Falcon have been decimated by injury .. Loosing top 3 wr's this year ... Top one all year to knee .. The next two in 1st qtr Maryville game .. Plus they played both ways . So offense play making ability took severe hit .. And defense hasn't seen a offense like RC all year ... You just can't simulate it .. Falcons will show up and give best shot but will have to play well to have a shot in this one ..

They should they are the largest 4A team in state .. 3 more students and they would have been 5A .. they woulda crapped .. since they stayed 4A last time and had to travel to Chatt .. been good to see them in with OR , West , Central , POWELL .. etc ... the Mavs would have crapped ..

Stars .. Rebs will definitely take advantage of DB's DB's .. with a better passing game than Alcoa .. Alcoa QB was just throwing it up and depending on WR to make a play .. i think Rebs will pickem apart .. if they play ... it eas fun watching game on TV .. played there in 1974 .. place was packed ..

Fulton .. then we played private schools McCallie and then Father Ryan in finals .. lost 29-28 ..

Enjoyed watching that game with Alcoa tonight at that stadium ... brought back memories ...played there in 1974 .. 1st round of AAA highest class back then .. DB had good team .. seeing about 7,000 people there it was experience.. DB ran 85 players out if dressing room to our 35 .. Falcons came away with a 20-17 win on the way to a state championship berth .. place was rocking .. it was standing room around fence .. i remember getting a few choice words after catching a TD and getting rolled up under fence .. so yea it was nice to watch that game tonight.. nothing like high school football ..

I cant believe that school that big and them not have more skill players or speed on team ... if you know what I mean ..

Knoxville is a 5A town .. so there is less travel .. 4A is a little more travel if some teams move up ... travel to Chattanooga was not going to happen for alot of schools in knox co .. i didn't blame them last time .. its tougher for 4a to play in 5a because of numbers of players ...most 4a schools night have 35 to 40 players .. 5a tend to field 60 to 70 ..

Alcoa defense is the best I've seen .. they are relentless .. DB's DB's are awful ... their front 7 are pretty tough .. not as good as Alcoa .. the main difference .. DB does not have the athletes Alcoa does and the Alcoa D just too tough ...

Which was expected by all the folks I've talked too ..

Alcoa going 4A which all expected them too .. they just haven't announced it yet .

I know you are correct about DII A and AA ,,AAA ..well they may be some good games there with McCallie or Baylor or Knox Cath .. dont know teams toward the middle of TN are included on this side of bracket ..

Alcoa 28 DB 7 .... 3 TD margin ... no contest

They would win 1A, 2A, 3A , 4A or 5A .... and 6A they would be a qtr finalist every year !!!

Yea .. im against teams playing for sure when there are questions about contact tracing and illness .. there are some teams that seem to have stayed free of all this .. i like football like the next guy ... especially HS .. and you are correct with current injury situations to some of Fulton best players the last 3 to 4 weeks .. these last 2 games might not have been as competitive but im sure they would have been played had the issues not arose .. good luck in playoffs and against Powell

No reason too ... yea strong chances the Falcons could have took the loosing end of the games .. they didn't say " we dont have enough kids to play " the week they played Maryville . Sure they were .. do you see 2013 and 2014 on there .. no you don't.. cause Rankin backed out .. we played you guys when you were better teams .. we didn't cancel series like Rankin did .. 4a . 5a .. who cares .. we won't change because of Alcoa .. we don't shy away from anybody even when we have down years .. Alcoa is a storied program and respected .. but i don't appreciate them running away in 2013 and 2014 .. that wasn't right considering we had always played you guys when you were clearly better .. i will never disrespect the program .. just the way Rankin ran away those years conveniently when Falcons had 2 best teams ever in their program .Just like you posted facts about wins and losses .. Fact is Rankin didnt want a 2nd loss on the record .. cause we know Maryville gonna give one .. come on BC you really think he didn't think we were better those years .. he knew we were strong from that 30 - 6 thumping in 2011 freshman game .. but its all good .. i dont care who we play as long as we don't travel to Chattanooga like AC has had to do. I've enjoyed 5A even though we are short on numbers compared to the other 5a schools .. its been fun playing most all Knox Co schools and a classy team like Maryville ..

Once Gibbs and Carter moved them they knew travel to Chattanooga was happening like AC ...no way that was happening .. dont blame them who wants to play Brainard , chatt central and so on ...when they could play all teams in knox co .. no brainer .. nobody ran from Alcoa .. Gibbs and Carter know they aren't that good .. but they weren't traveling to chatt.. them the others knew that travel was going to be required .. i know admins at the schools .. none of them wanted that travel...and no rivalries.. lol .. Alcoa good but ain't nobody scared to play them ...but Alcoa did back out if playing Falcons back in 2013 2014 years.. Rankin knew what Falcons had after watching those freshman of his get hammered 30 - 6 in 2010 .. so he was smart to backout or he would have had additional losses besides Maryville .. thats a fact...

Fulton moved up to keep from having to travel to Chattanooga for games like Anderson Co has had too .. 5A has alot more better teams than 4A so it wasn't about tough competition or Alcoa moving up .. plain and simple what kind if rivalries can you have with 6 or 7 Chattanooga teams .. really .. when you can stay in knox co and play most games .. it was a no brainer ... Alcoa is going to be a tough team regardless where it plays .. Fulton plays Maryville every year and Maryville always beats Alcoa .. so it ain't about running from good teams .. travel considerations you have to examine ..

It gonna be tough without now our top 3 wr's .. plus they play defense too .. we don't have the play makers .. i would play # 2 at qb .. shotgun .. quick passes .. #3 runs .. play Sweat at TE .. get him a couple catches .. its been a struggle for Sweat this year .. i think he has lost his confidence and throwing off balance ...he needs to step into his throws .. CC has a good RB that will be dangerous.. look for a close game here .. cant afford anymore injuries ..are # 1 , # 14 AND # 16 all out for season ??

Falcons really miss their top 2 wr's who were hurt in 1st Qtr in Maryville game .. thats 4 starters to a team who plays 8 or 9 guys both ways ... just some bad luck.. the qb for clinton is elusive .. Falcons really undisciplined tonight .. about 140 yards In penalties.. but they pulled out a win .. they will have to scrap rest of year due to injuries .. counting the kid who hurt knee in preseason they are without top 3 play makers on offense ... gotta play on ..

Yea Stars #3 is probably the most improved kid on team .. gaining confidence .. runs hard for his size .. QB for Falcons had another tough night.. added was the fact we lost our # 1 and # 2 wr's in 1st and 2bd qtr to a arm and shoulder injury .... but the QB is a great kid and does his best .. if #1 and #14 had not got hurt then we may have seen #2 behind center .. but he had to play wr after that.. The Rebels classy as always .. the cards were stacked against us but our kids fought hard 1st half . But we were never gonna win that game .. just don't have enough players to rest some kids .. Maryville is Msryville .. disciplined and they execute so well .. great program.. outmanned or not the Falcons always appreciate the opportunity to play such a great program .. we have dropped off some the past few years but we are a proud program with the 6 State Champoinships in last few years .. not anywhere near our Blount Co friends but we have some history .. good luck on the way to another Gold Ball ....

Oh they are .. believe me .. but the education will probably outweigh the football aspect at Webb .. those parents are wanting those kids to compete and have a great education. So be hard to pull a kid from there unless the kids parents are having issues with the tuition .. maybe they can actually get a little if the kids goes to Powell or a free parking pass , free concessions .. coupns to all the eateries on Emory Rd .. a couple Bojangles coupons .. aint no telling !!
