  1. I am not familiar with A-E. Can someone tell me some more about them. What kind of offense and defense they run? Who are some of their star players? How is the coaching? How are the fans?
  2. I was looking at something the other day and it said that Page has a TIGHT END who is 6'4" and weighs 305. He, or excuse me, It plays Noseguard. Now here is my question. What caused a coach to have any reason to put this guy at TE. I mean he is 6'4" and 305!! If that coach was smart, he would have put him at Tailback.
  3. I always just called it a "football"...
  4. My Top Five for 3A: 1. Fulton (until proven otherwise) 2. White House (1 of 2 teams that have a shot of knocking Fulton off) 3. Pearl-Cohn (2nd team; Return a TON of athletes) 4. Austin-East (Probably make it to the Semi's) 5. Catholic (don't know much about but they'll probably be good) That's my best. thumb
  5. I think that Station Camp and Sycamoe should be switched, but other than that pretty good. thumb
  6. MagicTouch:Eennie Meenie Minnie...Mo!! C'Mon Buddy
  7. I think someone's an Alcoa fan....
  8. There is a thread already started about the best classification in Tennessee. I personally think that you cannot compared financially aided schools to non-financially aided schools because of the funding the athletic departments get in private schools. They have better facilities, they can afford coaches salaries, and they have top of the line equipment. Now hypothetically, If you combined Div. I and Div. II, with Div. II not being Financially backed, could Div. II compete, or v.v. I think that you MIGHT have a few shools that are successful simply because they are large schools, i.e. Brentwood Aca., MBA, but otherwise I think they would be middle of the pack. What are some of your guys thoughts on Div. I and Div. II.
  9. Look at the Hillwood-White House game last year and that will tell you how Hillwood will do. Period. For those who didnt watch the game, it wsa 56-28. And that team is supposed to be better than this years team. And in that they ae moving up in classification, and it could get ugly.
  10. White House misses you guys already. Good luck with the new region and may the best team win it!!! thumb
  11. Best of luck to an incredible player. thumb
  12. Fulton returns athletes. White House returns athletes. Fulton has great coaching. White House has great coaching. Fulton has a Mr. Football Canidate. White House has a Mr. Football Canidate. Add the 2, carry the 1... I'd say they are pretty close to equal. One more thing, everybody in this thread, so far, has said basically that its going to be between Fulton and White House. My question is, how come in the pre-season rankings thread they have White House at 5th. Just curious.
  13. I am a White House fan, so..... White House over Fulton by 3 in the semi's Doesnt matter who they play in the title game, the winner of that game WILL be the state champions.
  14. I think White House will do better than 5th. But, I am a White House fan...
  15. Running and passing have to complement each other for a team to be succesful. If you totally focus on one area, you make yourself become predictable(Wing-T:lol:). Like somebody has already said, most championship teams have it about 60-40 favoring the run, b/c without a solid run game, you limit yourself in what you do passing wise. If you look at the teams last year that played for the title, MOST of them had a dominating ground game, consistent passing attack, and a solid defense, and that what it takes to win the Big One.
  16. Ricky Ladd, and for one reason. For anyone who saw the White House-Hillwood quaterfinal game last year, you'll know what I'm talking about. We in WH like to call it "The Run". Ricky gets the ball on like a swing pass on about the WH 40 yard line. There is really no way to explain what happened next, all I can say is it was the most incredible touchdown I have ever seen in real life. He juked almost the whole Hillwood defense to score. It was truly incredible.
  17. How many tackles did he have last year against White House. Quite a few if i remember correctly. He really got to show off that speed last year, chasing Ladd down.
  18. What you say is true, Most 5A schools don not allow there players to go both ways simply because there is enough players to allow everyone to play one position. But in many average to small schools, players are forced to go both ways, sometimes hardly coming of the field, i.e. offense, defense, Special teams. And every once in a while, a player will come along who is athletic enugh to play everything and play it very well. That, in my perspective, is pretty impressive. And if he plays more than just football, it makes it even that more impressive. So why it might not be a big deal in larger schools, it is a big deal every where else and that what this thread is about.
  19. Ladd, Miller, Lindsey, Cooper, McMurray, Cobb. Just a few off the top of my head. Being from Mid. Tenn., I have never heard of Gulmire. What are some of his stats?
  20. Maryville =University Of Miss. Rebels-Similiar design, lettering CAK= UCLA-Even was said on this thread they resemble UCLA's without blue mask Excepitions: Heritage= red with letter H on the side, different but not that original Alcoa= Pretty cool, Only one out of the ones that you mentioned that is pretty original ...homer , C'mon you can do better than homer
  21. I am going to throw this out there and you guys can critique all you want. At was at the Nashville MSL Combine and I saw Gaston Miller run on a laser timer a 4.4. Now, Miller is also on the track team I think and if i remember right he went to the state tournament or whatever the thing for track is. The point is, i would dare to say he is, if not, the fastest person in the state, football wise. And as the article read, it is HIGHLY improbable that a high school athlete who's body is not fully developed, can run a legit 40 time in the 4.3-4.4 range. So whatever you might think a legit time, go ahead and add on about 0.2-0.3 Seconds and you MIGHT be in the ballpark. .....what a dumb thread
  22. Not so much a fence as it is a thin piece of nylon-rope. And typically, when you construct a fence it is to keep people out of a certain enclosed area. Not much stopping any random person from just walking on the field without much resistance. Hey, but if you wanna call it a fence then thats what we'll call it.
  23. Without question or hesitation, Melrose. The only people who would understand are the people that have played there. No fence. No Visitor Lockerroom. Playoff Crowd=4,000+. And a few other unmentioned things....
  24. That article is the most accurate thing i have ever read on CoachT.
