Adam Vespie can be a factor at some schools but he wasn't one at Wartburg last season!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But who knows he MIGHT be one at Temple. Just remember Vespie there is no "I" in TEAM!

As for marching bands compared to hip-hop bands, there's nothing like a good, clean formation on the field. Hip-Hop bands are like MTV- they're not about music, they're about image. The music is by far more difficult and much more tasteful. Hip-Hop needs to stay on the radio where it belongs and let marching music take the field.

Wartburg's drum major beats any director I've ever seen. He does so much more than basic time patterns to get the band and fans involved. The band added something exciting to such an upset of a season. To be such a small band program just rebuilding itself from years of neglect, Wartburg CHS's band is pretty sweet.

I could care less what you and your orange and black fan base start chanting. ALL that matters is that it is basketball time. You actually think that it bothers the Wartburg fans by chanting that " LOL " I don't think so. Wartburg is all about basketball if you haven't noticed that yet!!!!!!!

You know what, you are EXACTLY right. There is no since in getting on here and talking about Vespie, its not worth it. AND yes you are right it was his desicion to move to TEMPLE, but I am here to say that he did turn his back on his TEAMMATES! But its all ok though the DOGS are BETTER without him!

You can't say nothing bad about him because he was a total team player, not only did he lead in PPG and Rebounds, but in ASSISTS and Steals also, and i know your sayin that a team player is not somebody that just does all that stuff that i just said, but everybody that knows Shannon knows that he will always be there for his teammates, on and off the court. He is the definition of TEAM LEADER. I am not getting on here to praise Shannon, but it is obvious that the post you made was through pure jealously or maybe you just don't like him, and you know that if have watched Shannon play you would know that he is nothing more than a TRUE TEAM player!!!! And yes this is not just one but several of Shannon's teammates that is writing this post!

Coalfield girls probably will beat Wartburg girls but the guys will not

ME supporting Coalfield or Jonny Hill would be like me saying that Coalfield is going to win state in basketball! " Its just NOT going to happen ." I am a BULLDOG fan all the way. Coalfield will beat Wartburg the entire year!

Pay attention! I am talking about a JOKE! I could care less why Vespie moved to Temple, but I know one thing, whatever the reason was it wasn't a good enough reason to turn his back on his teammates! BUT it turns out that it was BEST for the dogs that he did leave. I have saw the dogs play, Vespie leaving didn't hurt the dogs, "IT HELPED THEM". AND like i said before, the reason Vespie wasn't happy at Wartburg was because he WASN'T the STAR somebody else was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice Picks! Except you are leaving out a few people and you have a few people that shouldn't be on there! For starters Jason Melton should be on there before Timmy Blakely and D.J. Shannon will have a very good year this year, now whether he will make all region or not i don't know but he will be the outstanding junior in the group. I watched Cosby several times over the summer and to tell you the truth,"Not Impressed". They where scheduled to play Wartburg over the summer but didn't play them do to the fact that they forfeited because do to the fact that they got beat by Pigeon Forge by 25. Cosby will NOT beat Wartburg do to the lack of team effort. I watched them play over the summer and it was like an NBA all-star game. It was nothing but selfish basketball, it was like they didn't want Blakely to even touch the ball it was like they was playing keep away from there best player. Timmy Blakely is a very good ball player but i just don't think that he is the MVP.

That's an even BIGGER JOKE! Coalfield's whole school wouldn't be able to beat the dogs on the hardwood, even if they had their J.V. in. I am not tryin to down Coalfield in anyway, because they will suprise a lot of people, but as for them contending with WARTBURG, like a great man by the name of Lee Corso once said, "NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND".

Vespie stand in the BULLDOGS way, "HAHAHAHAHA", what a JOKE! The reason that Vespie moved to Temple was because he didn't like standing in somebody else's shadow, that wasn't a vespie! WHO will stand in Wartburg's way!...................................In my opinion, NOBODY! They are just to good, I guess you could say they are a force to be reckond with! And of course they have competition, but they question is will they lose to that competition? They just have to much talent. For starters they have a POST by the name of Jason Melton that stands 6'2, 220 and is unstoppable in the paint, secondly there is Ray Jenkins 5'9, 180 and is a defensive machine, next there is Travis Nelson 6'0, 170 and is quick on all ends of the court not to mention goes to the basket hard, next there is DJ Shannon who stands at 6'4, 175 and is a dunking machine and is also a threat around the perimeter, then there is Jeremy Shannon the returning MVP and he has only gotten better over the summer. Off the bench you will have Josh Hamby, Caleb Bunch, Shawn Langley, Jordan Hamby, Anthony Rogers, Dustin Brown, and Aaron Harvey. Coaching the dogs will be District 4-A coach of the year Joe Layne. TO me thats really all you need to know about the dogs!

Harvey is a good player when it comes to j.v. and next he will probably get playing time if he works hard during the off-season. I think he is a sophmore. Way to go dogs on your win. By the way who got all tournament.

Wartburg will step up their defense tonight against coalfield. They will play a close game tonight but they will have to stop Casey and Conlon.They will also have to stop Jones. It will be a Barn Burner tonight. I am for Wartburg but i am picking the jackets by an odd number.
