  1. regardless of whether or not MUS was contacted for this Week 0 bowl game or whatever; MUS plays in the Bridges Bowl Kickoff Classic every year which is a staple in the high school football culture of Memphis. They couldn't care less how awesome or challenging a game with Alcoa would be because they are already playing an important bowl game, on top of that they schedule South Panola and Olive Branch and other great teams to prove their metal during their season....there is no need to schedule the all mighty Alcoa or Maryville. I promise MUS doesn't need 3500$ from anyone, they make well over that amount for all of their games.
  2. #7's name is actual Eric Watson. Just thought I'd correct that for the record. He is the real deal and he's only a sophomore, he's got like 2100 yards and 25 tds in 2 years. Thats kind of unheard of at CBHS b/c i think only like 3 or 4 freshman have ever started and contributed that strongly in the history of the school and as a sophomore he hasn't done as well as his freshman year but has still had a solid year.
  3. i just read one of these posts that said that ND was gonna kill LSU (HAHAHAHA!) and that Indy wasn't going to the superbowl.................that guy got both of those things wrong and that is unbelievable
  4. i think its funny that most of ya'll have never heard of spring practice in January and February......its funny because i've NEVER had a spring practice after February.
  5. are ya'll talking about that BS no call on the 2-pt conversion from like 2001 or whatever? When FLA was #2 and tenn won and went to SEC champ and got thumped by LSU?
  6. anybody think Chris Mosby from CBHS should be on there for linebacker??
  7. I agree that BJ Coleman is probably the best QB, if not, he is def second to Ingle Martin. But Coleman will do well in college. About Cutler, Cutler is 2nd string for the Denver Broncos and has gotten some playing time this year, he is looking to be THE guy in Denver come next season or the season after.
  8. how can u say a 14 year old is maxed out vertically. But anyways, yea he was making those kinda plays all year long. He is gonna win Mr. Football by the time he is a senior.
  9. being 5'8 at runningback isn't a bad thing, Barry Sanders was 5'8, Tiki Barber isn't much taller, there are alot of smaller backs that play at very high levels. Look at Warrick Dunn for instance. You also have to take into consideration he is 14 years old and has about 4 more years to grow
  10. i was wondering if any chattanooga people saw that freshman runningback from CBHS play? If you did, i would like to know what ya'll thought about his performance. Personally i think in a few years he'll be a huge prospect.
  11. i completely understand with what you are saying, i don't believe that it is as extreme of an advantage as people might think, but it is still an advantage nonetheless. Rollredroll is correct about the memphis schools being able to attract students from mississippi and arkansas, but having played for cbhs, that none of our players (at least to my knowledge) lived out of state. I know of alot of students that lived out of state but to my recollection, there were none that played ball. However, that possibility is still there.
  12. CBHS Eric Watson, has over 1,000 and is leading Div II AAA in scoring per game with 15 touchdowns
  13. i'll guess we'll see next year, from an inside source i hear that ridgeway and cbhs will be facing off this upcoming season.
