  1. I agree with nwtf. I believe the refs are the only thing that kept this game from being a 50 plus point blow-out. But still a great game played by the Tigers.
  2. Well to day waverly is out of school so i hope they are resting up and not hunting this is a big game for both team but if you think about it riverside will be cocky and think they will walk on waverly but on the other hand waverly knows that they are a good team so you ask me i think both teams have a little bit to worry about riverside cant get the fat head and waverly has to play hard but i dont think that will be a problem i pick waverly in this one
  3. big boy yes maybe but compaired to some of the wavo boys a little kid like #7 # 84 and # 75 your 84 has not an inch on these big boys but adamvile gets hammered bad 28-8
  4. Waverly has 2 Freshman starting on the line. One of which who is 6' 2" 260 pounds.
  5. i think the upset last friday will keep these tigers fired up any way richland i hope you offence is ready for waverly dfence they have worked hard all week and the running back from mcewen said that they hope you are ready for these big boys see ya tomarrow go waverly
  6. All you Hickman County fans who are saying that Coach Swenson is turning that program around are idiots. Last year the only team they beat was the worst team in the state in AA. This year they have beat 2 AA teams, oh well. They are about to start playing AAAA region games and if they aren't any better than they have shown they will only win one more game this year.
  7. Friday night i was most impressed by Waverly's running back #1 who was probably averaging 6 to 7 yards per carry. Waverly probably would have won if he wouldn't have gotten hurt in the 4th quarter.
  8. what a game you dawgs did better than i thought you would but you didnt exatly get 280 yards either i personaly think #2 after to lost fumbles to big #75 he was looking for the sideline and i saw this from the stand. and what about that #7 boy not bad on that running. and #12 can stand in the pocket or can run but never the less i think both teams played hard and dawgs i dont care what you think the tigers arent bad at all and good luck to yall oh yeah ill be listening to the radio #75 #7 #12 and #84 to see what yall have to say
  9. im telling ya you dont have a clue you will see in about 22 hours your little running back cant do it all what about the line waverly may of had a bad game last friday but who dont have bad games like in mount pleasent the d line killed the oline all game the wery first play tackled in the back field by #75 very next and i mean the next play the qb is getting flushed my the d line and boom interseption the qb had no were to go when the big and i mean the 2 big boys up front busted the line down like little kids you may think you have big boys you havent seen any thing just wait oh yeah i hope your d line like to be on there back there getten slamed if the line misses on the pass you got the big back warren he should be a lineman himself but boy can he run the thing that gets me the most the one player your going to think is a jr or sr is realy a freshman # 73 so we will see hickman go down in this one

    best team (freshman)

Waverly has a great freshman team. Their line is 300,220,240,220,260 and these are guys that can move not just bodies. their backs will run you over and their defense gave up about 6 points per game last year. and three of them are starting varsity with about 5 playing regularly. this should generate some great experience. they are a team to look out for in a few years.
  12. Waverly should have a promising freshman team. there offensive line is averaging about 240 pounds and they have some good backs. they are kind of lacking at qb though. there defense held opponents to about 6 points a game last year. they should be tough.
  13. Are you referring to the Mc player who left McEwen for greener pastures, couldn't quite cut the mustard at the other school and then came running back to McEwen with his tail tucked?? And you call him 'great'???!!!
  14. Is the 'great' one you are referring to the same Mallard player that left McEwen, couldn't get the job done at another school and came running back to Mtown with his tail tucked, only to labelled 'great' by you, Catfish???!!!
  15. It is a shame that several idiots can ruin quite possibly a great rivalry. Two towns so close should always play one another, especially being in the same county and being close to the same size. They should play in all sports. Think of how great of a basketball event it could have been this year with both teams doing so well. Unfortunately, because of various reasons (all ridiculous by the way), it will never happen.
  16. I was reading yesterday that Camden has a very qualitypitcher by the name of Lumpkin. How good is he and when is he scheduled to ptch?I love to see good young pitchers and I dont want to miss him if he is as good as everyone says he is.What kind of stuff does he have? How fast is his fastball?Changeup?Curve?
  17. Oh I guess you are always right because Humboldt is not in our region mr. catfish. I guess you were misinformed. Oh yeah, and thanks for the preciction on waverly next year because you were certainly right every time you predicted sycamore to role over waverly this past year. Keep them coming because I know coach K and bobby knight are knocking down your door wanting to know your predictions. There are few people that are as blind as you when it comes to supporting their cheatham county teams without listening to reason. But hey, let's get ready for humboldt next year. I guess we should start preparing for raleigh-egypt cause they are in our region too right? Learn your facts catfish. Oh, and I guess you are probably in line for the coaching job at sycamore since you know so much about every team and who controlled which game.
  18. Catfish, you are starting to sound like btown. I guess it makes sense since you two are taking up for each other. Let me repeat this to you who is changing the subject now. I was simply refuting your statement that waverly did not challenge giles. I never said that I wanted you to say waverly was better than sycamore this year or any of that. You are changing subjects just like btown was. I simply stated that you were wrong on us not challenging giles. But yet, you take this as an opportunity to say enjoy it cause sycamore will be back next year, blah blah, blah. Be back? Be back to what? Go ahead with all of your predictions because they worked out great everytime you predicted a sycamore win. Look at your track record on predictions. I guess you forgot that all of our district will have their hands full with the new region we are in next year. Or did you know we were in a new region?
  19. Here you go again btown. Let me remind you again since you keep switching subjects, the debate was not om who was better sycamore last year or waverly this year. The debate was whether or not we challenged giles county this year. Again, I implore you to read the thread and not switch it to your own debate. But I guess you can keep debating back and forth to yourself since you are making up your own debates anyway. So again, let me remind you again, THE DEBATE WAS ON WHETHER WAVERLY CHALLENGED GILES. But ok, let's see you will come back with sycamore was better cause they played us better last year and it was on march 3 which is a more difficult day to play on than the day waverly played them this year or some crap like that. So let's just see what this turns into now because you will come up with some reason to change the subject.
  20. Hey genius (btown). Giles is not the same team they were last year and bolivar isnt either. If I remember correctly, didnt you pick up someone that happened to transfer from southside? Yeah, you are making a lot of sense. The only games you have seen were at Bolivar and you are making comments on who played giles better when you were not even at the games. Keep riding your bolivar team and stay out of the giles dispute because you havent even been at the games. Bolivar will probably win the state and you should be proud, but to comment on the giles game based on who played bolivar last year and this year, you are not very realistic.
  21. Hey btown. I did read the post carefully and I did see where he was talking about sycamore and giles county. That was the whole reason I replied to that. So now let me get this right. You are saying you agree that sycamore played giles better that year because they played bolivar a better game that year. And waverly must not have played giles a good game because we didnt play bolivar a good game? Yeah that makes a lot of sense btown seeing as you didnt even see giles vs. waverly. Intelligent post there.
  22. Wrong usage of words? You are on here all the time catfish so I know you can go back and read what you wrote. Quote: "Waverly never challenged Giles in the region final. Scores can sometimes be deceiving" Yeah, that's what you said. And yes, it was to one possession in the fourth quarter until the loose ball saved back in bounds and then kicked to the corner for nelson to hit a 3. Yeah, we gave Sycamore their props and you cannot take it that Waverly had a chance to win. Did they? No. But they had their shot and you have a problem admitting it because you have to always make sure you take something away from them. Oh yeah, and btowntigers. I am glad you are taking sides with catfish but you need to learn to read the post and what we are talking about. We are talking about giles county vs. waverly not bolivar vs. waverly. Bolivar beat us hands down and their is no disputing that. I know they are your team and the greatest team ever so read before you post.
  23. Ok Catfish, I was starting to think that you have posted some pretty good comments and then you go and post this. You truly show that you are a cheatham county fan and that you are blinded by that sense of reality. Sycamore had their shot at Giles the previous three years Waverly had their shot this year. All of them ended with Giles winning and there is no disputing that. However, Sycamore did put up a good fight when they played them and they were in the ballgame for a lot of the way one year. We give you credit for that. And then you go and post that Waverly had a great team this year and that we didnt really challenge Giles? How about the game being tied towards the end of the 3rd and Waverly having 2 or 3 chances to go ahead but just missing their shots in the middle of the 4th? I guess the score in your head must be deceiving you because the game I was watching was a 2-4 point ballgame with Waverly fouling at the end to make it 11. It is amazing to me that you give Waverly credit by being a great team and then you say we didnt even challenge Giles? What do you call a challenge? Us winning? Well if that is it, then I guess we didnt challenge them. Just because you are mad we had a chance to win do not take credit away from Waverly. Waverly and Sycamore both ended their seasons the exact same way by way of Giles and Bolivar but I still cannot fathom your quote on how Waverly was not in the game against Giles. I really wonder about the credit I have been giving you in your posts.
  24. If you saw the game in person last night, you have to come away knowing that it was a lot closer than the final score indicated. The Waverly team fought to the end despite the fact that Hollis fouled out and Leonard and Ralston injured their ankles. Ralston eventually had to leave the game, but Leonard did return. Leonard injured himself while trying to stop Willie's layup. No intentional foul there btown. If flagrant and intentional, he would have shoved him and sent him into the Bolivar faithful. As far as the officiating was concerned, they let them play on both sides of the ball. Bolivar was in the bonus each half, while Waverly never got to the charity stripe unless it was on a shooting foul. Also, in case anyone missed it, Chism picked up his second foul in the second quarter. Suddenly, the white referee changed who he had called the foul on. The Bolivar coach had already taken him out to protect him. Then, in the third quarter, Chism mysteriously picked up his first, not second or third foul. Obviously, Willie is a good player, but he had a bad night. DJ Reid played good defense on him all night long. Don't make excuses when good players have bad nights. Ralston wasn't as effective as normal but that happens when the twin towers are camped out in the paint. Those two change things for any team. Once again, good defense. As far as impressive dunks, I'll take the 6 footer going up and over a 6'8" and a 6'9" player any day, even if he missed. You don't see that every day, especially against two players like Chism and Kemp. And no, Big O did not get a piece of the ball; it bounced off of the back of the rim. However, in the end, the better team won the game and will advance to next round. Waverly had an excellent season and has nothing to be ashamed of. Bolivar is an excellent team and will likely repeat as champions. Congratulations to both teams and good luck to the Tigers in the 'Boro.
