This coming from a now alum...lol i havent got a chance to see how LV is doing this year but i have talked to a bunch of the players. you know polk is gonna roll in 50-60 deep. the one thing that has haunted lv in the past is getting tired because of lack of players so that may come into affect near the end of the scrimmage. They were good last year but they lost starters up front, plus their allstar fullback kevin hamby. So its a toss-up. as for midway....i think yall should do well against them. i dont like to go off last year stats but they did lose to silverdale and we beat them by 40 or so. either way, let me know how it goes...

I think SP will most likely come out with the championship but DONT count out LV just because we lost 3 seniors (#22 Goins FB/LB, #74 Brewer OL/DE, #12 Lucas WR/DB). Yeah they played a major role, but we've got some new players along with an upcoming weight program that everyone is in. They will be stronger and better next year. Chas Scruggs had a great season last year, rushing over a 1,000 yrds. You think he is going to do worse his Junior and Senior years?! Nah, dont think so. The line is getting better and the coaching staff is working with almost everyone they did last year. The program is coming around. Last year is was just the start. I'm not surprised everyone is not looking at LV again, because that happens every year whether the year before was good or not.

Are you kidding me? I've never even heard of any of these players. Did they hide the ballots from the South Pitt, Trousdale, LV, Gordonsville, Friendship coaches? I mean im not saying i should have been all-state but i know plenty of names that should be on there. how can you be Mr. Football and not be an All-State player?..lol. Thats ridiculous and everyone knows it. when does tssaa post their all-state team? For the record: Trousdale- 1A champs- no all-state players LV- two 1,000 rushers (only team in city)- no all-state players McKenzie- mr. football winner-no all-state players South Pitt- 2 mr. football finalists- no all-state players Come'on.......quit playin'.....

I was wandering where I could find the all-region selections in 3-1A? Do they release all the all-region players on a website or do they just tell the coaches? If anyone knows please reply....

The person saying the only CB's to "contain" Seth Skogen was the CB's from Trousdale. i thought it was funny that he didnt have to good of a game against us, but our CB's must have been no match....lol

thats funny, i thought he only had 2 maybe 3 grabs all game when we played ya'll. i mean hey, thats part of the reason why we won. props to our CB Adam Lucas....aka Prime Time..lol

i agree, all three have great athletic ability and a great worth ethic. i think it showed in their stats. good job this year...

We actually lost 4 out of 5 starters from last year. We lost our shooting guard (Hawkins), 1 post (D. Winchester), a wing (Josh Hill), and our point guard (Dewayne McGee). The only starter we have coming back is our 6'5 215lb post, Brian Brewer. But we do have a couple people who came off the bench a lot also returning. Adam Lucas, played wide reciever, 6'2 forward...and Anthony Bentley, a 6'0 guard. So, we're having to fill some positions....

Since football is over, now its time to move on to basketball for the Jackets. How do you think they'll be this year. Will the same mentality from football carry over to help the LV to a winning season?

i think the fullback from Whitwell, #21, not sure what his name is, but he is really good and possibly an All-State select.

Lol, i appreciate it but doubtful. there is too much more talent out there. but i will say, seeing my name come up in the "mr. football" topic is compliment enough. personally, i would like to see what Anthony Hathaway from boyd would be doing right now. man, that stinks. i do think the runningback from Alcoa is really good and probably has a really big shot at getting it. did he sign with tennessee?

We scrimmaged seq. co. and i wasnt really impressed since i looked at them as one of the bigger better programs but in the jamboree they really came to play. i think seq. co. won't have a problem with whitwell. whitwell has descent size but they seem kinda young and inexperienced. so...i think seq. 48, whitwell 10.

Adam Lucas,Lookout Valley, ranged between a 4.49 and a 4.54. he's fast but what sticks out is how shifty he is. thats what makes him seem faster than everyone else on the field. i watch it after practices all year where people think they finally got fasst enough to beat him. they get let down pretty quick...

well, i guess we will just have to wait until we step on the field. ill have to give it to you, you do have an arm. yea, im sure yall will be able to pass in the game, but i dont think it will be as easy as it was before. its gonna be an exciting game. who all do you think youll beat this year?, honestly, and i dont care if you say us. 0-10 isnt that intimidating...lol

Lol, i remember you. i was number 30 last year and i play full back and strong side linebacker. this year i will be number 22. i was the guy you told "hard to tackle..." when i wasnt even supposed to be playing because of the ankle. but its cool. ill c u again this year. i got you, good point on seth's football biography. i just hope yall have other options besides the pass cuz this year it wont get you far. everyone knows thats what Temple is all about.....the pass. we definitly will be prepared for it.

I'm not coming on here to talk alot of smack because last year we had the perfect season. (0-10)..lol. but i am going to lay down a few facts.Temple....not much to say. they lost there star-stand out player. Caleb is just an athlete, but he's gone. now they dont have that option( which they chose every play) to close there eyes and sling the ball as hard as they can and let Caleb run it down. Now, its game on and im recovered from the ankle injury. SP has some talent but they get a little ahead of themselves. Last year we were up 6-2 at the half and majority of our starters were freshmen. we only lost 3 players. we've been in the weightroom since the end of the season and the freshmen aren't freshmen anymore. they got that out of their system. so, we'll see what happens. all im saying is we're not going to be the same team we were last year. beleive me or don't but we'll see it on the field. i can't wait 'til this season. it's gonna be fun....
