  1. tnsddeveloper, Is that still the case when a student moves into the new school district?
  2. I read that he wants to enroll in Miami next semester. OMN, do you know if that is still the plan?
  3. I can understand that. Although his playing time had diminished, he remained a class act and is a talented kid. I wish Corrtney the best as long as it's not against Melrose
  4. I am sure the that the t's are crossed and I's dotted concerning this move.
  5. Melrose58, I can understand that. Let all the guys know that we are screaming Golden Wildcats all the way from Texas!! Handle your business.
  6. I wish good luck to Courtney also. Under TSSAA rules, does anyone know when he is eligible to play?
  7. Wow Melrose58, I was hoping that something would work out with Courtney at Melrose. Well....Life goes on. Beat Christian Brothers!!!!
  8. Last year CBHS loaded up the box to stop Cooper and dared the pass. They surely can't play that way this year.
  9. It would not be wise for me to say that we (Melrose) won't have some self inflicted wounds. However, I am going with Melrose to win by 3 or more.
  10. TraderB, I am at a loss for words on the penalty situation. At this point, all I know to do is "keep hope alive" that this can be addressed before playoffs start. The talent on this team is exceptional and it would be a shame to squander an opportunity to reach potential.
  11. Congatulations Father Ryan. This is a great comeback story in the making.
  12. Wow, that's tough. A bad sinus infection is a monster, especially for something as physically demanding on the respiratory system as football. I hope he gets well soon. There is a lot of football to be played.
  13. Wow, How the mighty have fallen. East really has gone in another direction. I am really concerned with Merose not reducing the penalties. This has to be improved at CBHS.
  14. What happened with the Whitehaven starting QB?
  15. With Christiian Brothers coming off it's first loss of the season to much improved Father Ryan and Melrose defeating fast sinking Memphis East, what is your weigh in on this one?
  16. The new Melrose Head Coach (Alexander) coached Michael Irvin at Miami and with the Cowboys.
  17. Your thread got me to thinking back. When Riverside closed years ago, what school absorbed that neighborhood?
  18. This is great!! Like sitting in the Barber Shop kicking around Memphis Football. I have to admit, I got a little excited when Wooddale spanked East in spite having 150 yards in penalties. However, I agree with TraderB that the jury is still out on just how good Wooddale really is. Their victories have been impressive but Hillcrest is not very good and I currently do n't know what to say about East. In a few weeks, all these questions will be answered. Wooddale, like Melrose has to get a handle on the penalty situation. In regards to my beloved Golden Wildcats, last years passing game was rather pedestrian to put it mildly. Cooper was so good that he single handedly put the pop in the offense. Passing numbers put up this year are showing great potential. Toney, the soph. QB, is the real deal. I think we have only seen the tip of the iceberg. Looking at the numbers, the defense has been better than most against good competition. I think they are being overshadowed by the stellar play of the previous two year's defenses.
  19. Thanksbg3. I meant Wooddale by at least 21. My fingers must have been thinking 15 years ago!
  20. Wooddale sounds like they are the real deal. Hamilton used to be a football powerhouse many years ago but recently has not reached potential and fallen on hard times. That region is brutal and I don't see them keeping this one close. Unfortunately for Hamilton, this is not basketball. I agree, Wooddale by at least 21
  21. I know that Father Ryan is turning over a new leaf this season and started with a first game victory, but I see CBHS winning this one by at least 7.
