Finally game day...rain this morning...clearing out by noon. Should make for great playing conditions tonight at the PITT. It comes down to a few factors: Can the Pirate O-line sustain blocks, can Boyd contain the Pirate speed, can the Pirate D-line get penetration and take pressure off the LB's and Safety...time will tell but my prediction is as follows: Pirates 48 Bucs 32 Go Pirates!!

A little tip my friend. Skip dinner this evening, your gonna have plenty crow to eat tonight!!

Or maybe even a wildcard team winning it all...like Midway! 4 and 6 regular season....only meet teams with losing records in the playoffs because all the top seeds knock each other off and then one remaining top team is so beat up they can barely field a team in the finals and loses....State Champs at 8 and 6 with no district championship. Gotta love the system.

I for one agree with you. Gordonsville is hands down the favorite this year. Yes, I do believe we can beat them. Maybe they will self explode just as they did last year.

Who gets bumped from Quad 1 in 1A if Sunbright qualifies. They are sitting at 3 wins and could possibly get two more victories.

Even if we beat Boyd and GCA, they both will still finish 1st in their districts and get priority seeding over Marion who will finish 2nd to us.

If they are worse than Midway, wow!!! Whitwell is terrible and they destroyed Midway!!

No because the 2nd tiebreaker is simply number of teams on your schedule who have won 50 percent or more of their games. That's where we have the edge by one team right now.

Actually I do look at the bigger picture. If we win out and Grundy gets to 5 wins, gordonsville has to hope Jackson county wins two of their last 3. If this happens the 3rd tiebreaker will more than likely decide who gets the number two spot, which is total victories by opponents on schedule. That one will be close. Either way though, it appears a 2nd round matchup with them either at home or on the road.

Lots would have to happen for us NOT to meet in the 2nd round. It's only a matter of where!! Hoping its at the PITT!!
