No disrespect intended but this is a crazy statement. We have a good team but nowhere close to the best in SP history overall. I don’t know anything about Clay County but it appears they handled Sale Creek pretty easy from the score.
It’s laughable because South Pittsburg has kids nominated for Mr. Football? I guess you need to be mad at many across the state then because it clearly states head coaches, and media nominate and vote on them.
Laughable? This is only the second time that I can think of since they went to this format. I’ve seen Alcoa with 2 A whole lot of times. Surprised they didn’t have two again this year.
South Pittsburg’s best players typically haven’t won the award through the years. Some of them weren’t even nominated. 2010 Raquis Hale was the best player in 1A. I’m not even sure he made the list. 2007 Robert Robinson.. same thing…
Being a Pirate fan I hope you’re correct. I just know it’s never been easy against Gordonsville. SP needs to win the first two before they even worry about you though.
I agree… however.. SP beat Creek soundly.. you just said Dogs by plenty…. Dogs and Tigers are pretty close.. So this means ypu have been spewing some junk talking about us on here.
Clay County by 14
This is a ridiculous comment.
My east thoughts.
1. SP is the team to beat
2. Gordonsville to be the man you’ve got to beat the man.
3. Clay County
4. Coalfield
5. Oliver Springs
6. Whitwell
7. Sale Creek
8. Chattanooga Prep
None of my business but my those people could have been up all night smoking.
Or high… regardless it’s a crazy statement.
Jasper has the most athletes in the east and should be able to represent in Chattanooga. My biggest question is can Huntingdon overcome the playoff curse and make it out this season or will it be Riverside again?
Got on here to wish Jasper good luck and say it will be neat to see two undefeated teams in the county for the first time ever.
I then notice the ignorance is flowing as always. SP did play the #1 ranked D2 A team this season. I’m not sure Jasper played anyone of that caliber. Regardless congratulations on a great season.
