My dad coaches at Coalfield and I think that if they make it to Trousdale, they could be overlooked and pull the unthinkable

it doesnt matter who Alcoa has played, they won last year, they have all of their starters back, unless any of the other teams have all of their starters back, its no contest. Look at the scores of their games, they killed 3 time defending 3A state champs Fulton, all of their other games were over in the first half. Maryville would beat anyone in 2A by 20 or more

does anyone give coalfield a chance, if not how far will they make it

My prayers go out to Coach Kries and his family, Gary has treated me better than even my own family on occasions, There is no other coach I would have rather played for

What about the 92 team from Clinton. They beat Riverdale in the third round who beat cleavland the year before the start of their streak. Clinton was ranked #11 in the USA Today at 14-0, but they did get upset in the championship game. And the 97 Trousdale County team that outscored their opponents 736-56 giving up no more that 8 in a game and won the championship with a 15-0 record

there are weak teams in their region, but there are also some solid team in the region. no matter how weak, they are there and thats all that matters, i never said coalfield was going to win, your just one of those idiots that has never played a down in his life, and bashes all of the other schools just because your team is good

people can say what they want about coalfield being overrated but when it comes down to, greenback can make no excuses about never making past the 3rd round while coalfield is playing in the semis

I am a former Coalfield Football player and i would like to congratulate coalfield on being in the semi finals and the only public school left in the playoffs in single A. That could really be considered a championship but close only counts in hand granades and horsehoes. Boyd has a class act program and a great football team. I wish the best of luck to both teams. To the boys from C-Town, play balls to the wall and keep your head up no matter what the outcome. Phil. 4:13 says "I can do all things throught CHRIST which strengthens me" ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE
