  1. Harry, how about some results from the big match with Ooltewah.
  2. Had to be Raider 76...big mouth can't keep it shut. AMEN brother Bear Cat
  3. Folks, if you haven't seen Josh Condon from Parkview wrestle, you are missing a treat. He has taken his place as the McCallie Inv OW with many other fine wrestlers. Watch out for this guy. I'm told that he is a sophomore.
  4. Right, been doing that since early this morning. No names in the brackets.
  5. I need a littel help. I can't find any brackets except blanks.
  6. Colton is Tom's son. Interesting choice in school, and coach.
  7. Baylor went 4 - 1. Lost to Parkview by 12.
  8. ...or it wouldn't have been so close.
  9. Dear Mr. B.C. Brown, Thanks for your week in review. I hope it will be a regular feature for the remainder of the season. It reminds me of a cross between a gossip column and Roy Exum's old regular Thanksgiving column. Your perspective is refreshing and funny. I look forward to watching Tee and little Tee for a lot of years.

  11. Thanks for the correction. You are partially correct. That amazing sound came from the crowd with the slap of the mat. But, Leen had scored in the third period. Seems like time was running out, and Leen needed more than 3 to win. He was tilting Silberman, and one more near fall would not give Leen the win. The tilt led to a pin.
  12. Pretty sure: Phillip was a sophomore, Morrow was a junior. Phillip avenged the loss the following year. As far as best match, I want to talk about my favorite, and most memorable. (Excluding my own kids) 2001 D II 103 lb. finals. Jordan Leen vs Jack Silberman. As I recall, Leen clawed back from 7 - 0 to win 9 - 7 and take his first of four championships. He either scored all of his 9, or 7 of his 9 in the last period. Without a doubt, the most amazing match I've seen. And, judging from the crowd around me, I think there are a few people out there that might agree.
  13. Son of former UTK QB and broadcaster?
  14. My reference is to the state. They will probably win the Dade Co. tournament. And, will surely finish high at Knox Catholic.
  15. Gotta disagree. Moving from D II to D I A-AA is a move DOWN. Notre Dame will dominate the state duals, and may be undefeated in dual meets going in. ND has not scheduled Baylor. I can't say if they have scheduled McCallie, as neither has posted their schedule. My guess is they have not. Has ND scheduled Soddy? Will Bradley wrestle ND? (If ND is willing?) Will ND wrestle Father Ryan? That rivalry goes back a long way. ND will have a great year, but who will they wrestle? Their biggest challenges that I can see will be the traditional state tournament. And, whatever other "traditional" tournaments that they may enter.
  16. Didn't know her name, but she and the keeper from Franklin are the best I've seen this year.
  17. ...and CoachT shut down the Grundy Co. thread?
