Dusevic vs Croy-Brentwood in finals. Will update after finals. FNL
  2. Cant wait for tomorrow night, Youthcoach16 just confirmed our mat side seats tomorrow. night. Looks to be a close match according to my calculations, be we will see...
  3. Congrats Tee on an outstanding career. Tee is not only an outstanding wrestler, be an even better young man. He will be successful in anything he does beyond wrestling. Now lets bring home that State Championship to EFT!
  4. yes, you are right. EFT lost a close one tonight 33-32, despite 3 forfeits. The Irish did wrestle better than they did last night against Cleveland, Just not enough at the end. BCB will chime in on this match later.
  5. I will tell him. He is working hard and is happy to help the team when and whatever weight they need him in the lineup. Cleveland has a tough team and will be tough not only this year, but years to come. I love the way Coach Eslinger coaches his boys. FNL
  6. The final score was Cleveland 48-Notre Dame 10. The Irish looked as if they were still on Christmas Break. No doubt, Cleveland has a fine Wrestling team, but the Irish looked very sluggish tonight. I will let BCB or Harry go into the analysis of this match, but the best match of the night to me was the Alvarado/Mullin match at 103 with Alvarado winning 2-0. Hope the Irish can rebound tomorrow against Walker Valley. FNL
  7. wow, if thats true, that will make the A/AA dual state tourny a bit more interesting? What have you heard Bearcatbrown? /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  8. wow, reading this makes me want some turkey. Your right, Maxwell will do well at 103, he was doing good at 112.
  9. congrats to JT, sounds like he had a great tourny. good luck to him the rest of the year. FNL
  10. First of all BCB, I really enjoyed the post match meeting on Friday night and finally getting to meet the infamous Harry Thornton. I will have to start attending the pre-match meetings in the near future to discuss the matchups. Now, for the O.W of the week, I thought the Bond kid from Hoover had a great tourny. The obvious choice could be Jake Young, but I dont feel like he was really challenged. My Pick Bond(Hoover) also heard a certain rassler from a blue team across the river had a nice tourny at the ebe invite. (he sure would have looked good in GREEN this winter. as always the captian of EFT had his usual good tourny, although he gave me a scare their for a minute. 11. Notre Dame had a pretty good showing finishing second to Baylor. Some individual placers that I know are as followed... 103 Grayson Mullin ND 1st 112 Zach Watson Baylor 1st Jack Boone ND 3rd 119 Nick Millard ND 5th 125 Tee Boone ND 1st 152 Dillon Heath ND 3rd 189 Brenden Ducevic ND 1st 215 Eric Phipps ND 2nd Congrats to ND for a good tournament Im sure BCB will chime in and give a complete recap of this tournament with all the weight classes and placers.
  12. Really? Care to explain....Never had any problems with him growing up.
  13. Who will take over for Polk at RB next year. Would there be any chance the Freshman Johnathan Parker (JP) could get playing time, maybe start next year. I coached him growing up and know how good he is. I think he had a pretty successfull season this year as a freshman. Anyone have any thoughts?
  14. I was at the Central vs Notre Dame game at Finley Stadium and they made an anouncement on the PA that said the according to a new TSSAA rule, the game clock will be kept on the field and not the scoreboard. Is this correct? If so, I think it is a stupid rule and makes the game hard for the fans and I would assume players too on keeping up with how much time is left in the game. Does anyone have any intake on this?
  15. Revis did not block smith very well either. at one time it took revis and his tight end to block smith and smith still pushed both back into the qb. It will be very hard for anyone to block smith this year. He may very well be the best player right now, junior or senior in the state. If it was me, I might look at playing him at a linebacker spot or rover and tell him to just go get the ball. Boyd Buchannon...looked very good, nice passing attack, very quick defense. Baylor...looked very average for a private school team. Still a couple of years away, very good freshman class in there right now. Soddy Daisy...very average 5a school. not alot of team speed, will struggle in 5a this season. East Ridge...Has a good shot at making some noise in 3a. Gunner is a load at tb and lb., Team will surprise alot. Notre Dame...alot of mistakes, very young looking team, Offensive line better step up or they will have no backfield by the end of the year. Walker valley...very athletic looking team, could contend for a playoff spot in 4a this year. Rhea Co....very big ol and dl, but slow. they should have a good year though, most definatly will be a playoff team in 4a Ooltewah...speed, speed, and more speed. RB, wr, and defense are very fast. J. Smith is a man among boys out there. Get the ball in Seamsters hands as much as they can. Reed is a very sporatic qb, but has potential to be very good. When he steps into the ball, he can throw it as well as anybody around. Brainerd...Graduation killed them. they will struggle this year. McCallie...typical McCallie team. No mistakes and beat you at the end. Qb is very athletic and does some nice things. Skogen if very good(man, how many of them are they) Fullam is a good looking athlete. will compete this year, and still beat Baylor again.
  16. Any scrimmages this weekend. Post who is playing, where at, and what time......
  17. Just wanted to get anyones opinion on this kid. I think he could be the top junior in Chattanooga, Maybe in the whole state. What do you think?
  18. how could you leave out Jacquez Smith from Ooltewah. he is probably the top junior not only in chattanooga, but could be in the state.
  19. does Ooltewah start two a days on Monday. If so, does anyone know what time they practice.
  20. Bradley, Chico is not my son and I have not said that Chico would be the 103 lber for ND. I said that Mullin, White, and Boone would be three outstanding freshman wrestlers for EFT and that they would help them COMPETE for state dual titles for the next several years. I stated that Mullin and White have been pretty even this summer and when it comes to tournaments, that it might be a weekly challenge type match to determine who would wrestle that weekend. Heck, their's a good shot White wont even make 103. I also said that I could see mullin at 103, white at 112, and Boone at 119, Duck at 125, and T Boone at 130 in Dual Matches. Im not the coach nor have any kids on the ND squad so I have no say so or really dont care how they line up. Im just interested in seeing the whole team do well no matter who is wrestling in what weight class or not. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  21. I agree with you BCB. EFT will be there in the end!
  22. For starters, No I am not his dad, just a fan of the Notre Dame Wrestling Program. Also, What Bold Predictions have I made in my post. I never predicted that Mullin, White, or Boone would win anything. I only stated that that they were three outstanding young wrestlers that would help Notre Dame COMPETE for state titles the next several years. I dont see any bold predictions in that. I also stated that any positions these three would get, they would have to EARN! What I said about who I thought would be their starters at 103,112,119 is simply my thoughts, which means nothing, as I am not the coach. Just like in all wrestling programs, the starting spots have to be earned. Now, to answer your question of where is white from, He wrestled for Hunter Middle School last year and wanted to attend Notre Dame this year not only for their strong wrestling tradition, but also for the academics. Im not saying white, Boone, or Mullin will ever win a state title, but they have a good chance to compete for dual titles as well as individual titles. Now, you sound like you are just trying to start some trouble on here. I think you don't need to worry about Notre Dame too much. You my friend better start worrying about Cleveland. They could be chomping on your heels.
  23. Grayson is a very good wrestler, no doubt. Chico White and Grayson Mullin have been pretty even this summer in workouts together. Each have had their good days and bad. Whomever EARNS that spot will be a tough one to handle. I was just stating that for Notre Dames Dual team, I think their best lineup would be Grayson at 103, Chico at 112, and Jack Boone at 119. Now when it comes to tournaments I think Jack Boone could wrestle 112 and Chico 103. The 103 pound weight class could be a weekly challenge type match between the two to see who would wrestle that weekend. All in all, they are three outstanding freshman that should help Notre Dame challenge for state titles for the next 3-4 years. Also, dont forget about Johnathan Taylor(transfer from Red Bank). He will make some noise this year when he becomes eligable for the state duals.
