  1. Brentwood has a very young and inexperienced D, but you can't blame them cause this team graduated a lot of players who had been playing a lot of minutes the last 2 years, so most of these kids are relatively new. With that said I think the DB's might have a problem containing Wilks mainly cause he is a heck of an athlete. We will see what they can do. On O the bruins have a stud running back in Holling who can take it the distance everytime he touches. Had some great runs against C.C. The O-line was also opening up some huge holes. Didnt really get to see much from the WR's in the coffee county game, mainly cause Brentwood threw a lot of screens, i think they were trying to just get hayes in a rhythm. As for Hayes, I saw that someone said he threw 3 picks, from what i remember it was only one. His numbers would have been better but there were 2 drops. I blame those drops on just jitters, now that the blood is flowing i dont see the recievers dropping many more balls. I dont really know how to call this game, it just depends on how far the Brentwood D has come since last weeks game vs. C.C. Look for crawford to have a good defensive game plan, it is just up to the kids to execute it. oh and i saw that Sam Youree was on smyrna's team. I know he is a great reciever, yet he didnt have a catch, or a tleast according to the Tennessean. So is he playing for smyrna or not?

    GOLDEN TATE

Ok, the guy from Father Ryan should just quit hatin on Tate. If he is not the best prospect in the state, then who is? There may be a better WR out there, but can that same guy run the ball like Tate? If there is a better back, can he play WR like Tate? The thing that makes Tate such a high recruit is not mainly the numbers, it is his versatility, the guy does everything. If you haven't seen some of his highlights then find a way to see them, some of them are unbelievable. Especially what he did at the end of their game against Goodpasture. Plus the guy puts up great numbers, he is quick, and is a match-up nightmare. Maybe not a Reggie Bush, but is still darn good. And the guy can't help who he plays for or against, all he can do is go out there and play his best against the team that is out there, so stop hatin.
  3. What did both teams look like, mainly Brentwood?
  4. I know that its hard to narrow it down to one defense that u can say is better than the rest, but one of the best in the state or atleast the mid-state has to be Brentwood. They have allowed 60 points in 9 games (6.6 per game). It could be a lot lower, 23 of those points have been allowed in the 4th quarter when the team has been up by more than 28, so im guessing at that time a mix of the second and third team defenses are in, most likely playing against the frist team O's. In a losing effort they held Ravenwood to 14 points, the same as BA. Smyrna is averaging 28 points per game, Brentwood held them to 9. Franklin is averaging 34 points a game, Brentwood held them to 7 points. If defense wins championships, well Brentwood is making a very good case why they should be respected come playoff time. If your got comments on Brentwood, or you got a team with a good defense feel free to respond.
  5. Definitly Coach Rector. And that call took more than guts. Its not as if that game doesnt count for anything. First of all it is a region game, second it is against one of the top contenders in the region. Making those kind of calls is what coaching is all about.
  6. Can anybody give a description of what went on. Who did what, so on and so on?
  7. Well if you attend Ravenwood High you have a great schedule. You start off against Brentwood Academy, then play Franklin, then 2 or 3 weeks later you got Brentwood. And of coarse Brentwood vs. Franklin.
  8. Jennings will have support in Dylan Williams. He is as good a reciever out of the backfield as he is a running back.
  9. Yea when you lose, you can come see my ring since you won't have one. Ill show you what one looks like. Good Luck though
  10. Ok, some of yall are acting like it is Patrick Turner's fault, who cares he got the award. Stats dont mean a thing. Get off the kid's back. I'm sure he isnt the first person to slack off on plays and stuff like that. Everybody does it one time or another. The player with the best stats is never givin the award ok. Get over it.
  11. I dont really hate Franklin, I said yall have a chance just not that good of chances. I really do hope nobody gets hurt. And yea you might have gotten farther than us in the playoffs, but guess what, I still got a state ring, and you won't. Not saying I'm satisfied with losing, cause I definitly am not, but im pretty happy with how my High school career went, 4 straight region championships, a state championship. What Bout U. Good Luck, you definitly will need it.
  12. They also then shut Smyrna out. In the first Smyrna game they also put 55 points up on Smyrna, in the first half. I'll take 55-20 at the half any time. Oak Ridge averaged 45 points a game. They were held to 28. Plus Franklin's offense is no where near explosive as, CPA, Smyrna, and Oak Ridge.
  13. I don't think so, plus what do some people consider shutting down Riverdale. I honestly don't think the Riverdale O has to have a steller performance, only because the Franklin O isn't that explosive. I think the Riverdale O only has to score 17, but I think they will score 31, with a defensive TD in the mix. So yea the Franklin D can shut the Riverdale offense down, to a certain extent.
  14. Well I know this topic is about Riverdale vs. Franklin, but since i am not one of those plus members I need to ask this question being a bruins fan. What exactly is Franklin going to have next year, arent they losing quite a bit, just curious.
  15. This really is funny, I mean if I didnt live in TN or follow High School Football I would think Franklin's defense had a stretch of 9 games only giving up 8 points. I would think Franklin was only giving up 5 points per game. Riverdale was not doing that against weak teams. They only gave up 20 total points in 3 games to two teams that score over 30 points a game. Lebanon and Smyrna. Those were two very very good teams. They just got caught up in the wrong region. Oh yea Cookville was pretty good. Oak Ridge, can you fault them for giving up 28 points to them. They give up some points, break up the Warriors they stink, they will be luck to score 17 on Franklin? I didnt know finally giving up some points was a crime in football, its bout time they let some people score, but anyway, staying on the Franklin D, did I mention that Riverdale scores about 45 points a game, and Franklin is going to hold them to 17? Don't think so. Not saying Franklin doesnt have a chance, they just arent that good (their chances).
  16. If this guy is such an offensive genious, why has Franklin put up 20 or more points on a team over 500, 2 times. The Offense is going to have to have the game of the century. No turnovers and a lot of points, something no team has been able to do so far on this Riverdal defense. I mean they couldn't get more than 10 points on Clarksville.
  17. Actually I might want Ron Crawford, not to tak anything away from Coach Johnson. Riverdale fans might agree.
  18. Ok yea Franklin put up 31 on Germantown, they better hope they can put up bout 30 points again to have a chance, honestly, Franklin hasn't seen a team like this. 10 or 14 points definitly isnt gonna cut it, yea that defense has been helping your O out, but you can't be running the ball 40 something times a game, The Riverdale D will pick up on that, they held some pretty more than average offenses in check. And I think the Franklin offense is less than average. Mikrut prepare to run for your life everytime you pass, or prepare to get blasted when you run that option. P.S. Your only chance is to bust out a vintage formation and try to confuse Riverdale for bout a half, and get ontop of the, maybe you might have a chance. P.S.S. This is Riverdale's 4th or 3rd straight state championship game. They might just be on a mission, they might just be a little fired up, dont ecpect them to overlook the Rebels. Can't wait to see his game, definitly sitting on the Riverdale side. Go Riverdale. Good Luck to Franklin.
  19. Well I'll tell you one thing they have 2 capable backs in Watters and Hardeman. They love to run the ball, pass from time to time, they also love to run the option, but i dont think that is gonna work to well against the Riverdale "Team" speed.
  20. Ok let me just say this, I know scrimmages mean nothing but im going to use this. We (Brentwood) got stomped by Riverdale in a scrimmage 45-0. We played Franklin 2 times, the difference in scores 6 points we went 1-1. I Expect this to be the most lopsided game of all the State Finals. Franklin hasnt seen athletes like these guys. At least we played Smyrna and got some kind of look at a school like that. Franklin hasnt seen anything like it. 48-10. Riverdale, im going to go watch this game. Not cause i want to see franklin lose (ok i lied right there) But i wanna see Riverdale play again, cause i have kinda forgotten how fast they are, and even from the stands its nothing like it was on the field. Franklin good luck (Kinda, but not really ) I Hope nobody on your team gets hurt. Oh yea yalls only chance is to bust out another vintage formation nobody has seen on film.
  21. Well actually it was called the Notre Dame Box. A formation used in the 1930's by ND. It definitly threw our D off for the first half, till coach Crawford made some adjustments. After the first half we shut it down, but then they shut our offense down. It was another Bwood-Franklin. I hope Franklin wins, so I can go see Riverdale beat the snot out of them. Actually I just want to see Riverdale play cause i remember the scrimmage we had against them, but i just want to refresh my memory. Franklin winning would give me more reason to go.
  22. What the heck do u know, ill tell u who u dont know, thats Ron Crawford. I have never had more respect for a coach, it was a pleasure to be coached by this man and i have more respect for him than anybody. He truly does care about his kids. Obviously you are from smyrna or something, and r still mad his teams owned you. Its fine to not like him as associated to a team, but as a person he is a great man, obviously you dont know him. Thank you Coach Crawford, 2004 season was truly a pleasure to be a part of.
  23. T.C. Jennings, Dylan Williams, Daniel Becker, all from RHS, all juniors and making huge contributions to RHS.
