SP typically doesn’t embarrass Gordonsville. If we play I’d expect a competitive game like always.

I could tell when I checked their scores they were obviously improved. Last year they couldn’t score on Copper Basin. This year they put a bunch on them.

I guess I should say.. passing needs to improve. The running game is a lot better from last year but we miss too many wide open receivers. That’s not a knock at anyone. Just an observation I made.

You can’t convince me they aren’t better than last season. Looking at scores. They did beat Copper Basin by 60. They appear to be a playoff team lol.

Are you talking about the legendary Greenback coach? He’s the coach at Midway?

Go Pirates! Great win on Friday. Just my take but if this team gains some consistency on offense they will be hard to handle. Last year was all pass. This year is almost all run. Find some middle ground and it could be great year.

They looked to be improved this year looking at scores. They aren’t improved nearly enough though. I remember last year they looked like some good players but then when the game started it was bad.

Who gives a ****. MTCS and SP will be a great game. It makes you not want to read anything here because of the idiots on here constantly showing their ignorance. I hope the Pirates can pull it out.

If Whitwell can’t beat Bledsoe by 3 scores or more they aren’t a legit contender in the east this year.

Good and bad to those games. Just my opinion on it.

I saw some highlights online. You boys are good. The team looks like they have played together for a long time.

I’ve never seen a private school that wasn’t disciplined. They always are disciplined teams. This team won’t be any different. That all goes with the territory of private school kids that are paying a tuition. Comparing public and private is apples and oranges. As for Pitt. I just always try to trust the process. We had the better team last week and won 62-0. I’m glad we didn’t lose 62-0.

I wasn’t aware SP had anyone from North Alabama? Who is it? I know a kid came from Georgia and one from a private in Chattanooga. That’s the only transfers I know of at SP in the past 3 years. No need to compare us to what us going on in Memphis.

At times the offense seems in sync and at times it’s not. Defense is the constant that’s always seems to be there. Win or lose next Friday this looks to be a great game to help both teams get ready for the playoffs.

Might as well give my two cents like the rest of us. Was it just me or did the first half go by that quick? The Pirates could have easily been up 21 or 28 to 0 at the half. They need to get that efficiency fixed and score on every possession lol. Seriously though that defense is nasty and fast. The offense took awhile to get going but when it did.. in the famous line of the late Keith Jackson… woah nelly…

I always liked that game too but I guess in the long run it has no bearing with either team trying to win championships so I’m good either way. Regardless they probably could care less what I think. lol i did hear once that Jasper got the huge gate from the last contract in 2019 and SP did not get one in 2020 and that was a sticking point. No idea if it’s true or not.

Goodness gracious. SP couldn’t score that much on Sequatchie and after seeing their score last week they obviously don’t have a great defense. I don’t look for SP to score like that in this game either. Go Pirates!

Pirateman 28 might not be a Pirate. lol.. I’d bet all my assets they don’t come anywhere close to that prediction. I got SP 28-14 in this one.
