  1. Will everyone be pulling for the winner of this game to bring home the gold ball? I feel like the respect that these two towns have for each other would lead me to believe "yes".
  2. and it is just Wednesday!!! Gotta love this time of year!!!!!
  3. I believe that most people are expecting a good game. The last game was decided by only four points. I look for something similiar this Friday. Talk about a tough region. The top three teams were seperated by a total of 10 points Milan-Westview 4 pts. Westview-Huntingdon 3 pts. Huntingdon-Milan 3 pts. This game could be as interesting as any of the semi-fianl games and possibly the finals.
  4. i must pick the two west tennessee teams huntingdon and melrose. my picks are like this 1a dca 2a huntingdon 3a fulton 4a melrose 5a riverdale less than 31 hours until we start to find out.

  8. In 5A it was Jeff Cottam, Germantown -lineman and Dave Thomas, Riverdale-back
  9. In 4A it was Gregory Hardy, Melrose-lineman and Cade Thompson, Maryville -back
  10. Missed the 3A lineman but the back was Roger Herndon, Greenbrier in 2A it was Desmond Hendricks, Tyner Academy- lineman and Patrick Turner, Goodpasture back
  11. Mark Thompson, Donelson Christian Academy Matt Peardon, Boyd Buchanan In 1A
  12. Just wanting to see if anyone has heard from the Mr. Football Awards ceremony
  13. your obligated to say that. And I respect that
  14. Chris Donald from Huntingdon. Last year as a freshman he had somewhere over 200 yards against a very good Milan team in the Semi-Finals.
  15. Let me say this first........... I want USJ to win it all. But, they have a tough task before them. I do feel as though they can beat DCA this Friday night. The difference that will win the game will be playing on their own home field. But to whoever wins, good luck in the finals (probably against Boyd, they seem tough).
  16. Being from West Tennessee, it will take a good team to knock off either Huntingdon or Milan. It seems like Alcoa is loaded. But until someone knocks them off the mountain, Huntingdon is still the champions of AA. Good luck to all four teams.
  17. Does it get any better than this.................... eat turkey all day and sleep while watching football. Wake up and talk more football eat more turkey and go to bed. Get up Friday morning and eat turkey for breakfast and lunch. By now you are sick of turkey and head to a Semi-Final game and eat a "low carb" burger. That's what I'll do tomorrow, then head to the Milan vs. Huntingdon game. The sad part is that hight school football is coming to a close. Thankful fors lots of things too. Happy Turkey Day all
  18. Beinf from West Tennessee (obviously), I would love to say Huntiongdon. Althought they do have a chance to repeat, they don't have the best. I'd have to say Boyd has the best chance down in 1A.
  19. Wanted to get some input here. I think that there are at least four of the five still in the hunt.
  20. "the Jackson Sun even printed on Friday before the game was played that Fairview would be at H'tingdon this week playing instead of us..." This is a true statement, but misunderstood. As far as this statement. What the Jackson Sun was doing was saying "if", and they stressed that, the higher seed won, these would be the matchups. People have more respect for Camden than you might think. The buzz is, this is new to have this type of respect. Good luck to both teams. I still cannot decide, between the JCS @ USJ or this game here, on what game to watch Friday night.
  21. I am neutral on this game. The first one was a classic. It seems as thought JCS has the one factor that is needed this time of year.....hunger. I know USJ has hunger too, but I feel as though JCS is ready. I don't know what to do about Friday night football this Friday night. I go to diferent games this week. This week I want to see this rematch, but I would also like to see the Huntingdon Camden rematch. Milan will have a good game, but too far to drive. All I can say is....... I love this time of year. Good luck to both teams. If I come, I'm looking for a good-un. Will this be replayed on television? That might help me decide what to do.
  22. Let me first say this. I did not go to the first meeting between these two great teams. It sound like Huntingdon was pretty calm during the first meeting and had the attitude "this is just another game" (not making little of it, just the "one game at a time"). On the other hand, Camden may have been looking to that game as a measuring stick. Did Camden have that "must win" attitude the first time? I'm sure that Huntingdon did not (they've been in the big games before). Does anyone think that Huntingdon will pick up the intensity knowing that they are two games from defending their title and that this is a "must win"? If so, will that play into the outcome of the game? Also, is Camden hoping to win, or expecting to win? Like I said before, I was not at the first meeting, but I will be at this one. It doesn't matter to me who wins, I just want to see some hard hitting and a good ballgame. Good luck to both teams.
  23. I love High School football. While looking at the bracket for 4A, I noticed two teams undefeated playing in the 2nd round. Then I noticed Stratford is a #2 seed. Am I missing something here? How is thast possible. I hope this doesn't cause a stir.
  24. Ok, this is the directions that someone from Milan gave me to get to the game Friday. "From I-40, take Exit 80 B. From 45 Bypass, go north until you get to the intersection of HWY 45 & HWY 70. Mitchell football field will be located off to the right (behind the Chow Wagon)."
