Forrest is Chapel Hill. They are in the region with Collinwood. They are 0-3 but have played 3 very close games. I assure you they are alot better than Valley of Praise or whoever that is you are playing Friday.

I only have one question. Who in the world is "Living Word Bible Academy?" Gee I would'nt want Whitwell to play any real competition. Where does Whitwell get these teams they play? I mean St. Andrews, Celina, T.P.S., Living Bible Academy, Monterey. If they played anyone they wouldnt have a winning record.

There is no way this is Boyd's best team. The best team in school history by far was their 99 team. That team would beat this team by 21 points. 1A is not as strong overall this year as it was in 99. I think Ezell, Lipscomb, and South Pitt will be their 3 toughest games. I said that before the year and I still believe it. F.R.A will not be tough they will beat them by 30 points.

Waverly must be really improved over years past. I know for awhile they were one of the worst programs in the state. What has turned them around? How is the Boldin kid doing? He use to be a qb , just wandering if he still was a qb. What positions is he playing? I was wondering about him.

What are you talking about? This will be a good game. There is no way S.P can beat Grundy 48-21. If they can win at all it will be very close. I think a touchdown either way would be a good guess. Both teams are 2-0 and both appear to be better than last year. Should be a great game on the Mountain.

I would love to play Cloudland schedule. Cloudland is a good team, but the other teams in that area are just awful. I admit Cloudland got S. Pitt last year, but I think alot of people from Cloudland think that is as good as it gets for South Pittsburg. Honestly S.P. and Cloudland team from last year could not stay within 50 of the teams S.P had in 93,94,95,98,99. Im not being smart im just stating facts. We will be at that level again it just takes a few years to get back to that level.

This one will not be close. F.R.A lost to a Friendship Christian team that barely beat Monterey last week. I think Boyd will have no problem in this one. Boyd Buchanan 48 F.R.A. 07

Grundy County is not far superior to the other two teams S.P. has played. I think Marion is just as good as Grundy. Grundy has more size but Marion has better athletes. I do not understand how someone can set here and say Grundy will beat South Pittsburg bad. Some people are just morans. I think it will be a pretty close game. I would say if both teams play like they are capable it will be a heckuva football game.

Polk County is much improved over past years. They are a legitmate playoff team now. Tyner is in their own league in their region though. Polk is playing for second in that region. Tyner 48 Polk 19

Any thoughts on this game? I am kind of curious if South Pittsburg will be up for this game or if they will have a let down after such a huge win last week. Does anyone know what Copper has? I know they are always huge up front. I think it might be close due to the game last week. South Pittsburg 27 Copper Basin 18

Don't be dumb. Boyd has the talent and recruits to go to the finals, but they will not win it. Boyd, South Pittsburg, Gordonsville, and Cloudland will decide who represents the east. I think a team from the west will win it again. Everyone in the east is still down. Granted Boyd does have a good team, but this team couldnt come within 4 touchdowns of their 99 team. The fact is the east is still down and it will come down to those four teams on this side.

You say South Pitt won because of mistakes but South Pitt made their fair share of mistakes too. The game featured 2 pretty evenly matched teams. Don't forget that when S.P got down to the 1 yard line trying to score their qb cramped up and came out of the game. The backup qb came in and mishandled the snap and got us a loss back to the 8 yard line. If our qb is in we score on that drive and the game is over. Also I think alot of people have forgotten that S.P had a touchdown pass with a few minutes left in the half but the qb threw the ball into the ground. If that ball is up, Jones' catches it and is untouched for a TD. Also don't start saying this stuff about special teams. Football comes down to offense, defense, and special teams. If I remember correctly special teams was a big reason Jasper got us last year. I also noticed South Pittsburg's players were in much better shape than Jasper's.

I agree Boyd will win. I hate Boyd because I think they have an advantage over the rest of the region. If you think Rhea is a good team then you are crazy. Rhea barely beat Coffee County last week. It is one of Rhea's weakest teams in years. East Ridge is a pretty decent team, but I hear they had several turnovers that was the difference in the game. Mark it down here. I said it first. While Boyd Buchanan might win the region they will not win the state. I am so sick of hearing all this crap about Boyd. Geez they have been to the championship game how many times? 0 They have been in the semi-finals how many times? 0 They have been to the quarter-finals how many times? 2 There program is alot better than when it was the laughing stock of Chattanooga, but until they at least get to the Big One they need to keep their mouth shut.

This one should be a toss up. It is just a gut wrenching rivalry. Both teams appear to be pretty evenly matched. I would expect a great game Friday night in the Pit.

They are really good. South Pitt played them in a 3way with Cascade, and B.G.A was just head and shoulders above everyone else. No doubt it is B.G.A's best team by far since Troy Fleming left. They have an excellent chance to repeat. Nice size linemen and a really good looking kid at tailback. He can really move for a white kid.

I totally agree that announcer at Whitwell is terrible. Sequatchie guy is terrible too. You cant ever understand what he is saying. Sounds like he has a mouth full of tobacco or something.

Didnt Greenback play Polk County in a scrimmage and get beat like 7-1? I have heard that from several people. Greenback football is just not what it once was. The late 80's and early 90's they were tough. Since 1995 they just havent been nearly as good.

This game is going to be very close. It is probably too close to call. All I can say is probably a touchdown either way. I think both teams looked better than last year. I wouldnt bet the ponderosa on neither team. I just don't know who will win.

If the Jamboree is any indication South Pittsburg looks to be a more passing team this year as oppossed to the past with a couple of good receivers also in the 2 quarters Marion Co. played in the jamboree they appeared to get tired easy which they can't do if they want to win games this year. I think South Pitt came out on top at the Polk scrimmage. I think the score ended 4-3 in S.P's favor. I am not sure if this is good or bad for them. Is Polk suppose to do well again this year?

B.G.A was the class of the scrimmage. They are a very very good team. I watched the whole scrimmage and they are the real deal. B.G.A's first team scored on 2 out of 4 possesions on South Pittsburg and scored on all 4 possesions against Cascade. South Pittsburg scored onceon a mixture of B.G.A first and second teamers. Cascade never really got close to scoring on neither team. South Pitt starters only beat Cascade's 1-0. South Pitt didnt look very good and neither did Cascade, but its only a scrimmage. B.G.A will win the state again in their division. South Pittsburg will be in the running to go to Murfreesboro along with Boyd, Cloudland, and Gordonsville. One of these four are my pick to represent the east. Cascade will finish 2nd or 3rd in their region and be out in one round.
