  1. I'm going with all my Fayetteville gear to support..................Huntingdon! Beat Huntland!
  2. I agree 100%. The way it seems here is LC can't be successful without those kids. That is what I do not agree with. It is an excuse to me. If you only get 4 incoming freshman from each of the 5 middle schools each year, that's 20 kids. In a few years that's 60-80 kids on the roster. The key is keeping them and pulling more out of the halls. The kids are there but you can't year in and year out keep blaming the city system for low numbers and bad seasons. I really do hope they can get someone that can turn it all around but for the near future pulling city kids over doesn't need to figure into the formula. That will allow whoever it is to continue using the "all the skill kids are at city" excuse. Work the middle schools and get them out of the halls.
  3. I wish LC the best but who their coach is will not pull City kids over. I hope whoever does get it doesn't plan on pulling kids over to win. If winning hinges on that then who the coach is doesn't matter. The whole idea of hurting one program to benefit the other is a big problem down here. You just mentioned the same mentality in your post with "get those FV to play at LC." It starts with the middle schools. There are 5 that feed LC. It will take some years but you have got to get those 20 or more incoming freshman from those schools to participate and success will follow. I know what is down here and I feel like there is no reason we can't be like an Alcoa and Maryville with City and LC. Something like that takes time and everyone here wants results now. I want both to be successful.
  4. I started with these young men when they were 5 and 6 years old. Watching them commit to this sport as they have gotten older. This is what those seniors have worked toward all this time. We will be on the map for the next several years I am sure but a terrible way to end the season and their high school career. You will never convince me that this was not pushed by the locals around here. Karma will ride their back for a long time. Interpretation of a rule written used the way they see fit. Good luck to everyone who got in and keep our kids in your thoughts, remember they had no influence or control in any of this except playing the game on the field.
  5. Sorry guys..heard a few things but im not going down that "i heard" road again. Im hoping things go our way. btw we won and pulled starters early again...GO TIGERS!
  6. The TSSAA lawyer filed a motion and set it today. They had to go to Marshall County to argue because that was Judge’s scheduled court for today.
  7. yeah I know...didn't even like typing it!
  8. I have heard that officials told Huntland players on the field about the ruling coming down and that was before the cornersville game...I am pretty sure LC will pull none of the City kids over no matter how this turns out. Most certainly if he was involved. I would also say he would lose kids.
  9. I guess the more definitive question is when was the last investigation opened, decision made, and Fayetteville notified? If it was weeks earlier, were they not supposed to notify that they were under investigation again? Was if concluded weeks earlier and "sat on" until region play was complete? IF so then why? I am pulling for my Tigers that is not as simple as your previous post. This just sucks all the way around.
  10. Just added my 2 cents. Sounds to me like the determination of the investigation was settled before October 5th or officials would not have been privy to that information, but why do they know at that time and more games are played before Fayetteville is notified. I would have to look at the schedule and see if Fayetteville were told when those officials were, would there be enough region games from Oct 5th on to still get into playoffs. Your supposition above is black and white, which I wish this whole thing was but I am learning fast that TSSAA is not as clean as your post with investigations and who they choose to enforce which rules.
  11. Sorry lol no loose lips here! Can't burn my info getter. I dont believe everything i hear but the ref thing seems to me is true. Thats a big deal to me.
  12. An entirely new coaching staff and pulling kids out of the halls. Most of these kids have been playing together since 3rd grade and some before that. Last year only had two seniors.
  13. It definately happened..i heard it again tonight they also told players for huntland. Wonder if those refs could be called into court?
  14. I still would like to know if tssaa only investigates complaints from member schools or individuals or both. If only schools then you would think only possibly valid complaints are investigated. If individuals complaints are fielded then they would be swamped. I would like to know how the complaint was received, via member school or individual.
  15. I would say after a complaint. It is dated the 6th of September which is a game or two into the season. Seems like they would have gotten an answer on his eligibility form prior to September. Wouldn't they?
  16. Get back to the timeline of all of this...September 6th they receive a letter stating the kid is able to play written by the DIRECTOR who is the only person who can make that call from I have read here. Weeks and several games go by during which time another complaint about the same kid has been made while that Director is on a medical leave. I do not believe that Fayetteville was notified about the re-opening of the investigation which, by what I have read here, can only be done by the Director. During this same period, an official told an opposing team basically don't worry about losing because they are going to pull their wins at a later date. I read that here the day after the game. How would an official know that? How long after the second complaint before the ruling came down to pull their wins? Did the loose lip official speak on it between the complaint and the reversal of the directors decision that he could play? If so, then I would say it was planned to wait until the end of the season to pull their games. It would also make me unsure if I was going to get a fair shake at the appeal. Especially if the director is not going to be involved since he is still on leave I suppose. Lots of rumors floating around down here about who got this started. My question is who can make a complaint to the tssaa? Does it have to come from a member school or can anyone? I would assume only member schools. If anyone could they would constantly be investigating something. I just wonder if the second go around was from a member school or an individual and they re-opened because who that individual pulls strings. Surely the guy that is not the director that re-opened this didn't do so off of an individuals complaint. None of this sits right with me!
  17. I heard the mic hit the floor! That is a great post to read.....GO TIGERS!!!

  19. Tuesday, October 29, 2019 BULLETIN: Fayetteville will not attend TSSAA BOC Meeting: FHS Gets Restraining Order CoachT Reportedly, Fayetteville has gotten a temporary restraining order and injunction against the TSSAA which means that Fayetteville can participate in the playoffs until the judge rules. FHS will not be appearing at the specially called Board of Control meeting today. However,tThe meeting WILL be held at 1PM today. More details ASAP.
  20. We apologize for the short notice, but we learned this morning that a temporary restraining order has been issued restraining the TSSAA from conducting the hearing scheduled for this afternoon regarding the ongoing issue surrounding their ruling delivered last week. As a result of this step, we will not be appearing for an appeal hearing with TSSAA Board of Control at this point, but we will however present our case in front of a court of law to be conducted at a later date.... The decision to seek relief in court was not made in haste. We feel that this course of action is the most appropriate step to address this situation for the benefit of our players and coaches. Sincerely, Adam McCormick, Principal Fayetteville High School
