Last night was Senior night for Bledsoe County. We only had two offensive possessions in the second half. The first one was 4 and out. The second possession was an 11 play drive that was run to seniors that don't see much offensive action. Bledsoe was probably fired up to play in large part to Grundy's actions before the game. First they came out with helmets in the air and then did some kind of crazy dance party before they stretched. If that wasn't enough, then they almost ran a play through our parents and seniors as they were being recognized on the field before the game. They also may have had a bad taste in their mouth after last years game at Grundy. On another note...I believe that was the best complete game we have played all year. Defense has really stepped up and offense was really clicking last night. Good luck to Grundy in their remaining games. I think they win out and make it to the playoffs.

The Bledsoe County Warriors will host the York Institute Dragons this Friday night. The Warriors are coming off a big win Friday night defeating Sequatchie County 21-17. The Dragons are coming off a loss to district foe Dekalb County 37-10. How do you think this one turns out?

Bledsoe's QB has been out the last couple of days, but it wasn't because of an injury. He has been battling flu like symptoms since last Thursday. He was back in school today and will be playing Friday night at Sequatchie. GO WARRIORS!

I never said we won. I think SP thought they would roll over the warriors and are trying to pad the scoreboard a bit. I am not trying to take anything away from SP. Just stating the facts.

The scores I had for SP were 2 passing tds, 2 long runs, and a pick 6. Sp had another long run late but was brought down on the 1 yd line that was followed by a clipping penalty, bad snap, 2 no gain run plays, and an inc on 4th down. I am not trying to be a smart a** but that is all i had. I am sorry if i missed the other scores but that is all we had in the stats and film. Good luck to the Pirates! They will be playing in december imo.

I was at the scrimmage last night and kept the stats for the game. I also watched the game after we got back last night. The final score was 5 to 4 south pitt. It was hard to tell for sure which were JV and Varsity because there was a lot of subbing going on because each team had 10+ Possessions. I thought both teams played hard and did some good things. Both also have some areas to strengthen (secondary). B. Smith, Boynton, and Frady were all on the sideline last night due to minor injuries but will definitely be healthy by week 0 if not earlier. I thought we played much better than at Lookout Valley last friday night. The best thing about last night was that both teams got some good work in and got to see who could step up when needed. Bledsoe got to look at a lot of younger guys due to injuries and several of those young men did real good jobs. All played hard and hats off to O-line and Chucky (#21) especially. Go Warriors!

When did u scrimmage Grundy? If you killed Grundy you must really be improved. Good Luck this year!

I feel we are better than both Grundy and Whitwell.

We killed Whitwell in a Spring Scrimmage but that was spring. They have improved quite a bit since then. Still they are not a powerhouse by any means. They have a decent QB. He is about 6'6" 220. Ok arm but slow. They are young and not very deep. Grundy has improved a lot since last year and played well last week in the Jamboree. IMO Grundy will be a hard game for u to win, but u should be able to beat Whitwell.

Coalfield is traveling to Bledsoe County this Friday night. I am from Bledsoe and I haven't heard much about Coalfield this year. It was a very close game last year and I was just wondering if anyone knew how good they were this year?

Just heard that the game has been moved to thursday night due to weather.

I think this will be a tough game for us to win tonight. However, I do believe that it is possible if the injury bug doesn't bite. Bledsoe 21 Polk 20.

Co. 0 Dayton City 34 - Whitwell - 22 Spring City 40 - Grundy 6 Rhea Central 20 - Lake Forrest 14 OT Some bad news from Jasper: Hamilton Shoemaker out for season with seperated shoulder and broken collar bone. Keep him in your prayers. He is a good kid and tremendous athlete. If these scores are wrong let me know and I will change them.

All I know is that bledsoe was down by double digits going into the 4th quarter and ended up winning by 1. Sorry but I don't know the exact score.
