  1. wait wait wait.. They are combining all classes in D2? When did this happen? The teams are in their respected classes for a reason.
  2. Grats to MBA. This is MBA's year in almost every sport. They are getting better in every sport, but those might be seniors . Grats on a good soccer season too for MBA.
  3. I think the coach who loses by 50 should be suspended. Or removed.
  4. This will be the last time for a long time for Ryan to take a stab at State. Good luck to them. Also, if one wins on Wednesday, do they play again Thursday or Friday?
  5. Should be a good game. Since this is Bowman's last year at Ryan, he will go out with a bang (hopefully). Kinda like last year. Good luck to both teams. Im gonna say the winner of the middle's will win the State, but I might be wrong.
  6. If you think teams like the ones you listed dont already have players like Tate, you are blinded by your ignorance.
  7. All I am saying is that Tate is not THE best prospect in the state. Sure is one of them, but its going wayyyyy to far to say that he is the best.
  8. Tate is a good player, Ill give him his due. But when you got guys like Ryan White from Brentwood Academy, Coleman from McCallie, and MBA's quarterback (forgot his name). All have started almost since freshman year, like Tate. They put the same stats as Tate against much, MUCH more difficult teams. If anyone deserves credit, its those guys. Look past your own fanboyism.
  9. Your a Pope fan. B.J. Coleman out of McCallie is a far better athlete. He puts up stats like Tate and one more thing Tate cant seem to do against MBA: SCORE.
  10. Yea, and he proved that in the MBA-JP2 game did he not? I believed JP2 didnt score til MBA put their JV in. Or maybe thats just me.
  11. All great teams, but MBA-type teams would be the level of competition Tate would go against. With his small stature, he wouldn't fare well if he went against big school boys.
  12. Agreed. Let him play some 5A teams weekly, or D2-AAA teams weekly. His stats would be good, but not as good as they are now. After seeing how he did this year vs. MBA, he might be just a good tailback and thats it.
  13. To say Golden Tate is going to Notre Dame is a longgg stretch. Now showing him much love? Hmm, I wonder why... Take a hint! Florida (I am a big UF fan) isn't turning an eye for him. The schools that want him are the ones that arent acadenically hard to get into, and have very good football programs: UT, Auburn. I think GT is a good guy, and he'll do great whever he goes, I wish the best for him. Let's just hope the college he goes to doesn't look at his Myspace oh and popefan, Evidently I didnt play Golden last year, but I played him in 8th grade and my team killed him, sooo, as they say..... K THX BYE
  14. Touche'! but.... I've never lost to him in a football game. And Ive played him 3 times. darn good player nonetheless. Might end up at Knox. or Auburn. Dont see him going north of the Dixie-Mason line, though.
  15. Well, it looks like no one is in a rush to get it, so it might take 5 years, might take more. We have a makeshift stadium that gives a good view of the school. Not a good place to sit, but definitely a great place for a ball game. We have a few stands here and there, and the field is pretty wide itself. I'm more with this 'field' than a stadium, although a stadium would be nice.
  16. lol I love post about FR.... They always lead to the stadium issue or a 'why Pope is better than yal' war : (
  17. People take their stadiums for granted. If FRHS had a stadium, it would really reinstill some pride in the program that has been lost over the years.
  18. If you look at where most of the FRHS students have gone for the last 5 years, then Ole Dad is true. FR students are kicking serious A and getting into good colleges. Of course anyone ignorant of this, or ones who hate FR in particular, would prove otherwise.
  19. He will be back, he is a senior. Hes a great player, and has been underestimated by many people. He will lead the team to victories.
  20. Hey, how about instead of starting a new thread you look at the 100 other 'How will FRHS team be next year?' Its not good to bring attention to our school when you have bitter old men who remember when FRHS dominated in football, and spoiled their(the old men, not Ole Dad however) dreams of a football championship. If you wanna know how we will be, you are invited to see the Purple/White scrimmage during spring practice on May 13. Although the team will be split up, and you will not see the starting 11, possibly. I think anyone who goes to that game will be pleasently suprised. This is the year that many people have been waiting for.
  21. We could all see it coming. We all knew that when Pope opened, it would put Ryan in a deep slump in attempting to get athletes. heck, Golden Tate was supposed to go to Ryan! Think if Pope had opened last year. Then Tate, Sneed, and all of the other people associated to Ryan would have been there. 'The young perish and the old linger' - Theoden. To me, this statement doesnt mean anyone dies, but I think that it shows this old school of FRHS is just lingering while Pope gets better and better. Against the power that has risen in the east, there will be limited victories. Pope has quickly gained in ability with most of our athletic teams (save wrestling and guys soccer). I myself almost went to Pope, but my brothers persuaded me otherwise. Best choice. Ill give Pope their due credit. They are definitely equal to us in all sports. But I mean come on, we all saw it coming. But they will suffer the same fate of us. Their days will come, and theirs days will end. So is the cycle of high school sports. Remember that both schools are for Catholic education, and nothing should break that bond in an area that is not to kind to us Catholics. Godspeed to all.
  22. Im just saying that Golden will be Pope's best athlete. But when he and his class retires, its doubtful that Pope will have the athletic talent that comes after. Therefor their strong point will be academics.
  23. Father Ryan will be a better team that last year. I am good friends with Coach Bowman, and many of the players. They are picking up intensity, focus, and determination. THey have signed up for many camps. They want the trophy again, and they will take it IMO. Pope stands little or no chance. The only team in middle TN that can beat us is BGA, but thats a LONGGGG shot. Although FRHS lost many players, many good ones have remained. Most of the players are from Holy Rosary Academy (represent!), so that have been playing together for a long time. It should be fun to watch, but in the end its Father Ryan FTW. FTW = for the win.
  24. Pope will be an academic school when Golden graduates.
