  1. Obviously, pitiful ol' Chuckey-Doak. Greeneville's recruit? You East Greene County people are clueless. What about Chuckey-Doak's center? isn't he from Connecticut? Sounds like Murphy may a better recruiting budget. You summed up your IQ level when you said that BJ doesn't play running back anymore. If you want to get better, don't play your starters the WHOLE GAME, MORONS! Don't feel bad though, South Greene did the same thing. I have to give props to West Greene, they did their best to get their young kids reps so they could gain some experience for the future (eventhough they complained too, about our 2nd and 3rd string running right up the middle and scoring, again, and again). I guess CD was trying to get ol' JuiceBox's stats back to a respectable level. CD probably should give it to #24 and #39 a little more, they didn't quit. Big Juice hung it up until he saw the clean uniforms go into the game, and then boy was he fired up. Talking about stupid student fans, some little CD guy came over in front of all the Greeneville fans late in the game, mooning them and saying, "Kiss Is, Kiss Is!" (Country version of Kiss This). County fans get this, one reason Willie C can get so open is because you can't key on two people at the same time. Try to stop BJ, and Willie goes, try to stop Willie and BJ goes. The one or two series that BJ was in, Ol CD couldn't hardly touch him. If Willie C isn't in the game, Stewart probably gets loose for about 225 instead and the score would be like, 51-13. Going for it on fourth down? Well lets see, do you punt from the other teams 35? Probably not. As for the onside kick, couldn't have been executed much better? But when your playing 11 on 12 its hard to get some calls, and spots (CD be thankful for the spots you received the whole night) Someone on here mentioned the spot on the onside kick being bad, what about CD td at the end of the first half? Collins was at least 2 yards passed the line of scrimmage, and guess what, the referee went over looked at it and said, "They're gonna beat the county out of them anyway, Just give it to them!" And you wanted to mention something about getting people hurt. I would bet my bottom dollar to say that the reason coach Ballard was wanting to score so fast, was to get the clock running and to get out of there before someone got hurt, real bad. I will give Chuckey Doak credit, they had a good PA announcer. Final Word: City Residents- Pay City and COUNTY Taxes County Residents- Pay COUNTY Taxes= Greeneville "THE REAL COUNTY CHAMPS, AGAIN" and I'm predicting the Buffs to be the County School System Champs
  2. Hey CW, You guys front the bill from the Greene Coach, put us in a nice hotel, feed us, and it could happen. I sent you a text message this morning. I know your busy trying to nail jello to the wall, but hit me back.
  3. I think the first d-line should stay in as long as Boles stays in, no cheap stats.
  4. All but a couple of coaches get a check. It is more than what the county coaches make. If you break it down for what time is put in starting in April until around the December, the GHS coaches make very little money. So the money they make is irrelevant to the success of the program. It helps having coaches who have done it before. Many of the county schools have coaches who may have never played football. Maybe have played but not coached well themselves, so who do you blame. When your on the bottom and you have no where to go but up, EFFORT and TECHNIQUE is most IMPORTANT! Not translating and trying to teach what you hear Bob Kesling talk about on Saturdays. Someone mentioned it in an earlier post, go watch a county team practice, and then watch Greeneville practice. The only similarities is that they both wear helmets and use a football. County folks who just love to gripe, meet the Devils at Burley Stadium at 7:30, Monday through Thursdays all through the summer (EXCEPT FOR DEAD WEEK). Thats a big difference. I could go on and on. Effort can substitute for what money can't always buy.
  5. By then Greeneville's enrollment will be lower, the way Moshiem keeps growing, West Greene could posibly be the largest school by enrollment. Go Devils beat the Rebs! Can't win em' all if you don't win this one!
  6. Your joking right? Julius is not a man. 250 + lineman race at the jamboree? come on now! didn't even win that!
  7. I wanted to brag on the Devils and there work out program, I just heard today that around 15-20 players squated over 400 pounds with about 10 really close to that. That is awesome if it is true. Just by looking at them, I believe it!
  8. I heard Greeneville and Dobyns-Bennett will be scrimmaging this fall, is there any truth to that? Where will it be held? Should be a great showing of talent.
  9. Every bit of success the Devils experience over the next season will depend on the commitment by the players this summer to get their bodies prepared for another long season. Also the success is relevant to the coaching staff in place at Greeneville. The Devils lost some key bodies at QB and WR. Can the coaching staff develop those younger guys into key players? Has the coaching staff had any changes made since the end of last season? Just curious.
  10. The Devils were missing a few guys at the WR position. They were missing a few key back-ups too. Only about 8 seniors also!
  11. From what I have been told, the position to watch Carmichael play is Safety or Corner.
  12. Morristown West @ Greeneville- Friday 5:00- Burley Stadium
  13. Renewing an old rivalry is always sweet! Game time is 5:00 @ Burley Stadium
  14. Will the Cobra's travel well? Hopefully better than Brainerd?
