  1. Sounds like we may have some jealousy issues. You don't get ranked 27th in the nation by Unapproved Website for nothing. He was seen this summer by many scouts and his stock is very high.
  2. What happened to Gross. How many 6'7" to 6'8" high school players get kicked off or quit? Did he move?
  3. You must attend a rival school to Science Hill. It is hard for me to believe that someone really thinks Wattad is that bad. He has the athleticism to play at a major. He may not walk in and take over, but he can get playing time if he hustles and works hard in practice. If he can learn the Georgetown offense, he can and will play there.
  4. Everyone could have stop replying to this thread after Indian hit the nail on the head. Both good. Both DI. Different players - completley. Just depends on who recruits them, where they stack up on the depth chart and what the needs are of the school recruiting them. Jurrick is a tough post player and likes to play with his back to the basket. McMasters is an unusual talent because of his height and ability to dribble, pass and shoot. I like 'em both. In high school, I would prefer Jurrick. He will be a tough match up for most teams. If McMasters gets cold, then he will not be as valuable as Jurrick day in and day out.
  5. Not only is he a Junior, but he will be 18 years old this year (should be a senior). He is a man amongst boys. I must admit that the other Juniors are starting to catch up with him. He is so quick and is such a good defender, that you know he will be playing major college ball. He is not a lock for a big time program, but could test the waters. He is for real.
  6. I hear so many good things about M.J. Brown. Why doesn't Andre rank him higher?
  7. No, he is not a good shooter. He is a good playmaker and has excellent ball handling skills.
  8. McMaster has more than height. He shoots extremely well for his height - actually, for any height. He is definitely a big time player, but don't know Skogen. Who did he play for in AAU? If Grace had all their players in their summer camps, then they are not a good team. Can't see them making any state finals with the team I saw - even though Carter McMasters was very tough to defend and made some great blocks.
  9. Even so, you have to give them the nod. Liberty is for real.
  10. Chaisson Allen is a great player. Northeastern did a great job of getting him. He will do well at that level. Just because he didn't go to a major college, doesn't mean that he won't play at a very high level. They still have some very competitive teams in that conference and he will get to play against some top teams in non-conference play. Go Chaisson! One point of clarification. He is no where near 6'6". He is closer to 6'3". He is not 6'4" or taller. He may play taller under the basket, but he is barely 6'3". I guess people think that because so many teams falsely elevate the heights of their players. If he stands next to a player listed at 6'3" and who is really only 6'1", then you tend to think Chaisson is 6'4". However, it is not so. Ask him. I bet you he will tell you that without shoes on (the way you are technically supposed to be measuered) he is no where near 6'4".
  11. Don't know GPA. Totally different player than Wiggins. Wattad is a decent ball handler and shooter. Will be able to play 2 or 3 in college. Could not say that one is better than the other. They each have a lot of talent.
  12. I think you guys need to start a new thread for this district. Probably a new poll would be good too. The current results of this poll, tell me 3 things. 1. Oakland is definitely considered the best team by the unbiased fans. 2. Siegel must have the most fans posting on Coacht on a regualr basis, because there is no way they should be number 2 on here after losing the players they lost last year. 3. Riverdale is way under rated. I saw them play this summer at camp. They are loaded and could be a top 15-20 team in the state. Smith is ridiculously talented and he is not the only player on the team. Thomas wasn't even playing and they looked good.
  13. I am going to have to disagree. I think Liberty will stay with Oak Hill. They may not win, but they have real talent and on a good night could beat anyone this year. I say they keep it to 10-15 points with Oak Hill.
  14. Oglesby in AAA - Team is going to be very good and he will put up big numbers Robinson in AA - Probably a safe pick A - ? D-II - B. Wright is not even the best player on his team.
  15. Who is going to be able to give Culleoka a little competition? I hope this tournament is worth their while.
  16. May just be state champs this year with the talent they have and the preparation they will get with that schedule. Kudos to the coach and AD at Liberty.
  17. When is this boy going pro. Based on thoses scores, I think I would consider skipping college and start challenging Tiger for his rightful crown.
  18. The most amazing thing about Earl Anthony III moving to Richland is that Jonny Petraglia's grandson is moving there as well!
  19. Someone help us out on this. Where is Devin Boyd going to play in college? Or, where is he playing this year?
  20. Reading between the lines............. Beech is going to stink this year and may be good in a couple of years.
  21. Sounds like the Siegel coaching staff may want to put a little more emphasis on preparing for the season. With the talent discrepancy between these two squads, this should not have been close. Maybe 3-4 players were injured for Siegel? Otherwise, I would have to say White county must have come to play and were coached quite well!
  22. Glad to see Culleoka is finally getting some respect.
  23. Great point. They probably should have records by eras. You have to factor in games played, 3-point line, and other rule changes.
