  3. HA HA What's it worth to ya. That's the only color that I can add.
  4. Last I heard anything about Josh Wheeler, I think I heard that he was competing in the Riverbend Triathalon last June.
  5. I would like to send a huge thanks to the twenty-eight VERY special young men that step out on that mat, battle, and completely entertain and captivate a huge rabid crowd of has-beens and never-was. You guys are special, and I hope that you realize what a very special experience that this is. Win or lose, you are warriors, and, because of this experience, you will be ready to face the real world when the time comes. I respect you guys more than you can probably understand, now. A special commendation goes out to David Heffington. I can't remember when I have seen a Baylor - McCallie match that was officiated better. I know that this is a subjective observation, and there are those that will disagree. I hope that you zebras that read this board will pass this along to David. None of you guys get much credit when things go well.
  6. I believe so...counselor, and to whom are you billing this time?
  7. Way to stay out of this WV Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. Abraham Lincoln
  8. I don't think I know Decoy76, but I'll assume that this is an official quorum call for Merv's. Is there a second? All in favor.....
  9. Cornell went 1 and 2 on the day defeating Oklahoma, and losing to Northwestern and Minnesota. Corey Manson and Jordan Leen were both 2 and 1. Check out the story. Good job boys! http://cornellbigred.cstv.com/sports/m-wrestl/corn-m-wrestl-body.html
  10. Yes, they probably would. There is a certain amount of pride in poaching a student from across town. And, that knife cuts both ways.
  11. I was pretty sure that this thread would eventually bring you out of retirement.
  12. You are correct, sir. As I recall, with a little help from the wise child: Provenzano and Thompson planned to go 119 / 125. Neither could make it. A few years later, several weeks into the season Stokes Doster cut from 119 to 112 leaving Carson to challenge Leen, unsucessfully. The following year, Rankin Morgan got hurt, and Lane was brought up. (Not at the beginning of the season). Lesson learned: the best laid plans are subject to weight issues, injuries, and kids finding that they just can't compete like they thought at a certain weight.
  13. You can call me Joe, you can call me Johnny, you can call me Sonny, you can even call me Herm, but PLEASE DON'T call me Shirley.
  14. That's just what I was thinking. Definately worth the excessive price of admission.
  15. Hats of to RMC who was in the house for a great match. Did you drive up here just for the match? You're hard core. What a treat. A few upsets, a few disapointments and a bunch of great matches.
  16. Nate Rawlings and James Scott, both wrestlers, class of 2000, Baylor, are both in Iraq. An article on Nate's unit: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...2501518_pf.html
