derek trent hands down is the best sophomore but now junior in the state and has the potential to be one of the best players in the country his sophomore season he hit .505 with 12 HR and 42 RBI come on now those numbers are real and hes not playing at some small park like most of the players in the state (knoxville area especially) just watch out for this kid in the future i expect big things from him

im gonna send this out one more time and ask if there is anybody out there who might have any information about the jeff co team all i keep hearing is they have a guy who signed with ut and a player whos team played against them said the middile of there lineup was very tough although they dont play much small ball he said "they stand in there and hit it" so if anyone knows more about the jeff co team lets hear it

can we get off of bashing one anothers sports programs for a while and talk about the regional games coming up for both teams on monday all i keep hearing about jeff co is the guy who signed with ut...how good is he? anybody got any stats on him or other players? science hill as well gets to host mo east but i dont think that they will have a problem at all the team speed of science hill and timely hitting and solid pitching will be too much to overcome for east how much fun would it be to have one more game at cardinal park on wednesday to see who gets a home game and who goes down to knoxville for a sectional game.

there is no way that science hills sophmores are better than dbs are there 3 soph hitting over 400 and is there anyone with 12 hr i didnt think so and hoilman you have to be joking either that or you havent been to a game this year the kid looks like opie taylor and if memory serves correctly which it does he lost to db at cardinal park earlier in the year so i dont know where you were going with that one and i remember 1 hit he got against the tribe all year basically he is horrible. im still laughing that indirecltly you compared him to derek trent who if people dont hate on a soph will make all-state this year. thanks for the laugh though tonights game will be another display of indian power with an easy win

Speaking from a players standpoint im just glad to see some interest from some fans on here finally. you guys had me worried were in the middle of a long winning streak and there isnt even a thread on here talking about it. for those of you who havent made it out to a game this year bearing some miracle we should play at home on monday at j. fred (which just underwent a little facelift and looks really nice right now). Thanks to everyone who is backing the tribe cause this is a special team.

i would have to agree that in the first 2 games of the season hitting was a weakness (13 straight scorless innings and only 3 runs in 14 games) but i think everybody that knows about this team knows that it was only a matter of time before these guys start hitting and it happened last night against east in a 10-2 victory pumping out hits in the whole lineup and meanwhile still having a great performance on the mound. 2 big road wins in the conference at tough places to play is a big boost going in to next week and hoping to make it 3 road wins in a row when we take on the Hill at Cardinal Park.

im sorry to all the baseball fans in the watauga conference for you having to watch terrible baseball all year long you think happy valley is good come on now have you seen them play they have 1 decent player and dont get me started on unicoi my short term memory is pretty good and im sure they got beat 30-1 in a scrimage saturday but lucky for my im way down the road and dont have to worry about this sorry conference wasting my teams pitching

back to the so class vs the senior class lets count the number of sr starters this year i count 6-7 position players and 5 pitchers and lets count the number of so starters i see at most 3 starters and 2 pitchers FLASHBACK 2003 so starters 5 position players as well as 4 pitchers its clear to me who has the better class and dont try to bring up the sr class in 2004 because since the so were good i believe that 4 srs quit the team dont count on that happening this year. now im not taking anything away from the so class there good and they need to be real good to help the team this year but dont compare them to the sr class until you get your facts straight

DB will make it to state this year i said it now and i will say it again later and no Science Hill will not be good i dont care what kind of somphomores they have they lost everything from a team that wasnt that good last year they will get killed when they play DB

i think wait no i know that you need to add DB to that list they were ranked 8th in the end of the season poll last year and only lost 2 starters and one of those starters was only 5'3'' so he cant be that good you better watch DB this year
