how did unaka cup cake a schedule the played 4 AAA teams beat 3 of them they played 7 AA teams some of them that are in the state tourny in AA and they played the best in the state in A in temple pickett and clay co. and the played good DII schools. they have played teams that get them ready for this time of the year they will come to play on wed and i will be very surprised if they dont play temple in the championship.

unaka will play hard and i dont know who said unaka plays a slow game but they were very miss informed. unaka is the most well conditioned teams in the state. rockwood was about to die in the 2nd quarter. the ref stopped to ask some of their players if they were ok. unaka will play their game and they will beat peabody.

Like everyone else that has posted on here in the past 12 hours, that was a good game from both teams. But I dont think Unaka was playing at their best by no means. No Happy Valley didnt shoot the ball well in the game, but that only says one thing....not consistant, 0-9 from three land, come one they should have at least hit 1 or 2 dont matter how bad your shooting. But if your going to say that Happy Valley lost because of their shots not falling and how bad their shooting percentages were....better get in the gym and get that worked out, because it might not be just L in the books, it will be a free pass to the house...its tourney time now baby !!!! Good luck to both teams, like Krich said, it would fun to watch both teams playing in Middle TN.

Im am from Unaka and ive played both of these teams. If Pickett thinks they can go into Temples gym and beat them...they are wrong. Temple is by-far the better team in this match up. Thank you

no no...its true I saw him do it at the Cloudland scrimmage. And I saw him grab a dime off the top of the backboard I was with him when he did it !!! Sullivan Central is making quit an investmant in this young man...he's definitly a top prospect in East TN.

If I can recall correctly Gene was the mascott for Hampton. Is that still him under the bulldog mask ???

Yeah, its true. As far as the Walsh comment, I guess he chose a different path for his basketball career. But it is true that Daniel has started playing again inspite of his knee injury. He should do well in the program...... I do Bluegrass...not Counrty

3dGym 1st Post This is a really funny post.For one no division one school is going to take a chance on a 5'11 guard who I personally saw play a numerous amount of times last year. Dont get me wrong the kid is a good player but he had players around him last year in that state tournament to make him look like he was the greatest player to walk the floor.There is a lot more to being a good player then just having a good tournament game "example"Giles county the year before last yes the same team with Tennessee signee Tyler Smith who will prob be drafted by his sophmore year of college to the NBA did not even receive the mvp award of the state tournament a role player point guard did and he was in the same situation as tyler and I remember seeing hearing him giving all the credit to his teammates around him. There is a difference between being a good player and a mediocur player.You got to know how to get your players involved in the game.Thats something that the Chambers kid could do really well last year.He knew what he had to do to help his team win a basketball game not only could he get his teammates open but he knew when he had to step it up and take over the game.He played unselfish and just went out there and had fun because he knew how to play the game of basketball. But we will see how good of a player the kid is this season when he has to try to do the work with out having those 3 seniors there to save them. It takes more than 1 person to be successfull. seems like Unaka is cashing all of its chips on 1 prize this year. if its that case then tickets should be sold at the games this year saying welcome to the tyler Mccan show.Call him mvp call him whatever you want to call him but in everyone elses eyes around here the kid is stilll a role player no stars on that team comming back this year just replacements. Now to get the facts strait to everyone out there on the creek in the county or anywhere around East Tennessee there is no comparison between Mccann or Chambers and there probably never will be yea the kid is a good player but if you go back and look from the time Chambers played to the time Mccann played than you will get a reality check. Chambers has played quality minutes on varsity from the time he was a freshman to a senior tyler has not and dont forget this is when the Aaron Dugger and Ben Cole days were around to.And im sure if you ask any coaches around the East Tennessee area who the best player is between those to they will tell you its Chambers.There is no doubt in my mind the kid is good dont get me wrong there I saw him play those 3 games last year and his confidence level was very strong and the way he handled himself through the tournament was outstanding but dont try to compare 3 good games from a kid to 4 amazing years of someone in my eyes was one of the best players in the upper East Tennessee area last year. All of you people on here should be encouraging this kid.No he is no one man show but im sure he reads this and doesnt like all the negatory things people are saying. Both kids last year were a class act you never saw them open there mouth and they shared the ball with each other and didnt worry about points because they knew what they had to do to win they worked good together at it.There was no one man show last year nor will there be a one man show this year it will be a team effort as it has been in the past and you can make sure coach ensor makes sure of that. oh yea, Temple is very good...but I think they can be beaten. Every team can be beaten, but yea they havea good ball club ill give them that and they are a tough team to beat. McCann for MVP. I never said in this thread that I was the best in the state. This was a stupid thread started by somebody that you all picked up on just to bash me. If you think I'm that bad I guess we'll find out when the season starts but I just wanted to state that I never said I was best in 1A. And by the way, I am LOOKING FORWARD to the big time Christmas Tourny, should be fun.

I stand corrected, you are right and I am wrong....But since we are on the topic.....lets get the facts striaght. Hampton was in A for a four year stretch, and they belonged in a little conference called the watuaga valley conference aka the WVC. during this four year stretch they came out with how many conference titles ???? none, zero, null and in any other foriegn language.....Hampton being the powerful A school that dropped down from AA to A. there must have been another school in this little conference to keep them from their title...could it be Clinch??? could it be North Greene???? ohh, could have been UH...or even Cloudland ??? ooops I forgot a team...could it have been Unaka, yeap yeap oops ut oh ummm I forgot the poeple that won the championship....was it Unaka???Can anyone help me out here. Nope I think im right about this one....Unaka won it 4 years in a row. How could this be, how could Unaka beat this powerful A team. Lets skip the conference and lets go on to the District tourny. what do ya say ??? We're gonna let you guys have your moment of spotlight. You did come away with one district title, but you didnt go through Unaka to get it, because they got upset by UH in the first round, but wait we are going to be nice once more...you did play in the District Championship all 4 years and we've already mentioned one district title. Guess who got the other three???? in a row???? go ahead take a good guess??? oh yea it was Unaka and you've got the 2nd place hardware in your trophy case to prove it......... Now we are going to give you more Kudo's....in AA you won one district title in AA....good job. Maybe, just maybe you guys are going the wrong way...maybe you guys should try your luck in AAA......... In conclusion, I am going to let this rest and mellow for a minute, and let you guys ponder on this for acouple of days, hours, weeks however long it takes you to put your tongue back in your mouth or foot out of your mouth...which ever.

Hampton lost last time they played Unaka. It was at Hampton, it was cold outside...it was snowin'. Unaka came out cold, but regrouped, pressed your alls eyes in, came back and won in OT, Cline hits four clutch free-throws, and Chambers has 25 points...and McInturff does the same. To go on and get a win over the doggs. end of story....I think thateserves 2 points And why do AA teams like getting their rocks off when they beat a A team. So what that Central beat Unaka.....and I guess hes doing good And plus I thought this was a topic about the teams in the Arby's
