I've been providing online information on High School Football Stadiums since 1999. I started in Texas, where I live. Today I have 4449 stadiums listed in 50 states. Most states are partial listings, but I have complete listings in Texas New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, & Georgia. During this off season I hope to complete Tennessee. I' have already identified 311 High School stadiums in Tennessee. I list a;; High School stadiums, regardless of size. The only qualification is it has to be the field that the varsity team plays their regular season home games. If your team does not have its own home field, just let me know where you play your home games. After I have most of the high School stadiums i will add the college and pro fields as i come across them. I need your help if I'm going to get this done by August. There are few one school stadiums at or near 10,000 capacity. I can't think of any larger with just one school. Some small towns do have stadiums with a larger capacity than the town population. The number of schools does not always mean large stadiums. The School District I live in (Katy, Texas) has five 5A schools and the stadium only holds 10,000. Ratliff Stadium in Odessa, one of the larger stadiums in the state, has only two schools that call it home. Odessa High School and Permian High School These schools have about 3900 enrollment at Odessa and 3300 enrollment at Permian. Most 5A that share a stadium also have small stadium at each school for sub varsity games.

The largest high school football stadium in Texas is Alamo Stadium in San Antonio with a seating capacity of 23,000. There are several High School Stadium in Texas that approach 20,000 in capacity. http://www.texasbob.com/football/saindex1.html#AlamoSA

Ratliff Stadium generally has two sellout games each season, (not counting playoff games) Odessa High vs. Odessa Permian and Odessa Permian vs. Midland Lee games. These games are SRO and generally exceed 21,000 fans. Ratliff went through a major renovation in 2003, primarily new turf and ADA improvements. There are currently no plans to increase its capacity beyond its current capacity of 19,302. Thanks! This is a Great Board
