I personnaly can't beleive that they (whoever they are) even considered Brandon Warren for Mr. Football. Along with the sports statistics you have to include sportsmanship and leadership. Brandon will miss 3 games because of unsportsman like conduct. That's 20% of season. He let down not only his fans, but more importantly his team. You people are sending the message to some of these athletes that if you are a good player, you can do what you want and still receive accolades which is WRONG. To the people who voted this into reality...what were you thinking. BW you should of handed the trophy to runner-up and said you didn't deserve it. In paper this morning, coach Reid is talking about how everyone in Alcoa is proud of BW..I think BW is one of the best players I've ever seen....but he should never have received this honor.

Just a question? Riverdale had won 28 in a row and ranked 19th in usa today. Maryville is 82 out of 84 and can't seem to crack the top 25. Why do you think this is?

alcoa is one of the best teams in 2A. they are equalled by the teams from the west like Goodpasture, Milan, Westview, Hutingdon. loudon doesnt rank in the top 7 in 2A. They dropped from 3A where they were pathetic and went 2A and played some weaker compition like wartburg, oliver springs. who did they play out of region. It wasn't a Kentucky team that was in 3A semi's in Kentucky last year, or maryville, or fulton, or McCallie. Sorry , there is no way you can say loudon is 2nd best 2A team in state. that is a real joke.

If you watch the replay and see the spinning ball (JOKE CALL), and that was deemed excessive celebration, then you had to see #44 for loudon jumping up and down several times and clapping his hands in front of Brandon and official...is this not taunting. I guess the ref did not consider it so, even though #44 just about jumped on the ref as he was celebrating. And for you little indians , I would see where you think officiating fair. Alcoa penalty yards 185, loudon penalty yards 25. If you notice, I have not capitalized the L in loudon...they don't deserve it. You are merely a stepping stone for Alcoa. At least those little teams like Rockwood, Wartburg, and Oliver Springs did score on us.We play you two games and all you can manage is to goose eggs.

Fan2Fan you are really a pathetic joke. You know nothing about these boys at Alcoa. They bust there butts every day, not just game day. And yes you are playing the race card. I don't see how you have not been kicked off of Coach T. You make me sick to my stomach saying things you know nothing about. As far as Loudons football team, they are just another stepping stone. We CAN win without BW. Something funny is that during the year Wartburg, Rockwood, and Oliver Springs at least scored on Alcoa. In 2 games I believe Loudon had 2 big goose eggs on the board. Now that Loudons finished for the season you can kick back in that recliner in your trailor on someone elses land, drink you Budweiser, take a few dips of Skoal, and figure out your lineage (if you know what that means). for all of you talking about alcoas lack of class lets look at region 2. first of all look at who everyone in the region played when it wasn't a region game. most of those games were cupcake games. not alcoa. look and you will see the truth. if you are trying to be a state champion you play better (not worse) teams than you are. alcoa is forced to play region games and those teams like most 2a teams cannot match up with alcoa. we are trying to win a state championship. when you have to play week region teams at end of season and first three rounds of tournement, you have to play starters sometimes. they need to be physically able to go 4 quarters in semi-final and championship game. when people say we run score up, beleive this..there were 4 region teams that we could have laid 100 points on easy. same with gp..trust me it could have been 140-0 if we play starters whole game. just go back thru allregion teams..see who they played out of region and you will see what i mean

i think alcoa wins this game easy. i know loudon fans are pulling for cak. that is the only scenario for loudon to keep going in playoffs. alcoa wins state again. as for last weeks game...you had to be there...alcoa fans were scratching their heads...but their was really no way to stop it. you know it is going to be bad when gps coach made the statement in maryville paper that his team did not even deserve to be in this game. that really shows how much faith he has in his own team. YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE!!!!!!!

does anyone know if the admission charge will be for both games? what is admission? how much seating capacity does this field have? what time would gates open?

I would like to thank whomever made the decision at HHS to drop AHS. Hope WBHS does the same. Alcoa is a 2A team (really qualify as 1A based on enrollment -9th-12th= around 400 students). Playing teams like 5A South Doyle, 5A HHS, and 5A WBHS really hurts our strength of schedule because the 5A's above are less than mediocre--heck they are just pitiful. We have allready filled 1 spot with Fulton (3A- last year state champs in 3A and playing in semi-finals this year). Word is we are trying to get Austin East and Oak Ridge - neither a "give me" game. The fact is, to be great, you have to play the best teams you can. We will never drop Maryville - because they are one of the best teams in state. Win or loose - we will never quit. The BlountCounty 5A's have done just that --- they have QUIT!!!! SHAME!!!! SHAME!!! SHAME!!!

I think that no matter what HHS does, they will never have a serious state level football team. I know a lot of people at HHS that will tell you that the problem starts at the top and goes all the way down to players. Dropping AHS is not the best route to take to rebuild a team. Picking up mediocre teams like they have done will not get them to playoffs. Go way out on a limb... if HHS goes to playoffs they get blown out early. WHY??? Playing weaker teams in the season. Rewis is wrong...ask some of the people and players parents about it and they will tell you that HHS will never have a good team. This, however, does help AHS because of state rankings. Their strength of schedule is low because of playing weak 5A schools: Heritage, William Blount , and South Doyle. We play Maryville every year and most times they win, but every once in a while we beat them. We don't quit playing them because they beat us, we gauge our team by them. Alcoa has already picked up Fulton (a 3A team that is in semi-finals and last years 3A state champion) Trying to get Austin East and Oak Ridge. Both power house teams. We would never play down unless it was some 1A powerhouse like Boyde-Buchanon (who could beat almost ever team in the state, no matter the class- yes they are that good). As for the final touchdown in this years loss. Well the freshmen practice as hard and as much as the starting team. They deserve to get into a game and play. Not take a knee to run out clock. If the freshmen team can score on your starting defense... then shame on you!!!!!!

I play for alcoa and I think our coaches will have us ready. We know DL has a great football program and great coaches. We will have to bring our A game to beat them. If we stay focused and cut down on the penalties I think we will come out on top in a close one. GO ALCOA!!!!
