  1. NO NO NO NoDoubt! You misread! I was responding to an email that I KNOW who sent it to me! They took everything I said WRONG plus wanted to take jabs at Tyler because they KNEW he got into trouble! And that is the ONLY reason I responded. I was afraid they were going to put something on here if I didn't apologize!! Understand this was NOT directed at you!
  2. Normally I would never do anything like this but I feel this is necessary. The ONLY reason I am writing this is because I got an email stating that I offended people with my post. I am going to address this and then I will not speak or write to anyone about it again. We need to stay united as a community and not take things personal just like I told the guys. Please don't let a few words that was meant to make a child feel better upset you. This was an attempt to get people to know that things can be hurtful even if you do not mean them that way. I wanted people to know how some of the future Bobcats were feeling. I in NO way meant to make others feel bad! And if you will read what I wrote I did NOT say whether these things were being said by adults or other peers. I just said the ones (fans), that did not mean in anyway adults. I would never tell a child to speak badly to an adult or anyone else for that matter. It was said that I am just jealous because Tyler is not a great player or didn't contribute to this team like he should have. It was also said that Tyler needed to get over himself and move on and concentrate on ball. Well, whether you want to believe me or not, Tyler was not one of the ones that said anything to me. It was actually a freshman that mainly talked to me. Tyler is very strong in the confidence area. I am proud to say he listens to people but decides whether they are being a positive influence or not. Now I am not saying these other guys that spoke with me are not, I am just saying that they are not to that point yet. As far as Tyler getting in trouble a couple of weeks ago. Listen to me good over this one, he was punished accordingly, end of story. I REFUSE to let anyone hold this over his head. EVERYONE has faults, makes mistakes, does wrong and is diffently NOT perfect! The only perfection that I know is God. And I am quite sure that God has forgiven Tyler so he doesn't need anyone else to try and make him pay or ask for forgiveness. He KNOWS as QB he needs to be a leader and he plans to do that. IF he stumbles along the way he NEEDS people to remind him that they love him and as his mother I am going to do that whether anyone likes it or not. I am not going to tell him he needs not be QB, like what was said to me in the email! With all this said (and I think I addressed everything) I am willing to forget and forgive your email if you will take this public apology if I hurt your feelings. And if there is anyone else that I made feel uncomfortable or felt like I was putting them down I say again it was not meant for that. United we stand, divided we fall and I BELIEVE that we all will stay united. GO BOBCATS in ball and in LIFE!
  3. I LOVE google.com so I googled Reggie White's fastest 40 and it came back 4.6
  4. The Basketball in Greenbrier is back to the way it was in the old days Keep up the good work.... Go cats Go
  5. For those of you that are feeling like you cannot accomplish what this year's team did (and I know of a few feeling this way because you have tusted me enough to tell me)Please KNOW there are quite a few fans behind you! Ya'll know I am a proud mother of a Bobcat but I am also a HUGE fan of the TEAM past, present AND future! Let me give you a little advice that I think may help. DON'T ever look back unless it is for fond memories! The past can (not always) but can cause us to lose focus on the present and future. My grandmother told me a very long time ago to LEAVE the past alone, DREAM about tomorrow but LIVE for today! And I am praying that you guys can truly figure out what that means and go from there. The ones (fans)that are making you feel bad probably are not realizing what their statements sound like to you! I KNOW you guys respect the seniors that are leaving and boy howdy so do I!! They have given me a lot of pleasure on friday nights watching them. But let me tell you guys, unless I am dead wrong, these guys would never throw their year up in your face, they have respect for ya'll as well! I KNOW they will cheer you on to state (an beating White House, lol)and PRAY for you to bring home the championship! You are connected to them because you are part of their team, they have needed you for practice and standing on the sidelines cheering them on and if you bring home a championship they can be pleased to know that they probably gave you some tips, advice whatever to help! I hope this helped at least one if not all of you. Be PROUD to be a BOBCAT no matter what year it is! I love you guys and can't wait to see YOU play! GO GREENBRIER!
  6. Greenbrier the "underdogs" again, surely you jest Sorry couldn't help it! I reckon someone has to be might as well be us. Looking for a great game. I am sure both will practice hard this week. As always Greenbrier will be told by this board, coaches, parents, the community - Focus Focus Focus! May both teams have a safe game and have fun, enjoy themselves. GO GREENBRIER!
  7. was very sad last night to hear about White House's loss Yeah we have Bobcat pride but we also have Blue Devil pride you guys are family for pete's sake! Congrats on a VERY powerful and great year!
  8. You know I am torn over these type posts. On the one hand you want your seniors to know we are behind them and are VERY proud of what they have done for the school. But on the other hand if you don't have confident underclassmen and they read these posts you may be setting them up for a downfall because we know how mental state plays in sports. One thing that happens when you play the same players on offense and defense is when they do leave you are killing both sides of your game for the next year. No No No I am NOT saying it is wrong. I stand behind the coaches no matter what they choose to do, it's their job not mine. I am just putting my nickles worth in. I'm not worried about quite a few of Greenbrier's future players, my son included. I KNOW they will put forth a great battle and will not worry about what anyone thinks, that's how a confident person is. But I am worried over some of them and to them I say: YOU can do just as much damage as the other fighter, just put your heart, spirit and mind to it! Go Greenbrier beat Kingsbury!
  9. You are certainly entitled to your own opinions whether they are positive or negative. However, have you thought that disciplined players feed off of negative and turn it into power? IF they listen to their coach he will tell them to use all energy on the field and not with their mouth. So in a way I appreciate your thoughts! As far as fans, we need to watch what we say because it does make the community look bad and look like our guys cannot get the job done. I am looking forward to this game because I know it will be a good one! I am ready to have a sore throat from all the screaming - KNOWING it will be a tight game. GO GREENBRIER!
  10. Good post! Best way to handle negative is with a positive, so there you go!
  11. thumb TALK ABOUT A TENNESSEE VOLUNTEER-WAY TO BE THERE FOR US! Be safe!
  12. I am truly sorry to hear such horrible news. May God be with and bless everyone involved from family to students!

    Next Year

You know what I ALWAYS like to see? Teams where fans say "Our team will not be any good after these Seniors are gone."...and then they do good...And then in a couple years the same thing is said, "Our team will not be any good after these Seniors are gone." And so on and so on and so on... Get my drift? We should support the teams whether they are "doing good" or not is the way I see it...Let them mature and they will be fine... thumb
  14. My supervisor would me out of her office if I even thought of something like that!
  15. I hear tell it is no fun being hit by Clint Russell or Kyle Gainous from Greenbrier!
  16. Let's see, I told my supervisor I needed to leave at at least 1:00 for a 7:30 start... Wonder if I could leave at 10:00 for a 7:00? LOL Hey, I will try anything to get out of work early on Fridays!! GO GREENBRIER!
  17. I am pretty sure that Greenbrier will bring everything they have, as far as I know they never underestimate their opponent. Just because they win the previous game never means they will win the next. To whomever fills in for Jacob, take some pointers if he offers, never hurts to have them, especially from someone who has been playing with the team all year... Good Luck and Safety to both teams! GO GREENBRIER BOBCATS thumb
  18. Praying as I write! May God be with this family...
  19. Proud of our neighbors - Keep up the great work!! thumb
  20. Another one of those where I will probably be labeled as a bias Mom but I think Greenbrier has a few! Of course I like to watch my son and I think he has talent but I also think #41 Brad Martin will be hard to handle by his Senior yr...He has talent as well and when this position is his sole responsibility, he will not disappoint...I think the rest of the guys will step up when it is their year...This all once again falls back to the great coaching in Greenbrier and our guys being patient knowing their time will come...
  21. I KNOW it is obvious by my screen name who I am BUT I want to say I am the VERY PROUD mother of #4 Tyler Lynch! Why am I so proud? Because after the game within seconds of kissing me this question followed: "Can I go to the hospital and check on Jacob?" followed with "I promise I will try my best to be home by curfew!" He was very polite to the people that were telling him good game, way to keep it going BUT his concern was his team mate! Those of you who do not "really" know this guy are missing out on so much...Yeah I am probably a little bias but he is one good guy... YES this post is mainly for him but I wanted him to have something a little special! As for him going out and taking Jacob's place. He was fine, I thought I was going to vomit, LOL...I have faith in him and his game BUT this was an important game and MY GOODNESS Marshall showed up and played good ball, so I was a little concered with Tyler's nerves but like Brad Martin told me after the game "Ty was fine, he wasn't nervous." And then Tyler told me the same after he came home. He said "Mama, Coach had me prepared, I am always ready, why do you think I practice?" So there you go, that was it in a nutshell, he was fine and like I said I wanted to vomit the first 2 snaps! I do also want to thank the guys for keeping Tyler pumped up in the huddle. I know it was hard to have him take over but once again "THIS TEAM" knew what was needed for the WIN and for Tyler to feel comfortable. Hurry and get better Jacob! thumb GO BOBCATS!!!
  22. OMGoodness, that is the funniest thing I have read all day! My jaws hurt!!!!!
