Well I hope Bearden wins all there games but when you have a coaching staff that wanted to keep Devron Young happy and not letting younger boys play it might be a rough season.

Well farraguts O line has been playing together for a long time i think two started as freshmen and they also had few sophmores. Some of the Oak Ridge fans noticed how good our line was. Well your going to have to contend with the same line again next year. Because those freshmen will be Sr next year. AkA Doucette is one of them

Theres a kid at Bearden that is only soph. that has a 345 bench and a 475 squat after knee surgery. His name is Jacob Thompson would be alot stronger if coach was pushing him and his team instead of saq guys comming in and taking over the program.

Hey Pal Im on the same side as you I agree Maynard needs to go. I agree there needs disapline. I was this on the Bearden board after the Oak Ridge scrimmage. I never accept losing but your just kidding yourself if the community and parents fans everyone else hasn't . Just look at the situation were in, the fans of Oak Ridge wouldnt put up with this. They expect a championship every year, Bearden on the other hand expects to beat South Doyle and they blew that this year. So yes the Community has ecepted this team to be the way they are so next year well be 1-9 again when we could be 7-3 or 8-2. Believe it or not, thats what I expect.

you know we are unified its the parents of the Freshmen team that have been, well lets just say Jerks. You dont know how often we had to listen to you guys say "Just wait till are guys are ready " Were the saviors of the football team. Dont tell me that I didnt hear it we all endured it all year long. Think of the varsity juniors and seniors how they felt climbing the stairs and hearing it . Think of the Deavers who poured thier heart and soul into this program and having to listen to it. Yea yall showed alot of class just like your #31 whizzing on the front part of the school in front of parents and and other students and me, was this kid punished , no Lynn Hill and Chuck Rouse did absolutley nothing and the kid got to play against the Farragutt Freshmen that evening. Iam glad your guys are good and coached well but you dont have to shove it down everybodys throat every chance you get. One thing you might keep in mind with the limited # of work outs this off season I dont think half your guys will be ready, not on this level. You have 5 guys I think should be benching over 250 or more. I can tell those same guys cant do 200. Next season when your kids are like the rest of the team and losing dont go holliering for a coaching change. Ihave aready herd that a few of your kids know how bad it is and are leaving to go private. As for the accussations part it doesnt take rocket science to see whats going on. 8 wins in three years a 1-9 season this year. If nothing doesn't change will be 1-9 next year.

Son I like your spirit but your not mediocore. This program is far from it . I also think that you are good atheletes. Somebody once said Doing the same wrong thing over and over again and expecting different results is a sign of insanity. Thats what you got here. Your coach doesnt want to improve otherwise you would be working out already as a team. There would be disapline, there would be consequences , but your coach does not want that nor does he want to be successful. heck even the asst. coaches fight amoungst themselves. This is a program headed nowhere fast, and like I said before I dont know why bearden has a football squad because we dont compete.

The thing is you are not competiing, you are on everyone wish list for homecomming. Like I said Ive coached rec league for 15 years I couldve coached this same team to at least 500. It is ridiculous that nothing has happen yet and the program is getting further and further in the hole. I hope Iam wrong next year we wont win a game if something is not done.

I got a few e-mails but dont know if it was the letter. I herd that the players and parents and Boosters are going to fill out a survey on the coaches and the football program. I doubt if anything is going to happen. there is also a players meeting next week so between the two meetings maybe we will hear something. 3741 I have been coaching for about 15 years but at the rec level with my limited knowledge, I can see what the main problems are and I know you can too why cant anybody else? I hear from people in the community that "says well thats bearden football " has losing become acceptable is this normal? If it is why have a football team if players fans and parents dont want to compete?

I applaud your effort my son is also working out . Here is the problem though I seen alot of kids at the rush just going through the motions and running around like a bunch of yard apes. First you need to be organized and second, work out as a team. That way upper classmen can help the lower classmen. If anyone needs a place to hit the weights I got a nice cage down stairs, but you really need to do it at your school. Let me know if I can be of help.

There are some meetings going on plus somesort of evalution of the whole program. Sounds like the leash is getting tighter. Surveys are beiing mailed and there is a Special Booster Club meeting next week.

I hope your right about a new coach but we need to be in weight room now. Most schools dont ever quit so hopefully we'll start soon. it sounded like your were being sarcastic and i hope you were. I feel sorry for the wrestling team.

Thanks Rigger we do have some great athletes. I believe the asst coaches changes that you are referring to is they have a postion coach for every postion. The attitude change you are commenting on must be working cause you guys are still playing on Friday Night. I feel the same way Reviez feels too you should expect that . I expect that out of bearden Good luck Friday Night going to Blankenship is going to be tough. Farragut this time needs to hold on to the ball and play defense like the last time

I dont know if Coach Brown has left or not. I just thought he would be a great person to have on staff. The knowledge that this man has on conditioning could have helped this team. I dont know of the Wells kid I didnt see him on the varsity roster so he maybe a freshmen.

Ive agreed with you all year, thats why I mentioned coach Brown as being our strength and conditioning coach. He would motivate and bring excitement to the program. Thats something I havent seen in two years that Ive been there. I think you need to look at more than just coaching though. I also blame the parents for treating this sport as an activity. I sat through the Oak Ridge scrimmage and I saw our parents laughing cutting up while there sons were getting the heck beat out of them. The samething with the D.B. game. I had one parent say we are going through a transitional year and smiled at me. I blame the boosters even though they do a great job they need to quit giving this progam money until we do see changes. I blame the students for cussing our players at the games and at school. I blame the school admin. for choosing a great drivers ed teacher instead of a good coach. I even blame myself, this year I couldnt help out but as i get healthier I will. Yes we need new coaches and I blame Maynard for the mess we are in, all Im saying is he had alittle help that has contributed to the problem.

It always seems to be a great game. I think everyone rises up against Farragut. Even this year we fumbled the ball inside the the 10 at least twice, plus two interceptions. If it wasnt for the effort of the Reviez Boys it would have been a different ballgame. But thats the problem I have a philosphy that everyone should have to rise up to compete with Bearden. Until the parents, boosters, fans, coaches adopt that philosphy it will never happen. I think Karns did that this year and are going to be better next year. Someone wrote on this message board that we are the new Karns and they are right.

I know several coaches From Farragutt and they are trying several thing to try to improve. Coach Maynard has his own agenda and that is we are going to keep doing what we always have done and that is lose

I would love the Wrestling coach to be our strenthening and conditionening coach. This guy knows how to train and lift properly. Ive seen and meet Coach Brown several times at the Rush and he is absolutely huge. He would know the frequentcies of each muscle group you need to work out, and proper lifting techneques.
