  1. I believe that it is called the Daily Herald Challenge Cup or something along those lines.
  2. First off, this thread is on Mr. Football for class 1A. It is not about whether or not Marco is D1 material. You don't have to be D1 material necessarily to get Mr. Football. I understand that Mr. Football is for the best, which you would figure would be D1, but colleges don't always find the kids in the small schools, right? Marco played running back both Freshman and Sophmore seasons. And I realize what you're saying about the Quarterback running the ball isn't the same as a running back, but our offense is kind of built as if he was.
  3. Ok, against Collinwood he had 285 total yards, and against Moore County he had 229. If you consider that sub-par for him, then obviously he deserves the award. Check your facts before you post please.
  4. well, i asked who won last time, and all you talked about was how the trojans did. you know, maybe they will win next time, but every game you predict them to win, then they dont. its kind of sad.
  5. "yall mite have won on the scorebord" that is the funniest thing i have ever read. so you're telling me that the scoreboard is not the most important thing? That stats are more important? Then if we play yall again I hope we win the scoreboard and yall win the stats, cause that way, in case you didnt know, means we continue, and yall go home. Like every year.
  6. A whole lot can change in 3 to 5 years. Heck, Mt. Pleasant went from 0-10 to 12-1 in 2 years. Just cause they won a state championship 3 years ago it doesn't mean they are worth squat this year.
  7. It's funny. It seems like everyone in Collinwood was "sure" that they would beat us then. Did they? Huh? Any takers? Did they win? Were the Collinwood fans correct? I'm really not sure, but they said that they knew they were gonna win then, so it seems like they would have to be right everytime, right? So, Mr. greenskyhawk, would you like to answer the question? Who won that game?
  8. Ok, so are you the new Mr. Rogers or what? All you do is try to solve problems, and make everyone get along. You were the kid in elementary school that "tattled" on everybody, weren't you?
  9. Exactly what I was going to say. Moore County looked like they wanted it more, and it looked as if Mt. Pleasant was expecting it to be handed to us. That quarterback for MC made some great plays. Mt. Pleasant's defense just wasn't what it has been tonight, but by no means am I trying to take anything away from Moore County. Tonight, they were the better team. However, I haven't lost faith in the tigers whatsoever. They will bounce back. This might be a good thing...a good ole slice of humble pie. Who knows, this could be the best thing that could have happened.
  10. Mt. Pleasant would actually have to lose two region games for it to matter. That have the tiebreaker over Cornersville, Wayne County and Collinwood because they beat each one of them.
  11. You need to check your facts before you post. last year we made it to the 4th round. Now since I'm not sure if your smart enough to realize this, I'm going to tell you that the 4th round (semis) is past the third round. Seriously, how can you not know that. Obviously you haven't been paying any attention, which makes all of your post have even less merit, if that is possible. "PUT UP OR SHUT UP"...you need to take your own advice. Collinwood did not put up, yet you are not shutting up. Hypocrites are so annoying. I hope that yall improve, that way when Mt. Pleasant beats yall again, if you can make it that far, since you couldnt last year (remember, you only made it to the second round, whilst MP made it to the 4th) it would mean that we are just that much better. Dang it, I love being a fan of the back-to-back-to-back-to soon to be-back region champs.
  12. If I recall correctly, wasn't the region weak last year? I mean, that's all I heard the entire year, and then when we make it to the play-offs, Wayne County, Collinwood, and Mt. Pleasant all made it to the second round, with Mt. Pleasant going all the way to the semis. How can anyone gauge this region correctly? The top 3 teams (Wayne, Collinwood, and Mt. Pleasant) haven't played any games against non-region opponents from class A. And those three teams have a combined record of 4-2 against AA schools, with the two losses coming from Lewis County, which is undefeated in AA and is ranked 3rd in the state. So you tell me, how is our region weak? Also, I am sick of hearing this. "Marco is all you have." Well, if that's true, it's kinda of sad that that no team for the last 19 games could hold 1 player to less than 100 yards. I mean think about it. You use it as an insult to Mt. Pleasant, but if all you have to do is stop that one player, why can't you do it? It either means that he is better than the opponents entire team, or he isn't the only one playing. Take your pick.
  13. It was obviously a sack to everyone in that stadium, except the ref. And if any Collinwood fan reads this, you know that was a sack.
  14. How many injuries did Mt. Pleasant have? I was there at the game and saw them stop play several times, but a cramp is not an injury. There were two players for Mt. Pleasant that were injured. They were number 4 and number 19, I believe. All other so called "injuries" were just cramps. Which is why they were able to continue playing the game. And Trojan Sports Fan, what do you mean you lost respect? What did the players do? Now, of course they were mad, look at the calls. And yes, you guys received some bad ones, but the "tackling to hard"? It's football. The kids were frustrated that they were doing good things, then getting penalized for them. Also, I saw quite a few times were after a play a Collinwood player would push a Mt. Pleasant player. Sure, some of the pushing was started by the Mt. Pleasant kids, but for you to say that you lost respect for MP is just sad. Our kids did the same things that yall's did. And I still don't understand the tackling to hard. How in the world do you call that?
  15. just curious to yalls thoughts... how long will it take the losing team's fans to get back on coacht? as in, if mtp loses, how long will it take before we see them on again, and if collinwood loses, how long till the log in again? we'll see who is talkin the trash then., or really, who want be talkin then.
  16. overconfidence kills? tell your coach and quarterback that. they are the ones sayin that they will win in the newspapers.
  17. i don't care how good collinwood's defense plays in the second half. the way mt. pleasants offense has been playing, they might have enough points in the first half.
  18. thats a great point. but yeah im like you, id rather lose in the second round to a team that stays in 1a than to lose in the semis to a team that moved up to 2a anyday. maybe those ssssssssssss's stand for smart. and also we dont need excuses for collinwood...we never need them.
  19. and you know deep down that it dosen't matter what happens...collinwood will once again run out of time.
  20. my bad, but was that guy holding a trophy standing next to Jeff Fisher? personally, i doubt it, but of course I didn't see it.
  21. o, i went to last year's game...i remember collinwood running out of time also. and let me spell it out for you. you have been able to perfect ur triple back offense from last year, which put up 399 yards on us. well, we have been able to perfect our defense from last year, which kept yall to fewer points than we had. also, while yall were perfecting ur backs, we were perfecting ours, which includes one who was on News Channel 2 earlier tonight. i dont know if you were at last year's game, but that one dimensional offense pales in comparison to this year's multi-dimensional offense.
  22. Ok, so you're saying that Collinwood has had more time to get their backs ready than Mt. Pleasant has had to get their defense ready? I don't know if Collinwood's backs have improved, but I do know that Mt. Pleasant's has improved tremendously. I really don't understand why you think that Collinwood's backs have improved, but Mt. Pleasant's defense hasn't. It's stupid.
  23. I'm not saying that that is totally true, I'm just saying that's what I heard. But seeing as no one else has said anything different, that's what I'm going by. Plus, think how bad the seating would have been on Lewis County's side if they had to make room for a band.
  24. Thank you, I was thinking that there was one I was missing, but with this new layout on coacht, I coulnt figure out how to get back to the old schedules. Everything that I wrote was just by memory. But you're right fbgirl, we did play a full game against CPA. Sorry everybody.
  25. They have one, just supposedly the band director felt that it would be to hot to play.
