  1. Yeah we think you are joking. We think you are trying to be funny. Down in McKenzie, many of us don't really care about Murphy and what he has to say. We like surprising folks down this way. On the other hand we didn't play Union County last year. Now if you're talking about Union City, then "that Comer man" beat ya'll. That's what happens when you give the man 6 turnovers. You know, 8 fumbles, 5 recovered by the Rebels and an interception, remember? I think you do. Butchie is right!!!
  2. I would like to see McKenzie win their last game for the senior's sake. Terrible, terrible year! Worse year Comer has ever had in his career. Hopefully these guys will make a good push to the end. Will we have an upset? It's possibly but you never know.
  3. This one could get ugly. Adamsville is a pretty good team. McKenzie has A LOT to work on. We looked real good in the first half last week then fell apart in the second half. It used to be the other way around. Fundamentals of tackling should be the most important thing since half the defense last week with Huntingdon can't tell if they're playing football or pin ball. Word of advise, wrap up and bring them down don't try to just hit 'em with your shoulder, you won't get anywhere. I don't know how many times I saw that last week and at least 3 defensive lineman had Warbritton wrapped up in the backfield and some how you see #29 sprinting down the field. How does this happen? Nothing against Ty but you might be seeing a new QB this week or next. It's time to change it up. Can't get any worse than it already is but McKenzie could suprise everyone in this game.
  4. The way this year has looked from Week 1 to Week 7 you could possibly see Jack Surber taking the QB job within these last 2 games. He might not start but could get playing time. Nothing against Ty but there has to be a change. Can't get any worse than it already is.
  5. Maybe but the thing is they can tell him who to cover and he wings it.
  6. No Butchie.....to clarify I'm saying why is Hunter Lowe still on defense? He's already left the team and quit this season. Why let him come back. He hasn't done much and hasn't proven himself to the team or the fans that he's worthy to wear the Rebel uniform right now. Sure he has some rushing TD's but when it comes down to crunch time he chokes.
  7. What has happened to this McKenzie team? Where is the leadership? When we play it looks like a cemetery out on the field, dead. We have the talent but no effort what so ever. We do have some playmaker's out on the field.....Colin Smith, Grant Lowrance, Noah Lowrance, and even Austin Chapman but them 4 can't do it themselves. You can put little Bubba Allen in there and he'll make a believer out of you. It's bad when your DB's are the ones leading the defense in tackle's and your DL and LB are leading in missed tackles. I just can't help but ask why is Hunter Lowe still on the field? Every game it seems like he gets "hurt" and leaves the game. I know I'm probably going to get slammed for this but who cares I'm tired of seeing this crap. Get his butt off the field especially on defense! It's bad when you stick him out there as a DB and a few players on defense have to show and point out to him who to cover. Talk about ignorance. Might as well put a freshman out there. When you look at the books some of these games are lost because of turnovers or because of the amount of missed tackles. It's ridiculous to watch this years team because of nothing but stupid mistakes and lack of effort. I hope to see McKenzie beat Huntingdon but you never know in this sport.
  8. This one could be a good game. TCA's defense has been getting better since the playoffs started but if Comer and company can handle Jabriel and come out firing on offense, then the Rebels will take this one with ease.
  9. This one will be a tight one. Dog fight to the end. "Get your popcorn ready" for this one!
  10. Going into this game I was a little uncertain about the outcome. Being an '09 alumni of McKenzie I knew how important this game was for the school as well as the town. Winning this game would be 5 straight wins for McKenzie over Huntingdon, 3 straight at Paul Ward Stadium. Coach Comer and crew were prepared for this match-up. For the past two weeks everyone has asked me, "What is do you think about this game?" and all I could say was, "Get your popcorn ready!!!" McKenzie needs class? A couple of years ago I remember a certain Huntingdon individual at a Babe Ruth Huntingdon/McKenzie game,(sure it's baseball but it's Htown/Mactown), that told all the McKenzie fans in the stands that they were trash and needed to go home to their trailers. And the Huntingdon coach was the one that said this. Now was there any class or sportsmanship in this? I didn't see any. Now it's McKenzie and Huntingdon, the cross-the-creek rivalry, it's going to get intense and crazy, especailly when it comes to football but there's no sense in that what so ever. Swenson just didn't have a good enough game plan going into this shootout. Huntingdon didn't look too bad but still had many errors. #18 and #11 were two great players. They ran the ball hard and did a little damage. Max Arnold's air game just picked the Huntingdon defense one by one. Now as for McKenzie people doing stuff over with yall's statue, I don't know. I didn't wait long enough to see any of that going on. There will always be people that are like that on both sides during this game. But overall McKenzie fan are loyal and not winers. Huntingdon fans are much the same too. But McKenzie did dominate this game. After two straight possessions with the outcome being fumbles, Huntingdon didn't have much of a chance. For us being so-called unsportsmanlike, who even thought of that? Now I understand that in a rivalry game usually both teams want to run the score up because well it's your rival. Coach Comer could've easily ran the score up by scoring another touchdown or even a field goal but he didn't. Instead he took a knee. Yeah that was unsportsmanlike. But everyone is intitled to their opinion but as for this so-called unsportsmanlike and class, Sounds like Huntingdon needs a little of some of the both.
  11. If McKenzie's rush defense is as great as it has been then the TCA run game won't have much of a chance to do some damage even though more than likely Washington will be the only one rushing all over the place. McKenzie needs to have their "A" game going in this one. McKenzie just needs to come out playing smart offense and that can of whoop arse defense they usually have. McKenzie should have this by 10.
  12. The War Eagles of West Carroll won't have a chance
  13. After a sketchy game with Westview, McKenzie seems to be improving. They moved the ball better that night. I have no idea how Dresden looks this year but from the past couple of years they seem to improve some. However I still HAVE to go with my Rebels of McKenzie. Good luck friday night Rebs!!!!
  14. I believe that the Rebels will surprise a lot of people this year. They've lost a lot on both sides of the ball but the upcoming players are stepping up to the challenge. With Coach Comer at the helm this team will be outstanding. McKenzie Rebels
  15. From what I've seen, this years team is moving pretty fast in the weight-room. The team is getting stronger and amazes me how they have been progressing. It will be tough to replace all that McKenzie has lost but I think they can pull it out and make it happen. McKenzie Rebels
  16. I like it Buchie!!!! McKenzie Rebels
  17. This one should definately be a good, No, GREAT game to see. McKenzie is coming off a thriller win over Adamsville and also securing Coach Comer's 100th Career Win as head coach. The REBELS are on a roll, so far. They now matchup against Trousdale County, a very desciplined team on the offensive side of the ball. The McKenzie Defense will definately need to step-it-up a knotch this week even though they are having success. I will no predict a score for this one. I do say that McKenzie will come out on top with the score being whatever they see fit to make it.... McKenzie Rebels
  18. The only thing Union City really has to do is be on their A game on defense to contain Holder. The passing isn't as good as it has been over the last couple of years. The only thing they really do is run Holder and Thompson. Huntingdon is a good team don't get me wrong but I think Union City can pull this one out and not make as many mistakes as they did before. If Union City can control Huntingdon's running game then they should come out with a victory. Union City WINS by however they see fit. McKenzie Rebels
  19. This one will be a good, hard hitting, nasty match-up. McKenzie is coming off a good win over Riverside as well as Adamsville over Humbolt. McKenzie's defense is tough to beat and Adamsville's offense is pretty good as well. So this one is one you will just have to come see if you want to know how this match-up ends. I say the REBELS by however much they see fit. McKenzie Rebels
  20. I do think this will be a good, hard hitting, close game in the making. McKenzie is coming off of a BYE week and Riverside is coming off a victory over Westwood but I think the BYE week for McKenzie will help them get over this Riverside team. Riverside is a good ball club but I don't think they have what it takes to beat this powerful Rebel company. McKenzie's defense is too strong for the Riverside offense. Rebels win by however much they choose. McKenzie Rebels
  21. After looking at the bracket TSSAA has on their website, I think South Pitt will do just fine. South Pitt is an incredible team as always but I look for them to take home the gold. We're still supporting yall over here. GO Pirates!!!! McKenzie Rebels
  22. Here we go, a big time classic, the Rebels and Mustangs. Huntingdon has a pretty good team this year along with the Rebels. For the Rebels, the defense will have to be one their A game for Holder, as for the Mustangs, they should get ready for this mad bull Rebel team they are about to mess with. This will be a close, hard fought game to where it will probably come down to the last couple seconds of the 4th quarter. I like how stang50 is already getting all cocky and basically trying to say that McKenzie might not have a chance. All Rebel fans, let this yahoo get cocky, let him wait and see what the Mustangs get themselves into. No predictions just whatever the scoreboard says at the end of the nightcap. McKenzie Rebels
  23. Yeah there isn't much to say about this one except the Rebels along with the Rebel crowd will be happy with this homecoming. This one doesn't need much said about what will happen. Rebels win and win big. And I mean BIG!!!! McKenzie Rebels
