  1. Post any cancellations/reschedules from 9AAA and 7AAA here.
  2. Blake Turner (Brentwood HS/UT-Martin signee), Reynolds (White House), Denton (Hendersonville), Oakland's 2B had an outstanding game against Farragut at the plate and made a great play to end the game on Saturday, he is good as well. Turner might be the best of all of these though. He can also play in the outfield and at SS.
  3. Ahh...Good Job with that link!! Germantown/Riverdale should be a good one tomorrow night if the weather holds, Hendersonville/Oakland as well. Too bad both are at the same time. CBHS vs Brentwood and Riverdale on Saturday will be fun to watch. Thanks for the help!
  4. Never count Oakland out...they will be ready to play when the games count the most!!!
  5. Anyone know where we can find a schedule of games all over Rutherford Co. for this weekend....or just post your games on this thread. Will be helpful for everyone wanting to get out and see some good baseball this weekend.

  9. Looking for scores from the games being held at Beech, Hendersonville, White House and Gallatin.

    9-AAA

I would go with this order if I had to pick today, based on teams I have seen play in scrimmages..(I have not seen H'ville or Beech play though) 1. Wilson Central 2. Mt. Juliet 3. Beech 4. Gallatin 5. Hendersonville 6. White House 7. LaVergne 8. Smyrna Just my thoughts, scrimmages don't count!!!
  13. Middle TN is so full of great assistant coaches, especially at the AAA level. Brentwood, Hendersonville, Oakland, Riverdale, Blackman, all have guys, both younger and older assistants that could be great head coaches anywhere else. But then again that's why these programs are where they are, because the school's care enough about baseball to have more than one solid coach.

Gallatin has a chance to make some noise in district play this year. They had a great weekend in Rutherford Co. this past weekend, but of course all these scrimmages that everyone gets worked up about don't really count. Gallatin has a good mix of younger talent and older guys like their shortstop who have played for four years. Gallatin being competitive makes an almost impossible district to predict that much more unpredictable.
  15. Any reports from the Rutherford Co. weekend scrimmages. I know there were games at Riverdale, Blackman, Oakland and Smyrna at least. Good thing they got this weekend in, it looks like rain all week this week.

    all- state team

Adkins -- Wilson Central LHP Price -- Blackman LHP Laylor -- Houston RHP Watson -- Hendersonville RHP Waldrop -- Farragut RHP/1B Porter -- Houston OF Pickett -- White House C/IF Watson -- Riverdale C Bratton -- Columbia IF Eldridge -- Farragut OF Bishop -- Houston 3B Ashcraft -- Brentwood OF Just some names from AAA schools to throw out there, as is always the case, the teams that have the best years and do the most in the post-season, get the most coverage and get the most players on the All-State team, unless you do something really spectacular, like Pickett did last year from White House.
  17. Oakland has a great facility, no doubt about it. With winning comes things like that though, just like in Mt. Juliet where they have built a great place. BGA is an awesome field to play on as well

    9-AAA

You have got to give credit where credit is due, coach Hendrix has taken four teams to the state tournament in ten years. His players love playing for him and they love playing for his assistant, coach Gilley in the summer. Until I played last summer with some of their guys that graduated last year, I hated every one of them. But after playing with them, I can see that they have fun playing the game and there was no one on our Shoetiques team that played any harder than the guys from H'ville, who are now all playing in college. All that being said....H'ville should be young and inexperienced this year after losing so many quality players last year. They will be there in the end I would bet though. Beech will be young but talented on the mound....Stephen May will surprise a lot of people for the Bucs this year. Mt. Juliet will be solid as usual all the way around with good speed and defense and another Shao on the way. LaVergne and Smyrna should be down, but they will win their share. Obviously if Wilson Central catches the ball in the field and scores enough runs they will be the heavy favorite to win the league. Gallatin and White House will be better than people might think, they along with H'ville are really wild cards this year. EVERY team in 9AAA has a great coach. This has got to be the most fun district in the state to keep up with and there is no reason to think this year will be any different.
  19. I just read on Hendersonville's website that they will play at White House against LaVergne at 4:00 with the "if necessary" game following if LaVergne wins the first one. I don't know if Mt. Juliet is going to be as willing as Hendersonville was in moving away from home. They have not been so far.
  20. Looking for scores from these games today (Monday) in 9AAA, also still waiting to hear how LaVergne/Wilson Central came out or if they have played yet.

    9AAA

Did Wilson Central and LaVergne play last week or this weekend. They were supposed to play on Friday...haven't seen a score anywhere. That's a big game for Beech as is tomorrow obviously with LaVergne.
  22. Did they play yesterday (Friday) or did they play today Saturday, or will it be played next week? Anyone know?
  23. Looking for these scores from Friday's 9AAA games. Beech lost 3-2 to Mt. Juliet tonight.
