  1. of course you would think so swanson cuz they beat the crap out of rbs. so may i ask y your not playin for rbs, is it cuz your the pr or cuz you just wasn't good enough
  2. hey the game is tomorrow night and there is no predictions or responses and i know some hs fans got to see clarkrange play at clay and so did clay fans so i want hear what ppl think about the game?
  3. you can't refer back to last year cuz last year rbs had marcus hudson whom i believe was one of the most underrated players in the district along with jay mason and joe england who provided alot of hustle and energy. granted we also lost shooting with jessie and hustle with andrew i'm still sure that rbs lost more! as for tc 4 games in 5 days... .. every team plays each other dfferently! there is no evidence anywhere that you can provide that will make me believe that rbs can win by 30+ not that they might not win but there is no way by 30+ i think swanson needs a huge reality check if he thinks that's possible....... freshmen in b4 the forth quarter...... that's just arrogance and that kind of thinkin might be what causes rbs to lose if the players fall into that same mind set! nice stats though gotmilk i like the research. gl wildcats
  4. from what i seen tonight and i don't know alot about clarkrange but they played pretty well against clay but i didn't see anything that hs coudn't deal with if they play hard and smart. either team by 6 hopefully hs...... gl wildcats
  5. for the hs boys i know i am a little bias as you can tell if you have read any of my other posts. they are a very talented team with a whole lot of youth between all five starters ( no seniors ) they have two players with a little experience and the rest have little to none. but as for talent they couldnt' be in a better situation, ethan birdwell a freshman is quick as lightning and if he can stay under control and play within himself can more than make up for his inexperience. timothy mclearan has the softest hands for a big (tall) guy that i have ever seen and a shot that seems to never miss, curtis hatcher brings a little brute force to the game and a scoreing potential but will mostly be used for pullin possibly double digit boards a game, william russel is a very multidemsional player that is unbeleiveably talented still lacking a little size and speed but he uses smart decisions and fast thinking to his advantage. and the last starter matthew smith is perhaps the most talented yet the least selfish and although sometimes that isnt' the best thing i'm sure that in the future when he gains some confidence he will be unstoppable either as a scorer or a passer when needed. off the bench come andrew lewis and jimmy cambell with lots of energy hustle and ball handling. they have depth talent and when the experience catches them they will be tough to handle.
  6. i know what larrrrrrrrrrrry coaches and i have been there and seen him lay it on so thick that it last for a week much less just through the boys game but unless it is called horrible the refs aren't an excuse! i agreee that one of the former hs players could help the cause but i was on one of the worst record wise, teams that hs had had in a long time in 2002 and we still beat rbs celina and homecoming, it's a different ball game when it comes to rivalries like that. talent doesn't play nearly as big a role as heart. and we aren't lacking in that or at least i hope not and i do believe that the homecoming comeback was proof of that. i ain't sayin for sure that we will win but i am sure that it will be close and not 65-29!!!
  7. i wasn't at the game but i know how pickett teams are cuz i played against them and i don't think you are respecting the other team when you are up by 30 and still applying a full court press or a half court 2-2-1, y can't you simply lay back and make it a respectable loss instead of a blowout. but i guess in order to have a mr. basketball contender you must give him all the time you can so his stats look good of course. just another opinion!!!
  8. i hope you like your crow frozen, cuz that's the only way that i know it's served late on a sat night. unless something awful happens like the refs get influenced by larrry like they have been known to do. then this will be a close game and you may be eatin a 14 point crow or it may be a 2 point crow but i hope your hungry.
  9. false info. no duffer didn't he attended ttu for one semester that had nothing to do with ball and then dropped out.
  10. not everyone but apparently everyone that posts on here is anyway. tell me what's goin to happen if hs holds meador to 12 and heady to 8? what in the world is rbs goin to do with a 20 point game....... lose! i'm not sayin that hs can do that but you need to get your heads back down to reality. it looks like after the beating pickett county gave ya'll you would lose a little air out of that big head. you can blame it on owens or heady or whatever you want but the truth is that meador is all you have. and if hs comes out shooting the long ball well you will lose to them too. enough said! gl hs lets not get to carried away now.....this game will be settled on the court not on this board so lets play nice or i will shut this down
  11. i think rbs will win but i don't think it will be a huge blow out they have size to compete with meador and when i saw hermitage springs beat them it was with the outside shot not at all inside with their big zone. so my guess is rbs by 10
  12. ok willy i'm sorry i confused you. when i said "thoughts" i meant any thoughts about 3 point shooting in the district
  13. after makin this post yesterday i got to see my wildcats light it up from beyond the arc. i don't know the exact #'s on the game but i know they shot the ball extremely well. not just individually but as a team i would say they hit 8-10 in a game where they only scored 48 points in a victory over gordonsville and as a team they probably shot 50 percent from deep. not many teams can shoot the ball that well for # and %. so that's my opinion of a good shooting team
  14. yeah i believe much like the rest of you that clay co will take this one easily
  15. i don't know what kinda hermitage fan can leave before the game is over but you are almost a shame cuz you shouldn't give up. we've only lost one homecoming in the past 10-15 years and i remember 3 years ago in 2001-2002 when the boys came back from a 15 point half time deficit to win. the boys played an unbelieveable second half including 4 3's in a row from matthew smith capped off with a 3 and a layup by william russell for the win. congrats wildcats.
  16. the hs basketball team is better than last year but they still have alot of work to do like learning their rolls and playing hard for the whole game not just a half. they are very young and i thing they have a promising future for the next couple of years.
