Well, I have to start it off with the PK that Mark McWatters saved in the championship game. It was an amazing save. It switched the momentum into Father Ryan's favor. It definitely goes down as one of the best highlights of that game.

Because they have a player thats ranked nationally.... and thats pretty much it in my opinion

Today Gallagher had another one of his throw in assists, but not to Rodriguez this time. The throw was absolutely amazing. The ball came in low and fast so it pretty much just went straight into the mix of a bunch of players and Carroll put it in. It didn't really seem like there was anything CBHS could have done about it. You should have been there to see it. Getting a throw-in in the defending team's last 15 yards of the field is pretty much the same as Father Ryan getting a corner kick, but better really. It was a good game, definitely worth driving 7 hours to memphis in back. Good job to both teams and good luck next year!

I think Father Ryan will step up and show CBHS why they are ranked number 1 in the state on Saturday. Father Ryan isn't going to lose to them a second time...

just to let you know, how games went at the beginning of the season has nothing to do with anything now. All teams are equals, in my opinion, at this point. Each team having the same chance of being state champs. Who beat who at the beginning of the season doesn't matter anymore so stating something like "just to let yall know mccallie already beat Father Ryan 4-2 in the Southern States Challange in huntsville alabama" is completely useless. I hate to tell you but Fairball is right. Father Ryan is number 1 because they have beat almost all of the good teams they have played. All those teams he mentioned are the top teams in the state right now. While Father Ryan beat Brentwood, Bearden, and Farragut, CBHS lost to all three. There's one major difference right there. Really other than the win at the beginning of the season over Father Ryan, CBHS hasnt beaten any really strong teams. There's no way they should be number 1. Baylor on the other hand has a couple of DII big wins and ties. They look like they had a good year. McCallie has also had a good year with two of its losses coming from out of state and one big 0-4 loss to Baylor. And like CBHS, not many big other than Father Ryan. And you must be crazy to put BGA over Father Ryan. Their schedules don't even compare in strength. Father Ryan had the hardest schedule and only lost twice. Thus, they came out on top

Yes, they did play Lipscomb. They won 8-0. So now they only play MBA before the tournament starts. Thats on Friday night.

Don't worry mjuhb, I'm pretty sure after this week that the rankings will change and father ryan will go ahead. At least it should looking at how well they've done. They should end being at the top of both.
