Barb, my posts were in reply to you but were not directed toward you.I already knew you are not from Central my refernce to Central kids were towards the users with Cougar in their name and were never toward you. You need to read a little closer before you start criticizing my posts. Ok the 2 Florida teams are Michael K. Dob and PK Young both are 2 of Floridas best teams and may be the 2 faves in this years tourney. A clarifiaction on the German team they have 2 6-11 players and their coach says this is his best team. There is not a team from Texas but there is a team from New Orleans which will probably become a fan favorite. This year may not have the star power of last years but whos would? If its the Arbys you know its great teams and great competition. The parings will be announced this Sunday afternoon Nov 19.

Old Vike, this does not sound like an induvidual disgruntled over an outcome, it sounds like an ignorant, pethetic induvidual who tried to compare teams when there is no reason for it. No one was even talking about the 05 team and vikingpride4life felt that he had the need to show his displeasure in a uncalled for fasion. Old Vike I do not think you understand what our quarterback is trying to say. VikingPride4life has absolutely no viking pride and no reason to make the comment that he did. He tried to compare Viking teams which is un called for. Danny is standing up for the team that put is heart and soul out there for week in and week out and was probably one of the most athletic quarterbacks to come through our school. Old Vike I think that it is you that should grow up and realize that Danny has more Viking Pride than you will ever have. It doesnt matter when you played u r a Viking like all the rest of us and should not make such brutal comments to current vikings instead you should congragulate them on a fine season. I know for a fact that the German team is in it, along with 2 temas from Florida, Liberty Magnet, Antioch, a team from Washington state, and a team from Texas again I believe not sure on that one. But from what I know this is suppossed to be the best German team theyve ever had and i heard they have 3 guys 6-10 and over. The favorites are suppossed to be the Germans and one of the Florida teams. There are many teams coming I didnt mention.

Well the coaches poll is as follows: 4.Tennessee High 5.Sullivan Central 6.Volunteer So my opinion is not much different from theres.

All i heard this year was man this DBs year and we got a shot at state this year but man when it came down to it yall choked........ Again. Im sorry maybe next year yall can live up to your hype.......I doubt it.

1.DB-Lots of experience and lots of talent and even this year maybe a little bit of depth. Losing Sensabaugh for the 1st couple months may set them back a lil but this year DB is still the team to beat. 2.Science Hill-We all know about Omar but hes got some help in Gray, Rhyans, Odem, and Adams. They will play lots of players like they always do and when regional and substate roll around i expect them to be in the mix like they always are. 3.Sullivan South-Aaron Wiley is an all around player that can do alot of things. Hes got help down low in Reid Powell and guard Henry Ringley. 3 is a good spot for South but they are subject to drop. 4.Tennessee High-Not much experience but plenty of athletes. The scoring will be distributed pretty evenly but this teams main strength is defense. Corey Young, Thomas Turnbull, Josh Rose, and Matt Fleenor all have the capability of scoring and they also have their lone returning starter Matt Layton. 5.Volunteer-Browder and Cradic can both fill it up and either one of them can put 25-30 on you on any given night. 6.Sullivan Central-Cougars return nifty guard Justin Hess but therest of the team is uncertain. Wes Baker is a capable player. Central will have to rely on the momentum is received from their 06 banner season. 7. Daniel Boone- Decent team with some decent size down low in Osbourne and Bowser. However Blake Moncier is the go to guy for the Blazers. 8.Sullivan East-Coach John Dyer has always been about the 3 ball and this year will be no differnt with sharpshooter Isaac Snapp. Snapp will be in the running to lead the league in scoring again this year but has help in brothers Dillon and Austin Favor. 9.David Crockett- Big David Murray will have to step up down low but can also kick it out to a very solid guard in Bishop who can shoot the 3 and drive to the basket.

Cougarfan you bein from Central and all I highly reccomend you not bring up anyone getting beat down in football because well I dont remember yall winning a single game Only 2 worth mentioning -lol You remember the names Matt Fleenor, Thomas Turnbull, Corey Young, Jeff Baker, Marcus Canty, Matt Maclellan, and Mason Canty (who played a great game at QB the other night btw) after the season and tell me again theres only 2 worth mentioning .

Well the jamboree wont show what the Vikings have at all because they have 7 varsity basketball players still playing football. Thats right 7. 3 maybe even 4 starters and all 7 of them will be getting considerable playing time this year so you can laugh at them at jamboree but it might come back to bite you when we play you in the season. Also heard that DBs Coty Sensabaugh will be out 2 months with a broken leg suffered in their football game Friday. I really hate to hear that best wishes on a speedy recovery from Tennessee High.

I give Volunteer props for finishing the season hard and making the playoffs. But this Tennessee High group of seniors will not let this Volunteer group of juniors beat them at their place to end their careers, its just not happening. Volunteer will have an excellent shot next year to advance but not this year.

Liberty Magnet, Bradley Central, and Antioch are playing in the Arby's Classic this year which included Brentwood Academy and Bolivar last year. A pretty good out of state field as well.

Tennessee High's Viking Hall seats about 6500. Biggest High School gym iv'e seen.

I think its safe to say that Bolivar has a underacheived this year considering they were 17th in the nation preseason by the Sporting News. I know Chism has been hurt but still. They can change all that this week with a strong showing at the Arby's.

I'm not sure if I would say they are playing above their predicted level. Remember DB was picked 3rd in the Conference and Tennessee High was picked 4th. According to the preseason poll, they have beat everyone they were supposed to.

I'll give credit when credit is due. We just wernt ready for DB tonight and they found a way to exploit out press. Id say Goose and Shaud prolly had a about 20 a piece but it wasnt enough. Sensabough hit a couple big 3s down the stretch.We had a couple good shots at the basket as time was winding down and couldnt get them to fall. I expect this years conference champ to have 3 or 4 losses so we just have to shake this 1 off and get ready for Sci Hill on Friday.I really liked the atmosphere at the game tonight and im sure it will be know different Friday.But Good job Indians and we will meet at least one more time possibly more.

I find it hard to believe that South is as good as Tenn High when Tenn High won at South without their best player and 2 main subs.Science Hill proved they couldnt win at South last night. But this week should be interesting with Tenn High hosting Dobyns Bennett and Science Hill.I think Tennesee High is a top 5 team considering they have a much better team than last year that went to M'boro as one of the final 8 teams in the state.

Youre right i did forget Hamilton. I know they have Jay Watkins and another tall guy I cant remember but they are definitely contendors.

AAA is really up for grabs this year. Here's my top 5. 1.Siegel-Great team with a lack of depth just trying to hold on without Ramsey. 2.Ridgeway-Defending State Champs a great team even without Niles. 3.Bearden-Tony White Jr. puts Bearden this high on his own. 4.Shelbyville-2 great players in Tilley and Stewart with the most impressive win yet this year over Brentwood Academy. 5.Tennessee High-Has dominated all opponents with the exception of Bolivar which had to have 2 buzzer beaters to beat them. Others Considered: Whites Creek-Has stomped every opponent Bradley Central:Terrance Oglesby is lights out. Raleigh Egypt:AAA shouldnt affect the program Oak Ridge: 3 starters back from a state tourney team What do you think? Who else has a legitimate shot at the Gold Ball? Will it finally leave West Tennessee?

They won without Shaud because of the great senior leadership by Ty "Goose" Harmon who put in 27 and i got to give my props to Tyler Harrison who moved over to the point and had 15 and did a great job handling the ball and Eric Snapp and Carleton Bell and Matt Layton and all those guys did a great job picking up the slack for Shaud, Mike, Barry, and those guys who we will be very glad to have back Friday against East. This Tennessee High team had the pre-season number 17 team in the nation beat in the Bahamas and let it slip as time expired but you better watch out for them Vikings.
