We all know the competition level in the Knox area is overall much tougher than up here... has been for years now. That's why i said it will be a tough nut to crack...no arrogance here, we learned that lesson in 04...lol...but we'll show up and play and see what happens.

It will be a tall order for sure ,But Boggs has these kids believing they can beat anybody. We've already played the two toughest teams we will see this year in DB and Science Hill. taking nothing away from powell I'm sure they are plenty tough and we will be heavy underdogs. But after getting our clocks cleaned by DB and I guess SH even though we put 48 on them.I think it thicked our skin up somewhat and we are now a better team for it. Now Whether we can beat Powell or not ..well were gonna give it all we got ...will it be enough?Just have to wait and see. Powellphoto is your field a natural surface or synthetic?

Looks like we're truly going to have to be ROAD WARRIOR'S if we are to advance any farther. This will be a tough nut to crack I'm sure. But it can be one. We run a true spread attack with 4 or 5 very capable targets for Henley to throw to.Running backs are small but run bigger... scat-back type with power. Defense is undersized,but that has been our story all year so that's nothing new to us...but they do swarm to the ball and are on you like pack of Rabid Spider monkeys. I'd say we are about 65-35 pass- run percentage.

Way to go Vikes!!! Awesome job by the staff adjusting at the half. The 2 turnovers in the redzone in the first half I thought for sure thought had done us in..But thats just shows you why you just keep your head down and keep playing. Now on to Powell!!!

That's good to hear...always look forward to the South game and i know the players do as well.

Personally i would rather we keep Jeff County, South,and pick up Mo-West Or Mo East .. just for the caliber of competition.Really don't care to see them renew the East game...it does us no good to play VERY weak program's. Plus it is only a rivalry if both teams win every so often. I really don't see them dropping South though. That is a rivalry. i know it's a good little drive to Mo-town or Jeff City but it is worth it for the higher Caliber of compeition and if we strive to be better and ever having a chance to take home a gold ball. We need stiff compeition. JMO

What does West run now? ..I know they use to be a power team with a couple of 4.4 guys at RB with a little PA passing mixed in..I heard you all had a stud RB this year also.

Well Got news for ya ..this ain't the Stubbs 3 yards and a cloud of dust offence anymore. Those days are gone. I'd say a fair percentage would be 70% percent pass now with Coach Boggs at the helm.

Hey ..We did'nt start the Boone vs. MO West thread did we..No!! it was Boone.. so YEA!! overconfident I would say that qualify's. we just know what we are capable of.. your basing your opinion off of 1 bad game. Just ask Science Hill or DB what we can do.I Know ...I Know we gave up a bunch of points, but at least we kept trying to win and did'nt start milking the clock like some others have done. And we did'nt worry about trying to cover a point spread If you lose by 5 or 50 it still goes in as an L.

All i'm gonna say is.. if we don't turn the ball over 6 times like last time ...and i'd say the odds of that are very slim indeed...we win by 14...I really hope the rest of the team is as overconfident as you guys

Yes they do...I was hoping to meet in the second round ,but friday will be just fine.As for your slow non -athletic players as.. YOU..call them they are just as athletic as anybody other than the 2 6A schools of coarse.Don,t know where you dug that one up, don't think anybody here has said that. Odds are though you won't get 6 turnovers in the second quarter this time to help the cause..so strap in for what should be a tight one this time around ,but like CAP said we must tackle better or it won't matter.

Carter was just mad because his defence got embarressed as bad as ours did.. End of story..you'll find out how it feels tonight though.

After getting our tails kicked by both i'll give my unbiased assessment of both: Science Hill: runblocking is adverage at best and seemed slow off the ball at times,but are huge. Pass blocking is better,but we did get a couple sacks and some pressure with 4 Backs are decent speed and do run hard and good size QB he is the real deal extended many play's with his feet, good arm and accurate Pass D...not good.. to much confusion in the secondary Run D...again huge, but again slow of the ball at times..not much pass rush kicking game good WR..good size and hands other than #4 i did'nt see what i would call many deep threats . DB: Run block really well come off the ball very well,very big and physical Pass blocking..did'nt see enough to tell really Backs..Speed and more speed if they get a seam forget it..not real physical though QB..SPEED..seemed accurate enough but if he had to pass to win..don't know. Pass D Corners are tough safety's are there weak link in the secondary IMO Run D very solid and big run to the ball well and are physical and quick off the ball Kicking game is very good WR...Speed and good hands but not alot of size After all that I'm picking DB 48 - SH 28 Ignore any misspell's i was in a hurry..lol
