One other point , Alcoa was playing freshmen and GP couldn't stop them . They were just running the ball , nothing fancy , and scoring . Like in some other posts , do you tell your young guys to lay down after they have busted their hump in practice all year ?Also let me refresh some people's memory , 2 years ago Alcoa played South Doyle on a Thursday night and won in a close one , then the jamboree was Friday night . Alcoa was playing GP and Alcoa played their freshmen , none of the 1st or 2nd string, while GP played their varsity the whole quarter and ran it up . The GP coach never sub one player for varsity players . I know Alcoa didn't purposely run it up even tho it looks that way but GP got a little pay back for doing that .

After the win last week Alcoa should be rolling . I see another 55 to 6 score .

I think after a week off to rest and heal ,after a grulling 10 game schedule , the Tornadoes will be ready to play. They still remember the jamboree game 2 or 3 years ago and the circumstances of that . I see Alcoa winning 56 to maybe 7.

I'm not positive but I think Alcoa has home field through out the playoffs but we'll just have to wait and see . GO TORNADOES !!!!!! LET'S GO BACK TO THE "SHIP"

It is broke and out for the rest of the season . Upper arm , around bisep area , 8 weeks till healed . But this team has solid backups and a strong lb crew to step up . I hate it for Rae , he is a good kid and enjoys playing the game , but like I said Alcoa is deep and has solid backups to fill in . GO TORNADOES !!!!!!

My son plays on the team and didn't say anything about that to me but I'm waiting on a call back to see if it is true .

With Alcoa clicking on all cylinders on offense and defense It's going to be tough to beat them . And I don't think it will happen this week either , Alcoa 55 Sweetwater 7

This one is shaping up to be a good one but I thought the Fulton game was going to be close . Both teams are coming off big wins and this one is a region game for 1st place . What is everyone's thoughts ? I see Alcoa 44 Loudon 7

Should be an exciting game , I plan to get there early for a good seat . Alcoa got back on track last night and got an important region victory. Fulton is a very good team but have come up a little short the last 2 games . I still look for a very hard fought game because both teams need it . This one may too close to call , maybe OT. What does everyone else think ?

Thanks Coach Logan , I wish people wouldn't get on here and provoke . Friday night's loss ,I think, was a wake up call and the Tornadoes will get back on track .

After the loss to Maryville I look the the Tornadoes to look for some redemption against Cak . This being a region game they need to win and get things back on track because it doesn't get any easier with the schedule they have left . I think a wake up call has been issued and things will turn around Thoughts on the game .

We would have been glad to play closer to home but because of 2 county teams that I will not mention dropped us from their schedule and did not have the guts to call us themselves , our AD called them , . we found out in Nov. or Dec. and had to take whatever we could find . Everyone else had their schedule established and we were looking for games while trying to concentrate on the playoffs . Just had to put my 2 cents in .

I talked to Brandon after the game and he knows as well as anyone at that game it was a set up . Hopkinsville wanted him out of the game and they did just that. The officials should have to go a review board and be evaluated before being allowed to call anymore games . It was very obvious they were trying to keep the home town team in the game and were going to do what ever it took to do so but the talent Alcoa has and the good hardnosed play of the team wouldn't allow it . Brandon being tossed just made them play harder and leave no doubt who was the better team .

I was at the game last night and from my seat I saw the hopkinsville player grab Brandon's face mask and was in his face , all I saw Brandon do was remove the players hands off him and start to walk away when the ref throw his flag . He ejected Brandon and #8 from the game and it was even announced on the loud speaker from the press box. However #8 came back in the game the next series and played , he even played QB . How does this get by the officials ?Especially when he playes the most noticed position on the field , QB .I think once the film is reviewed and see the what actually happened , Brandon will be allowed to play . Disagree if you like but unless you were at that game and saw how terrible the officiating was you'll never know .

Yeah , where are they all at , largec, bombsquad and all the smack talkers ? Alcoa plays no one and weak teams , I tried to tell ya this alcoa team was different but you wouldn't listen . Well you got to find out the hard way that Alcoa is for real and that speed kills . Way to go Tornadoes, we are proud of you .

Alcoa is well prepared too and should be a great game . Our coaches have done a great job this week and the kids are really fired up and ready to avenge last year . I see it Alcoa 35 Lipscomb 31

Who is going to win ? My money is on Alcoa by 40 . Too much speed and playoffs start up in 2 weeks .

Good point RebelRon ,it was a great game and my hat off to Maryville with the win . Usually when a team is down 24 to 6 at halftime they lay down and die but Alcoa has no quit in them and they fought back , the score before the half made a huge difference in the out come . Our corner cramped up and fell to the ground which left the wideout wide open . But that's the breaks and you just have to accept it . Anyway I think Alcoa is going all the way and bring home the gold ball . Oh, by the way largec don't make me get in a battle of wits with you I wouldn't want to fight an unarmed person .

Hey bombsquad , as you might remeber in that feeble , little brain , it rained for two or more days here and the field was completely under water and there was NO extra practices on alcoa's part at all . If you can get a Murphy Fair book ,look what your coach said about Alcoa . Like I said Alcoa was mostly sophs . and freshmen last year and DL was loaded with seniors . But when you turn the ball over to a good team on your side of the 50 , you usually come out on the short end . DL was a very talented team , I admit that , and I'm sure Huntingdon was good too or they wouldn't have been there either . I'm just saying Alcoa is much more physical than last year and have more experience in big games , they prepare well each week and get ready to play . So until you play them again , don't go on saying you own East Tenn. . Oh by the way , have fun in 3A next year playing teams like Austin East and Fulton .

Hey knowitall , I thought it was kind of funny watching the championship game last year and seeing DL play the exact same game Alcoa played against you the week before . What was it 6 picks and several fumbles on your side of the 50 ? And their RB rushing for 328 yrds. , wow . But you better look out this year if you meet Alcoa again , these kids are a year older and much more physical than last year . Even Maryville will tell you that , they played their starters the entire game and they never do that . Alcoa has scored more points on them than anyone else this year and Maryville playes 4A and 5A teams that are very good . So if Alcoa and DL meet this year , it just might be a differnt outcome .

With it cooling off , I see Maryville by as much as they want . Too much depth on both sides of the ball and playing at home , Maryville by 40+ . I would love to see an upset but I don't think WB has it in them with all the problems going on there . Sorry WB fans , but I think the score will be 53 - 7

Last year Alcoa had a tough time in the 1st half but a great 99 yard fumble return for a TD set the tone for a Tornado win . Heritage has a new coach this year and played a few teams a tough game , but came up short . Oak Ridge and Maryville did put up big numbers tho. This one's at Goddard Field and the Tornados are preparing and playing very good , so I see no reason this one shouldn't be a win for Alcoa . Alcoa by 28
