P.S. lots of kids try to go to Brentwood because of something else: Its called academics. BHS is the top ranked non-magnet high school in the state. 2 years ago, there were 11 National Merit Finalists in the Senior class and the average ACT score was around 26.

The child who I suspect is in question(actually children) have fathers who work at Brentwood High School. The county allows kids of faculty members to follow their parents. This would apply if a kid zoned for Brentwood had a parent working at Franklin and they attended Franklin.

kid is related to Donte Hightower. Family is mormon and he transferred from some school in Utah. He's a beast. Plays outside linebacker and tailback. About 6'2" 225 and pretty fast.

O.K. that was classless, tasteless, but I just couldn't resist it. The Bruins have the ability to beat anybody(IF) they tackle and execute on offense. We play well, we win. We play crappy, we lose. Getting Mordecai Hightower eligible for this game will be big help. He'll be a difference maker.

Those of us who are Bruin followers just wish the Bruins would put together 4 quarters of football. If we had, we would be 5-0 or 4-1. The Bruins will be ready to play Green Hornets. I promise.

Runningblind, we were up late last nite after beating our crosstown rival, Pinkwood, so we'll need a day to give this game some analysis. Back at you.

Observations from what USED to be a rivalry: 1. I think Ravenwood got their English teacher from Page or some school in Arkansas. Seen on every sign around the Ravenwood campus. "parking regulations will be STRICKLY enforced". 2. Ravenwood students showed a lot of spirit sneaking over in the middle of the night to paint our bear which was a really stupid thing to do . Never piss off a sleeping bear. 3. Where was the heralded defensive lineman that you guys were crowing about? On his butt most of the night after being pancaked by Lucas Patrick. The only time he got the better of Lucas was when he kicked Lucas in the ........... Well, you know. 4. Final offensive stats: 395(Bruins) to 129(Raptors) AND we threw 2 interceptions deep in Ravenwood territory. 5. Final defensive stats: Ravenwood got deep in Bruin territory once on a really nice catch by the Ravenwood receiver. The Bruin defense was solid. 6. AND FINALLY - THE PINK BOX: I gave this a lot of thought and did some research about the color Pink and found this out: 1. Pink is the color of happiness and is sometimes seen as lighthearted. 2. Pink is considered sensual and passionate without being TOO aggressive 3. Pink is associated with romance and the blush of a young woman's cheeks 4. Pink is.... aw this is getting just more embarrassing. Don't worry about it Ravenwood. Our band is really wierd also. See you next year PINKWOOD! ON TO GALLATIN!!!!

Before all of the analysis and pathetic justification of why Ravenwood will beat Brentwood starts, I have to ask a more valid question after watching the Raptors play Page last night? WHAT WAS THE GIGANTIC PINK BOX ALL ABOUT IN THE BAND PERFORMANCE LATE NITE?

That is a real shame. You could tell he was in a great deal of pain.

As for #1, I don't know as I was across the field. As for the #2, the yardage marker guy said he was a good 2 feet behind the line of scrimmage. He was sober when he told me so it was probably about a foot. Hats off to both teams for a tremendous effort. They both deserve to meet again later in the year. I'm really proud of the Bruins for stepping up and not folding after getting down early. Kudos for Oakland for scoring when it counts. Two very well coached ball clubs. On to Ravenwood!

Hullo OaklandPatriots, Just want you to know there is one realistic Brentwood fan out there. If we rush for 200 yards we will win. Having said that, if we rush for 200 yards we will have made a HUGE improvement over the first 3 games. This game is a huge test and a growing experience for a rebuilt offensive(other than Lucas Patrick who is a beast) and defensive Bruin line. I hope we win but this game is going to be tough, tough, tough. The Bruins need to focus on getting better every game so hopefully we get to play one of these Region 7 teams in Cookieville in December. Go Bruins!!!
