Yes it is pretty sad and I did ask Coach Julian myself today and it is definetely a misprint....the October 27 game labeled as Sullivan North is for sure South Doyle....And I agree, i don't think Powell has Halls' number in every sport....Powell won 3 and Halls won 2 in basketball, I think the teams split in baseball, and they are back and forth almost every year in football....doesn't really seem like any team has the others number in any of the sports in the Halls Powell rivalry As always....Go Big Red!

On the fundraising cards the team sells the schedule is as follows: 8/25-----Sevier County-------Away 9/1------Central----------------Home 9/8------Gibbs------------------Home 9/15-----West------------------Away 9/21-----Karns-----------------Away(I guess a Thurs. night game?) 9/29-----Clinton----------------Home 10/6-----Powell-----------------Away 10/13----Lenoir City-----------Away 10/20----Maryville-------------Home 10/27----Sullivan North--------Home Could be wrong but i dont know---Probably should be SD I see Maryville & Central are loses Powell vs. Halls-Anything can happen-Doesn't matter who is better West & Karns are toss ups Clinton, Lenoir City, Gibbs, and (SD? We Think) should all be wins Dont know enough about Sevier County too say With the schedule i see 7-3 at the very very very best and 4-6 or 3-7 at worst....6-4 if we win a game or two we maybe shouldnt and 5-5 might be about right. If you'll remember Halls lost last year to Webb 28-0 in one quarter and then went 7-3 on the season....granted we are just a little bit less experienced this year to say the least but lets give them the benefit of the doubt until we see them in 4 quarters....also, besides Maryville, Webb looks like they could beat just about anyone else on our schedule....remember we still play Clinton, Gibbs, SD, Karns, and Lenoir City and unless those teams have much improved from last year then we have a shot to beat all of them....Also i see a game on senior night with Sullivan North....anybody know about them?....but i think dont panic on the Red Devils just yet...and as always....Go Big Red!

How did Powell look....didnt catch that.....and good way to put it....its basically a knoxville middle and high school social and thats fine but as you said....more seats should have been opened like previous years....and did O'Kicker win at halftime?

Just to echo what everyone else is saying.....and most everyone is right....Defense of course will have to grow up fast after losing all 11 to graduation......O'Connor is of course solid but hopefully he wont have to be used to much and wont be our only offense like Ian was his senior year.....Cooper is a good talent.....Coop and Dayton will have to hook up for more than a couple of big plays this year to keep our offense moving....another reciever has to step up, if not, good smart teams will just double and triple team Datyon and he will be taken out of the game....and Dayton cant control how often he goes over the middle because he just runs the routes assigned to him....but main concerns will probably be defense, o-line, and running game....Student section will be good for devils and i will always be a part of it! Heres how i see it: 1. Maryville-Nuff Said 2. Central or Powell 3. Central or Powell 4. HALLS 5. West-Close call and probably causing problems for top 3 teams and might get in As Always....Go Big Red!!!

First question.....Why is everyone saying Cameron takes all the credit for everything? Have i missed something? Maybe people or newspapers or whoever are giving him all the credit but how is it Cams fault for what people write or say about him. Saying he takes all the credit is almost like saying he is selfish and he is not selfish becasue is averaging 9.5 assists a game over the last 4 games. Second question......You say all the kids at Halls trash talk? If you have ever played against or watched Powell play you know Hargis and Lee are two of the biggest trash talkers in Knox County, I am not saying anything is wrong with that because I love both of those kids.......I had friendly conversations with both of them after the game......but they trash talk a ton. Thats part of their game and thats fine but your talking about trash talkers and you have two of the biggest ones on your team. Anybody know a score of the Fulton vs. Powell game tonight?

Wasnt Wiley going to go to Wake Forest but didnt because of grades or some other issue? I heard about him when he was at Fulton and saw him play in a small leauge and I am pretty sure talent wise he was a lot better than Roane State.

Depth is an issue for Halls but from what I heard from a friend who was at the game is Oak Ridge only played 6 players against Clinton Sat. night so it sounds like depth is an issue for both teams.

Good post Mocs30. You and your boys and the rest of the coaching staff im sure have respect for us just as our players and coaches have much respect for you all. The Halls and Powell game should be a very very good game but as someone said earlier, the first game between us isnt until mid January. Both teams have alot of games and alot of big district games at that between now and then. Everyone knows how big the rivalry is between Halls and Powell but im sure the players and coaches from both sides will not be worrying about that game until then. When did Minor transfer and when will he be eligable?

Cameron had 28 points but most of the game Hollingsworth was guarding him.

Both teams are young. Halls started 4 juniors and a sophmore against Fulton.

Anybody know a final score fom this game?

Halls beat Jeff. County last night 82-62 at Jeff. County. Halls was up 30 points at half and the Jeff. County coach ask us if we wanted a halftime and we said whatever. It was one of the first times I can remember playing a game without a halftime. Halls plays Sevier County tonight at Halls girls, game staring at 6 and boys to follow at around 7:30.

Halls and Farragut scrimmaged last Thursday and they kept score each quarter and I think Halls won every quarter but 1. Saturday morning at 10 at Halls High, Halls, Webb, and Maryville will all be playing.

West is in the district now Bigcatt and they should be pretty good. They have Pearl, Latiff(the big kid I dont know his last name) and McGrew(points guard I think his first name is Ryan). Oak Ridge is very good but I think they can be beaten. Oak Ridge, Powell, Clinton, and Halls IMO will all battle it out for the top 4 spots and West and Central might have a say in there too. This is a very good district this year with no "bad" teams in it. And for Hargis, I played with him alot this summer on a traveling team and I think someone already said it and I agree with it: he is one of those kids you love him when you play with him, but you hate him when you play against him. Heck I even love the kid before and after the game it's just during the game when he tries to get in your head and all that he does, but he is a competitor and if that works for him during the game, then why not do it.

I think Maryville will win pretty easily. Interesting match-up with the sophmore Douglas at TE and Smith and Galyon(i think thats who it is) at DE. That may cause trouble but Maryville still wins. GQ will have my boy Brent Burnette and Hunt ready to play and of course you dont have to say anything about the Maryville running game. Good luck to both teams. Go Big Red! Maryville-34 Powell-10

How do you get a one point win in overtime...just wondering. I dont know much about Red Bank but I think Halls will pull it out because of the heart. This senior led team wants one more shot at Central and I think they will play especially hard to do that. BTW nice offensive showing at SD and I didnt go but I understand there were 2 special teams touchdowns for SD and a muffed punt that they either they scored on or got good feild posistion on, so the defense must have played good as always. Also, I heard it looked like Halls tried to "call the dogs off" but the 2's, 3's, and 4's scored on them too. I sat down on the Halls side because there was a lot of empty bleacher there and I didn't want to miss any of the game looking for a seat. On one play the QB threw the ball into the back of one of his receivers and the entire student section erupted in laughter. It was funny, but I couldn't believe how long they laughed at their own team... I was in the student section and I do not remember laughing at all. Even if all of us did laugh at the same there is no way it could have been an eruption.....We only had about 5 people in the student section due to 2 large church trips. Also, thanks rebelman.
