  1. he ain't the only one to do that Barn, ain't the first either. I reckon you'd have to ask ol Jack that question. I heared he went down to georgie and coached a spell came back around 77-78 and never left agin. seems like a gypsy wouldda moved round a might more n that
  2. I believe I will mooner, thanks for the invite. my ol mule is to tuckerd out to make it that fer and to tell the truth I ain't fer shur how to get to that thar eagle lodge. I ain't got to work tomorree no how. when ye draw a guverment chek ever day is a holiday.
  3. Now Barney it seems you know your Huntsville History purty well but that's just it its history. them highlanders did ok when ol Jack was a leadin em. Seems I recolect them winning a district champ and going to a couple bow games back in the day and no they ain't ben wurld beaters recently but they er uh tryin to rite the ship. seems to me you ar a might bitter bout them leavin huntsville , and seems that since you know so much of that history stuff you'd a remembered that Winsteads first team had a bunch of key players njured. its mighty easy to beet up on a feller when he's down n out but ol big red 's gonna git back up soon.
  4. U didn't miss a thang mooning man 57 that thar wind comed up out of nowhar and blowed my hat plum off'n my hed. Oneidees offensive line had truble a movin agin that strong wind! hopefully they'll get back on trak on Thursday agin that new skool eagleville, eaglesnest uh eagle sumtin.
  5. FYI people that offense is TL's look back at the 08 team ist's the same stuff. he's never had an oc. he has offensive play callers. He does put complete trust in that play caller tho. he will make a call on occasion.
  6. Disciple, I'll admit I was pulling for Tony lambert to get the job some of the reasons are personal, but most are professional. He's proven himself everywhere he's been. His defense has always been excellent. He is a great motivator and he's someone you would want your kid to be around. pcc wasn't just a slogan he lived it and expected his players to do the same they were accountable for thier actions on & off the field. pretty good qualifications for a head coach. disciple, you know as well as I do you can score 40 pts a game but if your defense can't stop the old ladies rest home @ twilight & you give up 50 a game you ain't gona win many. It's a shame when a quality person is available for a position and the people entrusted with the future vision for the county schools can't stop looking over thier shoulder long enough to do whats best...... ahhhhhhhh I love the smell of politics in the morning!!!!
  7. Disciple, great post. you left one off the list though.......politics... it was politics that cost coach diggs his job. even Bill hall had to fight the political machine. so..... it'll be whoever Mrs. Wilson wants pure & simple. wich may or may not be best for the program. All the people you named are great coaches & I wish the new coach all the best
  8. nature boy you are oficially my favorite wrestler ever /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> miller was everything kaz said and probably more I am a little biased in my pick. clint caught everything threw his way(both of 'em this year) /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> a great blocker but like I said I'm a little biased in my pick
  9. You weren't there you don't know. I was I know. I know what kind of person tony lambert is. you don't. He was a key part of that '84 district championship team. he worked hard every day. I know I was there. I question you 1734 have you ever buckled it up? I doubt it. I'm gonna miss Tony @ Oneida. I wish him all the best at A C.
  10. scott high played @ taft during the '84 season and lost. you play a different team when you play at taft. we scrimmaged them there the year before it was shs, taft, livingston and notre dame acadamey. all day inside the wire. in the mid 70's @ scott a taft player returned a kickoff for a td jumped the fence and kept running. they caught him about 2 miles from the school still running full uniform with the football. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> and they took one kid off to the bus and cuffed him there one year.
  11. hey kaz I've been sitting quietly /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> just watching and reading not wanting to do anything to embarrass my young un or my pal TL. I don't care to embarrass coach stephens /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> . I think the tribe has to put the clamps on ray don't let him get happy. these sr's been playin him since they started back in the 6th grade so they know what a hoss he is. that said I truly believe the indians advance but they better stay focused, not worry about grace and greenback, but worry(a lot) about midway. as always GO BIG ORANGE!! oneida 24 midway 12
