I have to admit, I got a little excited when Wooddale spanked East in spite having 150 yards in penalties. However, I agree with TraderB that the jury is still out on just how good Wooddale really is. Their victories have been impressive but Hillcrest is not very good and I currently do n't know what to say about East.
In a few weeks, all these questions will be answered.
Wooddale, like Melrose has to get a handle on the penalty situation.
In regards to my beloved Golden Wildcats, last years passing game was rather pedestrian to put it mildly. Cooper was so good that he single handedly put the pop in the offense.
Passing numbers put up this year are showing great potential. Toney, the soph. QB, is the real deal. I think we have only seen the tip of the iceberg.
Looking at the numbers, the defense has been better than most against good competition. I think they are being overshadowed by the stellar play of the previous two year's defenses.
