  1. For all of those that supported East Robertson besides their Principal, Coaches, Parents, and all of their great fans...We have finally been given our RESPECT that we have been waiting soo long for. To Competitor who has made the nastiest comments of all, of all on this chat room, you have disgraced your school, You as a "POSER" read on, in case that you need help, Our Respect is right on the front page, as soon as you pull up football in case you needed help to find where the most important award given to a FOOTBALL player is posted. To all of the good people on this chat form read on: All Region Players...1st Team Chase Chevantaes Desmond Howard Justin Scharklett...Also Defensive Player of the Year Jimbo Rusin Chris Dudley 2nd Team: Joey Phillips Ryan Carrey Honorable mention: Josh Murphy Teko Andrews All County: Jimbo Rusin-Defensive End Teko Andrews-Corner back Justin Scharklett Ryan Carrey Joey Phillips Chris Dudley Grand Prize Winners...ALL STATE Jimbo Rusin Justin Scharklett Way to go boys!!! You got your respect!!! Jimbo Rusin by the way is a nickname given by his grandfather!!! Before you are a smartie like you usually are his full name is: James F. Phillip Rusin, Jr. He was given the nickname, Jimbo, because of the way that he has always played football, he was given that name because he reminded my daddy of a great football player that he had known by the name of Jimbo. I have seen you make fun of this name before..I am a yankee and proud to live in the south. Jimbo is a nick name in the south...whether you are a young man at a private or public school. His grade point average is over 3.4, so don't even go there. I have always loved CoachT and I have had heard other nasty comments you have made of different schools. I have already reported your name, don't make another mistake, your school will be finding out your "real" name soon. Coach of the Year 2-A: Coach Jeff Chatman!!!!!!!!! Congrats to Elrod, and Rogers from Lipscomb!!! Awesome Coach!!! Thank you for all of the support that you have given us through the year!!! Thank you to the GoodPasture boys and Coaches!!! Thank you for your support also!!! Good luck to you Patrick Turner, we will be watching you on National TV!!! J. Bush, Good luck to you in your senior year!!!! To WestMoreland, Station Camp, Donelson Christian, Houston County, Cheatam County, Red Boiling Springs and to all of the other teams that we played in our region...Thank you to the Coaches for finally giving our senior and younger boys the respect that they have deserved!!! Good Luck to all of you next year and may your year be safe!!! We are proud of all of you!!!! No excuses anymore...Thank you for being open minded and for remembering our great players that you helped to receive the highest honor in the game that they love soo!!! They have been put through soo much, getting terrible jokes made about them, mainly by a young man that I mentioned above. That is soo uncalled for but does happen which you can not stop, you have made this person eat his words by choosing the young men that you did by receiving the honors that they just received!!! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, the fans and parents of these great young men of East Robertson!!! You will all from each team be remembered as a great bunch of boys who all played their hearts out whether winning or loosing!!! Thank you all for a great year!!! It was PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am proud to say: Sincerley, Lynn the mother of my great son, #55...Jimbo Rusin, 2004, East Robertson Indians!!!!!!!!! God Bless you all...players, Coaches, managers, cheerleaders, fans, and parents of these great young men!!!!
  2. You can not cut down a school because it is private!!! I sure do not fill inferior though to those who do attend private schools!!! I would love for my son to have a private education, there is no doubt about it that the education level is higher and children from private schools tend to do much better in college because of the classes that are offered than to go to a small public school where the same classes are not offered!!! I can say though about East Robertson that they are trying!!! My daughter was a cheerleader and my son, Jimbo Rusin , #55, was a heck of a ball player!!! Jimbo had his best games against DCA, GoodPasture, and David Lipscomb, the first time that we played, not in the play off's!!! But hey, we made it to the 2nd round for the 1st time in our 2-A history, we beat a public school that you talk about was rude...Polk County, we had 4 chartered buses that drove all the way to Chatanooga and had way more fans than they did on their own turf!!! We were heavily favored to loose and with all of the talk that goes on, on this CoachT, we had more people that thought that we would loose except players from David Lipscomb that bragged on us more than anyone!!! Thanks, you guys are a class act!!! As far as the crowds go with public schools, yes we can say that last year and the year before when my daughter was captain of the cheerleading squad the crowd involvement was very, very, sad!!! Even this year at the beginning, our crowds took a little time to start the BOOM that we began to experience when our crowd, old players, old cheerleaders, our great local businesses, people who didn't even have children playing, people from all over from different cities began to attend all of our games, home, away, 2 hours away, even the great game in Chatanooga!!! Ask any team that we played, public or private, we brought the town and whomever else wanted to come!!! We made quite a few schools alot of money by the people that we brought, even their concession stands made big bucks off of us...It wasn't having the jealousy anymore of playing a private school, it was for what it's suppose to be about in the first place...FOOTBALL!!! I wish that we had had the attendance at our football games from other schools that we had played, our principal has tried to make us PROUD of our school, with new bleachers on both sides, a new concession stand, new bathrooms, mainly all donated by the parents that live in the Cross Plains area, the hard work at least. A community coming together, not to try and impress private or public school's that are visiting our great school, but to give to our students, our players of all sports, to make THEM feel proud of their school, for once not worrying what someone else thinks like in the old days having Davidson Acamedy come to our school and bring a sign that they held up that read, HICKS FROM THE STICKS!!! That infuriated me and soo many people!!! Thank God their principal had class enough to have punished fans who should be yelling for their team, than acting like rednecks themselves, embarassing their own school!!! Most of us that live in this area are people who grew up in Nashville or other parts of the country and wanted to move out of the hustle and bustle of what Nashville has become!!! We moved here from New Orleans, La., I wanted to of course live in Nashville, but my husband from Chicago wanted our children to grow up in an area where the principal and teachers know the names of the students, that they wouldn't get lost in the cracks!!! We sure if had studied our options would had liked for our children to have gone to Goodpasture who knew the name of our son because he was that good in football, the David Lipscomb Coach who also knew the name of our son because of his ability in football, one of the schools in Nashville that I think are the classiest!!! Heck, Murfreesboro Riverdale would have been my first choice with the talent that they have and the number of kids that go on to play college ball!!! They are public, they just have alot of talent out that way!!! I grew up where my brother was 1st runner up in state at McGavock, playing against a team back then that was a powerhouse and was private, Father Ryan. For some reason the jealousy has gotten way out of hand much more now than it ever was in the 80's, it wasn't that people were richer that went to private schools, it was how the lines were drawn and of course if you wre Catholic of course you would want to go to Father Ryan. In fairness to small public schools now, they don't give the schools enough money to have a great head coach muchless enough money to have at least 2 or 3 asst. coaches that are real football coaches, not teachers who give their all because there is not enough funding to give a public school, real football coaches that are our teachers!!! Not only did we have a GREAT group of football players this year, with SENIORS from HEAVEN who when they were small because of their parents money, played teams like Greenbrier every year for the Championship of league ball!!! Those SENIORS that won those Championships year to year from pee wee to senior pro, Greenbrier always did give us a run for the money though, Kudos to them for such a great year!!! Jimbo has good friends on Goodpasture, Bush and others, Lipscomb, Rogers and Elrod, great players!!! In reality though the TSSA should make it fair for teams like East Robertson to be in a division that is fair to them, they do have great players. Look at what they have to go through next year, all private schools but Harpeth. The team that is going to make out at least for local games is Jo Byrns who are in 1-A, and all of those great private teams are now ALSO in 2-A!!! So instead of the arguing or the smart comments that are made to small public teams like East, look at what they are having to go against!!! No crying here, it's facts!!! That is none of our faults, private or public, it's the TSSA, who like I read a comment that is posted on this subject said that they don't want to split them up, it might hurt their income!!! Well it's going to hurt the income of the school's, because who is going to go and pay to watch a loaded private school beat a small public school 48-0!!! One day they will wake up, it's everyone that needs to gripe, only out of fairness!!! Thanks for a good subject, and way to go East Robertson with the year that you had and too all of the many CRAZY fan's that made it to where you could hear us from any interstate, winning or loosing!!! It was an AWESOME year!!! Seniors, We will miss you all!!! God Bless you as you go to college, and maybe we will get some college players from this Group!!!! Love 4-ever, Quarter13...you know who I am!!! he!he!
  3. Is this a girl or a guy speaking? If it's a girl, hey that's okay...if this is a guy...I am kind of worried!!!
  4. With all respect to the 2-A divison football teams, have any of you thought or have heard who will make all district players or possibilities for the David Lipscomb, Goodpasture, East Robertson, WestMoreLand, Houston County, Stewart County, Station Camp, some played DCA so do they vote, Cheatam County also? Sorry if I have forgotten any teams in that division, please add teams if any had been forgotten. Of course we know Patrick Turner for GoodPasture, Rogers for Lipscomb and even though he was injured part of the season, possibly Elrod for Lipscomb. Just want to know what the players think who played each other and your input. This is no insult to any player, want good responsible answers from all players, starters on each team that had a good season!!! Best of luck to all of you!!!
  5. East Robertson played westmoreland the last game of the season...while tackeling a boy from westmoreland he was hit and he was out, did not move...it was terrible!!! It was a big game on who would finish 3rd or 4th which made a big difference in our region. As soon as it happened, every boy on our team whether they played or not was down, this young man had to be air flighted to vanderbilt, our players never stood up except to get something to drink in that whole hour, once they drank something they were back kneeling!!! It was soo hard to start that game back with what was on stake for playoff's but knowing that this young man could possibly not walk again. All during the game we had parents calling vanderbilt or we had people on our side who had known some of the meds and all through out the rest of the game someone was calling someone on the phone to make sure that this young man was going to be okay. Our cheerleaders cried through out the whole ordeal and we finally got them calmed down. parents were crying because at any time any boy on any team this could happen too. It's every parents nightmare but we know that when a young man plays football. Our Coach, Coach Chatman might be critized for various reasons, but is main goal in coaching is that you ALWAYS have respect for the other team!!! As much as we were ripped off by ref's this year, especially to the point that someone on our team could had been seriously injured, especially against the Houston County team, you just want to strangle these refs who sit there and watch late hits especially in the lower back and makes you feel like, how would they feel if their son was being hit late on purpose to cause injury on purpose!!! I was just waiting to see if they hurt my son on pupose which they were trying, I'd be in jail if he had, but back to the Coach, you would be in more trouble if you did not respect a hurt player more than you would have been if you had missed a blocking assingment!!! My mother was there and said of any times that she had seen us play that this was the most proudest she had ever been of a team or Coach to have had his team do that!!! Thank God the young man was okay and East Robertson received the most thankful letter from the Westmoreland team thanking us for caring for a young man whose life was in doubt that night than worrying about trying to hurry up and play a ball game!!! They said that they had the utmost respect for our team and parents that they will never forget, ever. Our principal read the letter over the intercom that day!!! So as much as a team wants to win, and we all do, coaches, players, parents, but when someone is hurt as badly as that young man was, morals come first!!! As far as that team that you mentioned that you said the whole team kneeled but that one player who seemed to have gotten away with it and must have felt proud for it, we don't know what he's thinking, maybe he deals with grief in a different way, but no matter how he deals with it, his coach is the one to blame for letting this young man do that, it's his fault all the way, I also would like to know what his parents think? They are guilty too if they are there, how would they feel if that cocky boy was being air flighted to a hospital, I would think that they would appreciate that someone, especially the other team is praying for him!!! This man is still young and is wanting to be taught something, His coach is to blame first before anyone and then I would look at the boys parents!!! If that boy was on our team, even if he was the best player on the team, our coach would have suspended him, if he did it again, he would have been off the team with the backing of our principal!!! We want to win, but you don't have to be some cocky redneck thinking that he's big and bad because no-one made him kneel, actually standing up when the rest of his team had the respect to do what God would want us all to do actually made him look like the coward that would probably enjoy being the one that hurt the young man!!! The Coach is worse though, he is the grown up the same as some of those stupid ref's and his parents!!! Good subject...Thank you!!!
  6. Well we did beat WestMoreland as you know and as far as Goodpasture went we tied the game with a 95 yard runback by #5, after the touchdown was made and the place was rockin' we had a ref as usual throw a flag back at our own 10 after the touch down was made and only then were we called for a holding penalty with no-one in the area. Well, once that happened you figured who the ref's were for. Finally after being tired of fighting the ref's our coaches and the head ref of all of Tennessee for the 2_a division also reviewed the tape and saw that there was no holding call at all. That ref got in serious trouble. It didn't get us back the win and we aren't using it as an excuse because the head ref watched the tape like 3 times before he made his decision. As far as Lipscomb, just unbelievable team. We were one of the only teams to score as many points that we did that no other team until playoff's occured. We did score more against them than Goodpasture did, but hey Goodpasture has a good team, Mr. Football Patrick Turner, enough said. It's just really bunk that when you play a team that hard any team it's bad enough playing the team that your playing but having to play the ref's stink!!! Most of the boys that I care about were seniors, and they played together as a team more than any other team since 1998 and that was 1-A football. This is the 1st time that we made it to play off's and beat a good polk county team!!! The seniors that we had were awesome, at least most of them were. It's just hard playing private schools and next year East has it worse with all private schools being moved up tp 2-A except East and harpeth being the only non private school!!! That's going to be rough!!! You have great speed left with chase, desmond, and carlos, but you have lost all of your strenght and power but look for the center who will only be a junior, mcAllister to shine!!! Since you seem pretty open minded about East but the Westmoreland game was a way off call, but who knew then, only we did, we liked that we were the underdog, heck we finished 3rd in the conference only after 2 private schools, Lipscomb and Goodpasture, the only true loss we had was to cheatam County who had a better team than most knew, for us we should have beat that team, bad play calling. Open minded that you are and hopefully a true goodpasture player or fan since you know your football as well as we finished who do you see if anyone making all district team? I will respect your response!!! Congrats to a good season!!! Watching Turner was a joy like watching a college player!!!
  7. Yes. your running back should have gotten Mr. Football. I am the mother of #55, Jimbo Rusin who played defensive end and offensive tackle for East Robertson. We were really pulling for DCA and by the stats your running back blew away the guy who did get Mr. football, our team was in shock. But, hey that's okay, you won the championship and believe me when recruiters are looking at football players for college, your running back I think will go before Mr. Football. He proved it and your team proved it in the championship game. Our game against you was one of the best games played all season!!! Congrats!!! Jimbo Rusin's mother!!! East Robertson
  8. Top Running backs in Tennessee: Carlos Hudson: only a junior for East Robertson...was hurt for most of season but if you could had seen him play Polk County was he was 100 per cent well you can see why he was named: Offensive Player of the year for Robertson County!!! Lipscomb game same injury returns still played his hardest!!! Watch for him next year...ESPN did a story on him last year!!! Pretty good for such a small public school!!! Another back to watch, only sophmore's: Desmond Payne, and Teko!!!! Great speed and moves as long as all private schools moving to 2-A doesn't kill them!!! Great ball players!!!

    Lipscomb

I would like to say tht you had a great year Lipscomb!!! My son is #55 Jimbo Rusin, for the East Robertson Indians...actually the game before you guys someone whose nickname was camper, something like that, actually he was the only "rude" person on your website, he must not have been a football player, he had made fun of his name, his name is actually, "James" Rusin. He played defensive end and offensive tackle. Jimbo we call him because of the love that he has for football and the way that he can play football!!! You guys and your coach has always had such good manners for a football team and it showed by the football program that you have!!! Class is what I would say!!! After the game was over and your coach who really read our defense good with Jimbo, #55, and Joey Phillips, #77, two best in the state, your coach knew that if he could contain these two men you had it made with the defense and you did prove that!!! One of your top guys at the end of the game when everyone was shaking hands told my son Jimbo, #55, that he should definetly make all state...actually 3 of your players told him that. I would like to say, Thank You!!! We have had quite a few players tell him that from different teams, even Goodpasture, and we appreciate that you saw the player that he is, sometimes your own team doesn't recognize the talent that he had!!! Oh, they knew it, it was just never sat out loud!!! Well, I am sorry that your season is over, but you should be PROUD of yourselves for not only being a great football team but acting as Christians that you are!!! Good luck next year and thanks for the memories!!!! Lynn Rusin mother of Jimbo Rusin, #55, East Robertson Indians!!!
  10. Thanks Vandy 1!!! Just gettin a point across with out sounding caty!!! Actually, I thought I was pretty darn nice!!! Well, "sir is it? Well sir, I hope that you are watching...that kind of answer you just gave , the team will see and you just helped us get pumped for the 1st half instead of the 2nd!!!
  11. Some of you, yes you think that this is going to be a runaway!!! Fine, you go ahead and think that!!! Every team that they have played, the predictions' of Murphy Fair had East ranked second to the bottom in pre-season book. The worse that they rate them and the more that they have to go against the ref's...if your a player you can look at all of East's games, you will see yourselves that not only were they playing against a team.. they also had to play the ref's too. These guys want no excuses...Let EVERYONE look ahead, don't even look at the game tomorrow night. Go ahead and start figuring out who the team is that Lipscomb will be playing "NEXT" Friday!!! These young men love when people, players, and coaches think that there is NO possible way that East can win this week's game. Ask Polk County who was at top of their game, they were looking at "this Friday", tomorrow Friday, on who they were playing, not who they were up against last Friday night, East Robertson!!! Well they can look all they want to now because they are sitting at home or are watching ball at another field because all that gettin' ready for this Friday night, their aint no gettin ready because they aint playin this Friday night. Easty Robertson- 12..Polk- County-7. With having Hudson back in the game where he didn't play at all the first meeting of the two...#5 Chervantis, Payne..Great Speed. #13 Murphy and #11 wide receivers. #13 Murphy, big senior can just about catch anything thrown to him. The defense which will blow any sports minded recruiter away...We love playing teams like this!!! You bring out the recruiters...thank you for that...Recruiters come and ask for names on some of these defensive lineman that is on East's roster. Rusin, #55 and Phillips, #77 will impress any football fan that is at the game!!! Rusin, having 13 sacks with getting 1 more playing David Lipscomb will break school's record. An average of 9 solo and asst. tackles per game. Phillips, #77, 7 sacks, with an average of 9 solo and asst. tackles per game. Senior Ryan Carey, #71, making two huge sacks last week against Polk County!!! Murphy and Dudley in the back field!!! Teko Andrews and Desmond Payne, Justin Sharklett, Chase Cerventis, all dangerous backs!!! Have great speed!!! After watching what these boys did shutting Polk County's offense down, play after play, down after down, having nothing left inside of them getting all together and knowing that these same young men would turn around on offense that drive, being on their own 5 yard line making holes for Hudson Comes all the way down scoring with 22 seconds left!!! Shock of all Shocks to many teams and media, "No shock" to East Robertson Coahes and fans!!! So to a team that we respect, the Mustangs, go ahead and start adding your points up in your minds, we have nothing to loose!!! We will be playing as if this is the last game of our season or to be playing to advance further in the play off's!!! No one has worried about us all year long until after the game is over, with their mouths dropped in awe, paying compliments to Hudson, Chase, Dud, Murph, really emphazing on the killer defense and the hugeness of "Jimbo Rusin", and "Phillips"!!!!!!! Watch out for #52, Kahn. Senior starter, is huge both ways!!! Been getting some stats himself lately!!! Polk County big game for Micah!!! Can't forget #23 Trent MCCormick, the speed of a madman, one of the team's leaders in getting the gang pumped up!!! Him and Carey can come out of no where on defense and offense, you know who you have hit once your down and you see the number's!!! We have been picked to loose just about every game that we have played this year...thanks to those predictions and the ref's killing us, we just seem to like it that way!!! Adversity...That's Easts' middle name!!! We never stopped at winning Jr. Pro and Sr. Pro's division champs with wins against Greenbrier and White House. Alot of those two teams who have outstanding athletes on their team, them growing up together playing with each other since the age of 5. Well, you guys remember those days when East played ya'll, 7 of us from those days are still back together wanting to win this teams first TITLE in 2-A ball!!! We are all SENIOR'S now with the help of a great team with younger and strong starters such as McAllister, Johnson, Hudgens, who are all on a mission to help their SENIORS win each Friday night to the end!!! It's baby steps for East, one Friday at a time!!! with all I wrote above...East by 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd like to thank David Lipscomb as a fan. High Class ball team!!! Been to watch you the last couple of times bringing a huge crowd with us to sit on your side to beat GoodPasture!!! We read what some of you wrote when we were playing Polk County!!! The majority of you chose us and bragged on our defense!!! We appreciate that alot!!! Good luck to both teams!!! May you play ball as the way football is played!!! No dirty ref's, we really can't take it anymore!!! LOL!!! Focus on the game completely!!! What ever happens, you know that you can go right back at them!!! You have finally admitted that you have the "STRENGTH and SELF CONFIDENCE" in your minds to beat any team that is put in front of you!!! Go to your players that are your leaders, go to your coaches if needed. Just have that game plan in your mind and remember it!!! After eating lunch..remember your senior song by the great Pink Flloyd, this led you thru your homecoming!!! "HOW CAN YOU EAT YOUR PUDDING IF YOU DON"T EAT THE MEAT"? Senior's... the song for you tonight will be" Live like you were dying"!!! The words are soo true!!! We can only ask for the best, you've shown us that, let's get another week added to our schedule!!! You guys win "THIS" game...No Tellin' what Mr. Ballard is going to do for the school next week!!! You have brought back football in the City of Cross Plains!!! It's about time!!! LOL!!! Remember, no matter what the out take is of the game, "YOU THE CLASS OF 2005 WILL BE THE 1ST CLASS EVER TO HAVE MADE IT TO THE 2ND ROUND IN DISTRICT PLAY OFF'S!!!! It's a heck of a lot harder than when you were in 1-A!!! The team that is dominating, DCA is the one team that their coaches have always admitted it's soo hard playing East Robertson!!! They flipped over your defense, you all almost beat them!!! Their coach said in the paper that EAST ROBERTSON will be the ONLY TEAM that could have came close in beating them!!! Well we knew that.. CONGRADS.............TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
