  1. so this is somehow the coaches fault hudsonj??
  2. Saw the first half of this one. Was expecting a better game. David Lipscomb controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. They were too big and too physical for Greenbrier to handle, as they will be for most 3A teams. #23 is a very good running back. I don't see them getting beat for a while. Greenbrier is always well coached but they were out-manned in this one and seemed to be very flat in the beginning of the game.
  3. With the varsity, Greenbrier had 3 scores to 2 for Westmoreland, with 1 of the Eagle's TD's coming on a blocked punt. Both teams did play well for a first scrimmage and I think the Eagles with be tough to beat this season. Although they only scored once, the offense looks tough to defend and the QB did a nice job of running the show.
  4. I find great irony that White House is complaining about officiating. If you have ever played at their place you know what I am talking about, they are the kings of home cooking. Sometimes karma catches up with you.
  5. I find this all very amusing and disturbing. First, year after year, White House is one of the best coached teams in the state regarding both game planning and fundamental football techniques. This is a major reason for their many many years of success. Now they start off 0-3 and all of a sudden these guys can't coach anymore? Second, regarding calling out specific players, coaches or coach/fathers is not fair, especially to the kids. Remember, these are high school kids. Bottom line: White House football is coached very well. If you have a problem with coaching or players don't complain on a public forum, please go speak with the coach or athletic director.
  6. This is shocking. After some things FatCat has said about GB's coaches in the stands in the past, he is now praising the coach?!
  7. Coaches are going to play those players who will most help their team win. It shouldn't matter if they take a senior's spot or not. If any player (freshman, transfer or Katrina displaced) deserves to play over another player then they should. However, even if these are superstar caliber players it will take time for them to learn the system they are playing in. I don't see anyone starting immediately. So if one of these kids comes, it still may be 2-3 weeks before they can make any impact. Lastly, these "great players" coming are often highly exaggerated. I really don't believe anyone has anything to worry about.
  8. Don't know much about Creekwood other than they have a tough defense. I do love the "Ron Mexico" screen name though!
  9. Don't underestimate Springfield. They were very young last year. They are loaded with athletes and if these athletes will turn into football players they will be a dangerous team.
  10. East is LOADED with athletes. The game is a tough pick though as neither team knows much about the other.
  11. Look it up, there is an "e" at the end of his name. Do your research before you accuse.
  12. The polls don't mean much. Most of the voters from the East and West don't know anything about CPA...they only see the 1 loss. The polls don't matter, what matters is how you do in the second season (playoffs). CPA is certainly a contender this year.
