It sounds as if a creative writing course is needed at Grace and you need to sign up for it. If the Pirate football teams plays as well as their posters post, it should be a shoo-in. Shhhhh! Don't let the Alcoa loyal hear you say that. I haven't seen them play, but they are a bunch of tough posters.

The Alcoa question is exactly the type that can't be answered as the play-offs are structured now. Many people in TN might like to have the question answered with a game, which seems to be what many Division II fans desire. Maybe the TSSAA would listen if enough people wanted the real answer to questions such as this one which occur each year. However, if Alcoa played a Division II school in the play-offs, the loyal Alcoa fans would certainly dominate the Division II boards. Maybe Division II posters like movin want to stay in their own little world.

Several people seem to think that Alcoa would be the championship team of TN. Check out the Class 3A, 4A boards. I know this is purely conjecture, since the game will never be played, but what about Ensworth or MUS, against Alcoa? The Alcoa seem to think that these are the only two teams that could give them a game from Division II teams this year.

Are you a student at Lipscumb or a graduate? Your posts makes no sense. What does "lauging" mean? Bo Wallace is a nice kid and a great athlete and I bet your coach would have loved for him too play for Lipscomb. Giles County has been fortunate to have him.

This type of insightful post makes me wish that you were not stuck in the "pariah's division", so that more people could enjoy and learn from your post. It was both interesting and fun to read.

What is fun.....exactly? This "topic" is about a kids future and where he may end up playing college ball. The Cindy Lauper "I just want to have fun" are is somewhere else. Respectfully sir, the belittling comments regarding the academics of one school in comparison to another school are not appropriate and anyone who makes them, (especially on a football board) sounds like a pompus snob. I am simply pointing this out to the posters who make them. It is fun, because the poster try to imply in a offhand and polite way that Ensworth does not measure up academically to MBA. I answer in a very clear and more forthright way that those remarks are innappropriate and that saying something nasty in a polite way does not make it any less nasty. Some of the remarks seemed to politely imply that the young man in question might not be able to "make it" academically at MBA and to this I reply foul. As long as you reply, I will probably be here to answer. Taking sports boards too seriously is ridiculous and wise people should not under estimate the fun that they offer. Life is difficult and we need to have fun when possible. Thank-you for your attention.

hdcastle, if you can't answer the question just don't try. What did you mean by Ensworth is no MBA? Specifically? Certainly Ensworth does not seem jealous of MBA, but I can't say the same for MBA. Several posters, not all certainly, seem extremely jealous of the great season Ensworth is having this year. On a board about an outstanding young man, several of the MBA bunch keep bringing up academics and implying that Ensworth cannot compete with MBA in the academic department. I am calling them on it, and that includes you, if that is what you meant by your remark. I would agree that Ensworth is no MBA in one respect, and that is that Ensworth has got the superior football team this season. Is that what you meant as well? If that is the case then we have nothing more to discuss. I hope Darkwa is ok.

In what way was my post out of line? On one hand, it is a stupid argument but in your last line, you joined in the same stupid argument. Perhaps I didn't understand you correctly. What is the implication of "EHS isn't MBA? Do tell.

I'm glad you liked my post. You sound like a nice fellow. I have gotten the feeling since MBA is not doing as well at football this year, that some of the posters are attacking Ensworth's ability to academically prepare their students for college. It borders on nasty, because it seems as if the MBAers suggest that Ensworth has compromised academics for football. This might be translated as some of the Ensworth players who are really making a difference couldn't make it academically at MBA. This does offend me for some reason, and I think if MBA had ever had a chance to have Darkwa as a part of their program, they should have jumped on it. It seems that he would be a credit to any school because he is a gentleman, athlete and scholar. You don't really sound all that pompous, but lordy mercy, some of the other posters from MBA must walk around with it stamped on their foreheads.
