  1. "It was the fairest called game by the referees in several years coming to Gallatin to play." You say that like we always have homefield referees. "Watch out you will see us again." Judging by what I saw last night, I sure as heck hope we get to play HLHS again. For all of you HLHS players, parents, anb supporters that got on here and talked about the Warriors all mighty, unbeatable, dominating defense; keep making those comments on here because all it does is get other teams fired up and all it did was motivate the Green Wave even more. The Warriors defense got turboed.
  2. True, and if you read my post carefully, Hunter's Lane's schedule has been soft and that is a documented fact as well. All 3 of the before-mentioned teams are clearly the top teams in Region 5-5A and the next couple of weeks will sort everything out.
  3. Hunters Lane plays the exact same region opponents as Gallatin does, so how can you act like Gallatin has not played a good team when we played the 2-time defending 5-5A State Champion Smyrna Bulldogs. Who are the tough teams that the Warriors have faced? Whites Creek? Stratford? I'll give you the 4-A Maplewood game, but don't get on here and like Hunters Lane is 7-0 because they have beaten any "heavyweights" either.
  4. Gallatin 42 - Glencliff 7 /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  5. Gallatin will improve to 2-0 on the season. Green Wave 38 - Hilltoppers 10 /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  6. Gallatin finished the game with 569 of total offense after accumulating only 100 yards in the first half.
  7. Those small Gallatin D-linemen wore out Hendersonville's O-line didn't they 'hvillefootball.' Size does not always matter on a defensive line. Quickness and speed can kill.
  8. Gallatin has been a completely different team the last two weeks of the regular season. They truly having been playing inspired ball and have been putting it all together and playing together as one unit. Gallatin has been playing in playoff games the last two weeks because they were put in must win situations and they flourished under those conditions. The Green Wave are averaging 24 points a game that last two weeks and only giving up 6.5 points a game during that span. I think they will continue their winning streak this Friday night at Independence. Gallatin 17 - Independence 14
  9. Friday night is senior night for Gallatin. It is the last regular season home game for Gallatin with huge playoff implications. I think a lot of those intangibles favor the home team. I will take the Green Wave in this one because I know the boys are going to be playing lights out against McGavock.
  10. AirForce1 is thinking that just because the Hunters Lane coaching staff did everything by the book that everything will be okay. Unfortunately in 2003, Gallatin did everything by the book and the ineligible player slipped through the cracks. The same thing happened with Hunters Lane kid. All games that he participated in will be forfeited, which to my understanding has been the previous nine games.
  11. The school is held responsible for checking the eligibility status for each player. The athletic director and guidance counselo as well as some of the coaches work together on this. It is irrelevant if the player in question sat out one of those five years. He has been in high school for five years.
  12. I understand what you are saying, but the TSSAA will not budge at all when it comes to playing an ineligible player. In 2003 at Gallatin we had a player that slipped through the cracks somehow and he only played one or two plays in each of the games that he participated in and we had to forfeit everyone of those games that he barely played in. He did not play for five years, but there was an address issue that was not discovered until week 7 or 8. Believe me, I know how disappointing it is for the players, the parents, the coaches, and the school.
  13. Gallatin still has a legitimate chance at making the playoffs. All Gallatin has to do is beat McGavock and have Hendersonville lost to Hunters Lane next Friday night. All you can ask for is to have a chance and I like our chances.
  14. Well I guess now we know Hendersonville will become the biggest McGavock fans in the midstate this week because if Gallatin beats McGavock, Hendersonville's season is over. I say this because Hunters Lane is pretty good and I don't think Hendersonville will match up very well against Hunters Lane's physical defense and there athletic skill position players, so I am not giving Hendersonville too much of a chance to win this week especially after that rearend kicking they took from the Green Wave last Friday night. I think the Region 5-5A playoff seeding will go as follows: 1 - Hunters Lane 2 - Antioch 3 - Overton 4 - Gallatin
  15. GWAVE1, my reply was not directed at you. It was a reply to barnburner09's statement that said: "According to the Gallatin faithful, Gallatin has already lost the game." My comments are to the true fairweather Gallatin fans who do get on here and bash everything that has to do with Gallatin football and then act like they support the Green Wave. You are realistic in your posts on here, but you do not get on here and completely bash the Green Wave like some. I believe that there is a differnece in the posts that you and I ost on here and the ones that I am referring to by the "other Gallatin fans."
  16. The Gallatin faithful that you are referring to are not by any means true Gallatin fans. They are fairweather Gallatin fans. They talk good about the players, the coaches, and past Gallatin teams when the Green Wave is winning and then abandon ship when things are going wrong with the team. I know that this has not been an exceptional year for Gallatin football, but I have continued to support the Green Wave every week and still believe that Gallatin has a legitimate shot at making the playoffs because I am a true Green Wave fan and I believe in the team and the coaches not like some of these other pretend Gallatin fans that get on here and type up all of these negative posts about "their team."
  17. Rivalries have a strong tendency to be somewhat close. Hendersonville may win, but it will not be by 35 or more points. They are nowhere near as good as Hunters Lane right now.
