  1. If Ryan can play like they did against MBA and better, I would expect a fantastic game. Homecomings arent the best games for the Irish, but we are looking to turn that around friday night. The victor of this game will only win by 7 or 3 points.
  2. I have seen many games played by these players. I would rather have to go against Tate a whole game than to go against the BA backs for a series. Then again, Pope fans probably havent see BA play, but if you did, you would see why.
  3. Haha, and I suppose you think JP2 could do better? Things are changing in D2-AAA. Father Ryan has become a whole lot better. Does the 14-7 loss to MBA not fathom you? Pope would be humiliated if they played in D2-AAA, maybe you learnt that at your MBA game, when the best chance you had to beat them, you were smothered.
  4. Tate threw up the stats, but that sure didnt help him help his team beat MBA did it?
  5. Nah, if you ever watched BA, they got these 2 guys named Ryan White and Tyreese Ford. They make Golden Tate job look like a joke. They play in much more harder games and succeed. And they have been playing since their freshman years (they are now juniors).
  6. Nothing against the poster, it is just that no attention needs to be brought to us.
  7. Dont forget Byrnes is in the top 25 nation, and beat a top 10 team. Independence (I think?). So far, from what I know, no too many D2-AAA teams have lost to non-D2 teams. FRHS beat Franklin and Centinneal. I think the only team who has lost was McCallie to Alcoa, but I doubt anyone from D2 could really contend with Alc. So yes, we are still one of the best classes in TN.
  8. We would have loved to have Tate! But Pope opened up too early . But I think Tate will be the biggest legend at JP2, so cherish him while you got him. I dont think he can go to ND cause they choose academics over athletics, and from what I hear, Golden is not in all Honor or AP classes, not to take anything away from him. heck, even I'm not. But I could definitely see him on a SEC team. Maybe UTK or SC.
  9. Well right from the get-go, it looked like the Irish were doing well. They shut down Baylor at the first series and did really well their first series. Baylor got the first score, but Ryan answered with a good drive. They made it to the red zone but threw and INT. After that, the confidence of the team was really shot for the rest of the half. But during the second half, we played a much better game. However, we still could not score. If the Irish had limited their mistakes tonight, it would have been a different ball game. Good job to Baylor, they really took advantages of our turnovers.
  10. You are too quick to judge. The Irish shut Tate down the last 2 years. The only problem was that this season's game, we shut down ourselves before we shut down Tate.
  11. UNCfan, you said Baylor should move down to D2-AA! They are one of the best schools in Tennessee, and yes they deserve that spot in the top 25 SI issue. But they need to be at the very top of D2-AAA athletics, all things considered. They are a very powerful school. But Ryan is becoming powerful, thats why I pick them to win.
  12. Oh Texas, Dont be so mean to me. I have never shown bad class or made poor remarks about anything. If I could stop posting I would, but I dont like it when teams talk negatively about us I agree with 1Irish1. There are only 4 teams in D2-AAA who have won the state championship in the class. (Father Ryan, MBA, McCallie, and now MUS). And if we moved to D2-AA we would be totally unfair to the teams we play. heck, we are pretty unfair to the teams we already play in D2-AAA(all sports considered). We wont move down cause we dont deserve to be moved down. Father Ryan made it clear the first year of D2-AAA, We will be the most dominant school(in terms of all sports) in the class. And we sure havent failed that promise. ^ . ^
  13. Ahhhh.... Jealous we got a new fan This is the most potent game for the Irish. Their fate hangs on the edge of the knife. Yet, there is hope if the team remains true. Many will not believe in them, but they believe in each other. I just hope a sense of comradery will return to the team, like the one I saw in my younger years, before people left... :usa: Father Ryan is coming back.... Buckle up.
  14. Golden Tate is harder to stop. He is a great player, a true play maker. But to say he will make it to Notre Dame or any out -of-Tennessee college on football scholarship is a little farfetched. I can definitely see this kid at UT Knox, but thats his limit. But he if does go there, UT will be good again
  15. Yes I am a student and most of Ryan knows who I am. Nice to meet you, Ole Dad. Thanks for supporting the Irish, they are a great investment right now! Also check out our other sports, basketball, soccer, baseball. They are all very exciting and Ryan loves it sports.
  16. 9 turnovers that did not come out of Lussiers hands, so dont attack our coach, 'greg'
  17. Wow, why do you gotta come here and trash us? Do we go to Pope threads and trash them? Way to show your class, chief.
  18. Father Ryan knows what they need to win this game. They dont commit many turnovers at the FRHS field (only 1 fumble in 3 games played at Ryan). Baylor might come tired, cause thats a 4 hour trip from Chattanooga. The Irish will hit hard and hit hard early with some key players who have been relatively quiet this year... The Irish know a lot about Baylor thanks to a little source
  19. Ryan has the advantage of the home field. They got high spirits and are ready for the win. I take the Irish by 2 TDs.
  20. It aint easy playing away games every year. But we are used to it, we've been playing for almost 80 years without a home stadium. And yes, it stinks traveling. Lets say we had to travel to Memphis. The team leaves at about noon on Friday. they go to a buffet and eat ( a lot). By the time they get to the school, they are very tired and dont have a lot of energy. Thats what hurts us. Traveling around Nashville isnt bad, but yes, we do need more home games. We really need a stadium. You have probably heard we are getting one, but we have been saying that since we got the campus on Norwood. Someday, one day, we will have a stadium. Baylor 6:00 @ Father Ryan. Expect to stand, there wont be many seats.
  21. Father Ryan 28 BGA 7 An awesome game for the Irish. Hausman had 192 yards rushing with 3 touchdowns (i think?). Hausman has proved himself over the years and is one of the best running backs in the state. 2 touchdowns in 1 minute by Hausman alone. Dont tell me that is not good. I know Hausman has competitors like Andy Snyder, Golden Tate, and Henry Harris. But if I had to choose between those 4, I would take Hausman. Not because I am only a Irish fan, but Hausman is a leader, a great athlete, and a great player. I cant ask of anything more. I also gotta give credit to Josh Hayes and Ryan Berry. They played well against a good varsity defense, considering they are only sophmores. But it all deserves to go the guys up front. Our offensive and defensive line is very good, one of the best in Middle Tennessee. When you got a combination of our line and Hausman, your in good shape. A good win for the Irish. Now we gotta get ready for a home game against Baylor. We got 3 wins, its been 4 years since that last happened...
  22. He is a good coach. He was a better pick than Pittman. He has 100% confidence and never gets down after a game. Best of all, he knows football. A lot of it too. He is a nice guy and understanding (trust me, I would know) Once he gets to know his players and the school better, he will be a big part of the Father Ryan family
  23. True. But by the looks of the talent and the competition Ryan is bringing back, it is only a matter of time, and we have plenty of it. I think this game is a cornerstone in the rebuilding process at Ryan. To play MBA (one of the best teams in middle Tennessee), and stay with them the whole game and to almost clinch a victory shows that there has been A LOT of improvement in the football program. You cant call Ryan players 'Thugs', they are playing with a lot of intesity, a lot of competition, and a lot of determination. Ryan players are physical players, and they have no problem getting in other team's faces, they want revenge, and they will get it either way they can. A lot of players stepped up Friday night. I think all of the seniors are contributing 100% and it shows, now that Ryan is without a doubt a very very good team with much talent. In my eyes, a 14-7 loss is better than a 36-6 loss. MBA might have played the better game, but Ryan is still finding its strengths and weaknesses. At this time next year, Ryan will be one of the best teams in D2-AAA. We work harder than we have before, we play with more competition and we play with hope. If we had given the chance to start this season over, we would be 6-0. The Irish players have learned quick and we play a very good ball game. Good game MBA, more games like these and the FRHS-MBA football games will the rave once again in Tennessee. We learned a lot from this game, and you guys might have also. Good luck against BA, thats your biggest test. And as for Ryan, one week at a time. We can definitely win the rest of the games on our scheduele. /wave @ # 57, 41
  24. That hasnt happened in a long time. Now we just take out our anger on the court, or the mat, the field, basically any sport we MBA in. Students at Ryan have never known that MBA used to be vandalized. And most of time, it wasnt Ryan people at all, you can buy purple paint from most hardware stores.Besides, the cannon looks better purple anyway.
