  1. the cookeville cavaliers are a pretty goood team this year all the boys are from cookeville and are shotting 300 or under in all tournaments this year and have beaten riverdale in their first tournament but riverdale beat them in cookevilles tournament but they are both in the same region so we could see some good ol action at regions with these two teams and if it wasnt for jason carrying riverdale high school on his shoulders and shooting seven under par each time they wouldnt be any good i guess what i am saying is add millard to the cavs and nobody could touch them they would shoot under pat with him on their team
  2. the best player in the state by a little margin right now is wes roach but the player who is playing the best is jason millard from riverdale high school if he keeps up the way he is playing no one can beat him
  3. Is it true that he was kicked out of this Friday nights game and will have to sit during next weeks Alcoa/Maryville contest? Details?
  4. [As for Franklin County's tailback and Smyrna's, you can't even compare them to Paxton. He's much better.] Fuggly 63.......did u realize what u said. Gus Paxton is having an awesome year but when u say you cant compare University of Tennessee commitment Marsalous Johnson to Gus Paxton. Because Paxton is so much better. I think you make that statement without knowledge of Marsalous's skills. ON ANOTHER NOTE As far as the game going, I dont see Cookeville doing much offensively. Cookeville will not open up the passing game which many suggest they do. Jerry Joslin does not pass the football. He runs the football and is darn good at it if you dont already know. Cookeville's recievers are not athletic enough to get open against Riverdale's corners IMO, but i do expect the game to be a close for at least the first half to three quarters. This is Cookeville s best chance to beat Riverdale in the last few decades. Cookeville will come out with all theyve got but i dont believe it will be enough. The Wendy's man....Dave Thomas will make a few big plays, running the football, which will be enough to propel Riverdale to another championship game. My prediction: Riverdale 24 Cookeville 7 Go Cavs....Prove me wrong
  5. I'll pick Alcoa....and i have a quick question for the Alcoa fans....Who is the junior defensive end from Alcoa who is apparently getting alot of attention from some big name colleges? All information is appreciated.
  6. I dont see Riverdale losing in the regular season.
  7. South Gwinnett's star guard is Louis Williams. Cookeville will have their hand full.... Heres a link.... Louis Williams Channing Toney of Brookwood is also highly touted.
  8. Thank You Are there any can't miss prospects going to be playing?
  9. I know Cookeville and Shelbyville are going, but what other Tennessee teams will be there and if anybody knows all the participating teams please post them.
  10. Hey BIGH32: I'm a white plains boy that enjoys following the big orange. So do you know who I am?
  11. 1. Wright probally did have an off night but with Cookeville's lack of size he should have been able to take over the game. I guess some credit should go to Cookeville's defense. I was critical on Wright but most people will look at prospects that highly touted critically. He did have 6 or 7 blocks. He is young and if he can gain some weight and muscle he will be a force. I am sure BA has a good strength and conditioning program so this should not be too much of a problem. 2. Holbert's decision not to play is probally the best decision for him. 3. No i don't go to UT. I am from Cookeville and a freshman at Tennessee Tech. But I am a very big Tennessee fan and would love to see Holbert at UT. Whats up with all the BA boys at Auburn? Glad to here your having a blast at UT. And a guestion for you? Are you invlovled with the Sports Management program at UT, I saw were you were interested in broadcasting.
  12. It was a close low scoring game. Both teams pressed most of the game. John Rader hit a half court shot at the end of the game to pull within two. Wright did not impress me too much. His hands and aggressiveness are questionable but with time he could be something special. Cookeville played zone and BA failed to utilize Wright's height. But congratulation to both teams on a hard fought game. I thought Dabid Holbert played b-ball for BA but I did not see him at the game. Does anyone know about him and his college plans. To all BA students: Tell David that we need him at the University of Tennessee and can't wait to see him in ORANGE. GO CAVS and GO VOLS!!!
  13. I think that the number of playoff teams should depend on the number of teams in the region instead of allowing the top 4 teams in every region to make the playoffs. For example Region 3 -5A has only 6 teams or only 5 if you don't count Warren County(sorry i feel for ya) and 4 teams will make the playoffs from that region. This will also cut down on teams making the playoffs with losing records. I just wanted to see if anyone else felt this way.
  14. I'll take the Cavs by a touchdown. This game is for the playoffs. Good Luck Cavs. And i'm pretty sure long snapper could take half the posters on this board with one hand behind his back.
  15. What passing game? Key on Edminston cuz he is a playmaker. LC should be ready for this game cause they want revenge from last years loss to Cookeville.
