Wow, you all have a brutal schedule. I just don't know how much that would help you playing all these really good teams. I mean, bearden had played a tough schedule and looked for that to help them in the second(weaker) hald of their schedule, but it doesn't sound like you all have a weak spot

See, I would really like to play that Clinton team again....I think it would be a littel different. But as for Bearden, they did play hard and kept trying the whole game. Next week we have Science Hill, it'll be a big region game that we will definetely be ready for. And how bout Johnson breaking his own record with 270 yds.?

You can't have 3 or 4 winning season until you have can ya Bdog, and thats what we're workin on this year. As for luck, luck has a lil something to do with every winning team winning, It's not all luck tho. There's a lot of things that have to heppen for a team to win.

I would like to see the boys from the other side of the county win some, but i just dont see it happening. I saw them play Scott Co., and they're just the same ole Jellico. They just don't have enough athletes to compete. Although, they do have a WR, that just moved here from Missouri I believe that looked like a player. We would have liked to seen him come to Campbell Co....lol. I don't know anything about Cloudland, but I would have to say that they will win by atleast 4 TD's, and that's if their a bad team.

I would have to go with either QB of Middle Linebacker. If your a QB WITHOUT a great running back to feed the ball to 25+ times a game, this would be a very hard position to play. And even if you do have that great running back, you still have to read everything pre-snap, and make all those calls. Middle Linebackers are the leaders of the defense and make all the checks at the line of scrimmage, they're responsible for knowing where everyone is suppost to be line up at, and making sure they're there. We really don't have a problem with this tho, but some might. Then they have to blow up the lead blockers, make lots of tackles, drop in coverage, etc. Luckily our team, Campbell Co., has a very good middle linebacker that does all this exceptionally well, Brian Slover.

Chris Johnson of Campbell Co. has 850+ rushing yards, and 9 TD's through 6 games. Johnson is only a junior, and didn't really start PLAYING util the 4th qt. of the 3rd game of the season.....if that makes any sense to you all.

I think AC is one of the MOST overrated teams in the state, and i think alot of people agree with me. This will be there first time to prove they're not since the West game. Fulton isn't as good as they were last year, but i think they've still got enought to beat the mavericks. FULTON-28 AC-13

I think that Karns will come out after the big win over Jeff Co., and beat SD pretty badly. But then you see the score of last weeks game and wonder if DB started their JV, or that SD just played them good? I really dont know, but either way I'd go with Karns big over SD. But im pullin for ya SD!!!!!!!

Yea, thats what we've began thinkin about. We really just need to take it one game at a time tho and just focus on bearden. But you really cant help but htink about it. We have a real good opportunity to win atleast 3 of the last 4 games, all region, and put us in good position for the playoffs. The Jeff co. game really hurt us tho, i just wish we would have played them like we have been playing since the clinton game. But pretty much everyone but South Doyle and maybe Bearden are aiming for the playoffs at this point.

Congrats to East. We(Campbell Co) played them the first game of the season and won 9-0 on all defensive points. Obviously this bunch has improved alot since then, I mean 332 yards is a pretty good game.....Good Luck in the rest of the season

Possumcop, I'm by no means gettin a chip on my shoulder or being cocky...we learned about that weeks 2 and 3. I was just trying to get the point across that we're not the Campbell Co. teams of old, and that we're gonna show up for every game(from 2 weeks ago on out). I wasnt directing it at you either, I enjoy your posts on here and hope you keep rootin for us en route to our schools first winning season.

Possumcop, we all appreciate your support and all...but i'd just like to know who you are. I remember in the preseason thread they tried to beat it out of you, but never got a real good answer. Did you go to Campbell Co.?

Campbell Co. beat Seveir Co. in Seveirs homecoming game 8-0.

I hope all you people who picked us to get just dominated feel pretty smart....Yea, they were WAY bigger than us, but that just didnt seem to matter. We came together as a team, and when that happens..it's intelling what a team can do. I just know that we'll be ready to play Bearden next week, and expect their best game for our homecoming, considering we beat them at theirs last year.

It's halfway through the regular season, and not everything has fanned out to be how it was suppost to. Who are your biggest surprises, and biggest busts so far this season.

As much as i hate them, Anderson Co. student section is pretty good. They all paint up and get real loud during games. They also have a new leader of the group, he is known as Kolby " The Viper " Nance. He is crazy and prolly should have been on one of those 25 greatest fans commercials for Bud Light. I hate em, but they're loud.

Well, prior to last week our defense was ranked #1 in ypg, giving up 149 and an average of 13 points. Out starters gave up 183 yards and 6 points to Scott Co., then we put our JV in, and im not sure how much they gave up...but we'll prolly not be #1 anymore. Once again, I'm not gonna make any predictions, but I know we'll come to play Friday and it should be a good game.

I think I'm gonna have to put this on every RB post until anyone realizes that Chris Johnson is a very good back. He has started all 3 years of high school. He's had some trouble staying healthy, but he's feelin good this year and had 233 yards rushing last week, followed by a school record 264 yards rushing, 4 TD's this week(309 all-purpose). I think he should be considered as not only one of the top junior running backs in Tennessee, but one of the best running backs period. I would like to see this kid from Ooltawah play, he sounds like a player.

I play for Campbell County and i agree that you all have some pretty good skill position players, but they're not THAT good. Given that the offensive and defensive lines are pretty bad, South Dotle just didnt seem to come together as a team at all when we played them. They were arguing in the huddle after the first play of the game, although it was a fumble...they took themselves out of the game right then.

But for some reason, he wasn't nominated for the prep-extra player of the week. I know it would be tought to bear Shiverdeckers 285 performance, but some recognition would be nice.

Coach Wampler from Campbell County is easily one of the best assistant coaches in Tennessee. He has went to school after school building winning programs, and with just a few more games he will have greatly contributed to the first winning season in Campbell Co. history. Coach Wampler will be a great head coach very soon. I know he has changed the way i play the game.

I know most people don't pay a lot of attention to Campbell County football, but we have a RB Chris Johnson that had 233 rushing yards last week and 2 TD, and 264 yards, 3 TD this week also breaking the school rushing record. He is only a junior. So be listening for this guy, we play Seveir Co. next week, it should be a good test for our improving offensive line.
