You know what amazes me is that not only is that this stuff happens in every state I am a young coach i am 29 have been a head coach 4 the last 4 years and went to the second round the last two years and i decided i was going to make a move so i resigned before christmas. I did this so that the school would have plenty of time to find a replacement. Every job i have interviewed for i felt great about the interview but it all came down to they hired someone that they knew or somebody they helped out i cannot believe that it actually happens in other places and yes i even applied for the hickman job and never ever heard anything from them i would have moved and probably stayed i just wish that people would realize that there are good people out there other than the people they know Andrew Aldridge

okay my brother used to coach at perry county in linden and i visited him a few times just loved the atmosphere seemed really good and i am just looking to move i am not one of those coaches who is chasing that state championship i want to build something so ican see my sons grow up and see them go through the program Andrew Aldridge

okay here is my deal i am 29 i teach high school math and love coaching i have been at my current position for 4 years 2-8 my first 3-7 second 6-6 third year eliminated in seconr round of playoffs and this year we are currently 4-6 losing the division title by 9 points i just want to get somewhere and build a program that is a good place for my family Andrew Aldridge

I coach a team in mississippi and we are very middle of the road with great athletes but our guys are selfish and self centered always wanting the spot light i wish our guys would play like you guys have described from a coaches stand point i t hink it is better to coach as team with heart and guts than with selfishness and no heart i would die to coach at a place like that

just from reading the posts it sounds like a lot of people care about the program and that it needs some direction and consistency why in your opinion has the program gone down discipline athletes support or just a combination

Do most schools in tenn mix up there region games with non region games just wondering bc in ms we try to play all nonregion at the beginning and then start region to finish out the schedule

i'm cool man i was just worried that some one was slinging it when down by like 35 that could make a game real ugly

let me get this right if your are going to get beat ar supposed to get beat then you should work on your passing game that is crazy imagine this you get the ball back and are down by 21 you throw 3 incomplete passes which stops the clock everytime so you have ran about what at most 30 seconds off the clock. so if you run the ball everytime and milk the clock i wonder which would run more time off the clock hmmmmm.. if i were there instead of throwing the ball i would have every running play i could think of and use it to run time off the clock

football is the best gaame on earth and if it is fun for the players then things will eventually turn around just make it fun that is what i have been told if a kid likes doing something he will do it with all his might. i have seen it take place in many schools

i respect coach campbell he is a great coach but he has been chasing the big job so to speak and he got burned at mississippi state university he got fired when sherrill got fired so he has had to start over but trust me he will be back but it will take a while
