  1. I don't think Upperman is in a position to upset anyone this year.
  2. Exactly what's the Red Bank deal, can you fill me in?
  3. There's no doubt everybody needs good feeder programs and all that but if the current coaching staff hasn't gotten that accomplished or isn't at least in the process of it then it is definitely time for a change. Cannon County CAN win. Yes it does take a special person at the right time. I agree with wingman10,but I would stick with Riverdale at this point. Excellent example is Jimmy Maynord now head coach @ Smith Co., was an assistant there when he went to Upperman. Quickly built them into a real good program when nobody thought there was any talent in Baxter, that everybody good went to Cookeville. At that time Smith Co. was pretty similar to what Upperman is now. Then Coach Maynord goes to Smith and you see where they are,and where Upperman is back to;not much better than Cannon,if any. So yes the coach DOES matter.
  4. That Massey thing seems to be right on. Where do you find this?

    Wing T ?

South Pittsburg won a state championship with it.That was about 12-15 years ago and they were state championship caliber every year then. That's the only one I know for sure.
  9. No way. They will not play j.v.players unless they are either up big or down big.At least they shouldn't.The playoffs are important but it is more important to play in big games like these in a playoff type atmosphere to get ready.Sounds like Tyler22 is setting the team up with an excuse to lose.
  10. Last couple of years this has been a breather on Cookeville's schedule(and most everybody else's).Not any more! Very interesting...feedback?
  11. If we have to play Riverdale every year then so be it(as long as it's not in the first round). We're not the only ones in the state to have to face a perennial power in the adjacent region every year.As long as we can consistently place 1 or 2 in 3-5A(which is very doable), then we'll keep getting shots at them.Someday we'll pull it off!
  12. ] Some of you guys are right, the Cavs have gotten some breaks this year. They are due for some though. In recent years past they have been on the bad end of some of these breaks and lost some of the close games that they are winning this year.Knowing how to win close games in a tense atmosphere can be more beneficial in the long run than blowing everybody out, even though that's more fun.
