  1. No one at SM cares about any of the private schools successes or failures, but it is ironic that the word on the street is ND turned in SM for the mess last year and everyone seems to find joy in pointing fingers at SM. Believe me, if SM wanted to create issues for other schools players eligibility, they could but they won't. I would be surprised if the tip came from someone they least expect.
  2. Word on the street is the TSSAA is checking into ND for possibly providing incentives for athletes to attend school there. This would not be a problem if they were playing in the private league or if the kids did not participate in their TSSAA sanctioned sports.
  3. Both teams will improve from tis game. Signal's offense is getting better. Having a big FB in the last few games has really helped open up the offense. Thy did not have this the first three games. The d needs work. SP has a great coah and will be fine. It's a great game every year and i hope it continues for many years
  4. SM never did stop SP and SP never stopped SM, and dont forget SP scored two TD's off SM turnovers as well The play in question was a touchback. It doesnt matter if the ball hit the kid at the 20 and went into the end zone. Once it crosses the goaline on a kick-off it's dead .I will say that #2 at SP is the real deal. He is the best back I seen in HS this year. SM finally gets back to .500. Good luck to SP the rest of the way.
  5. Im sure the kid wants to be on the field as much as possible. he played both ways all year when they won the state and he made two picks in the Trousdale game. he is a player.
  6. What was Greenville's regular season record last year?
  7. I don't see anything wrong with what Blackman, CCS, or SM did in scoring points a bunch of points, so I'm not pointing fingers. If SC scores 50 tonight, it SM's job to stop it. You never replied to my question. So it's okay to win 36-0, but not ok to win 72-36. You must have been picked on as a child and never got over it.
  8. So in your mind it's okay to beat another team 36-0, but your a poor sport to beat a team 72-36. Also, CCS's best player was scoring late in game when they put 50 on Marion, but that's okay because it's CCS. I think Blackman beat us by that amount, but that was also okay. And by way, there were only a few starters in the game when SM scored their last TD and it was 55 yard off tackle play. The key block was a ninth grade fullback. It's sad folks like you just try to find something negative to write about Signal. Haters are going hate.
  9. This kid never had an opportunity to play college football. Before coming to SM he played only 2 quarters of HS football in his HS career. At SM he's carried the ball less than 45 times all year. He wants to get a HS diploma...that's his goal.
  10. There are over a hundred out-of-zone kids attending Signal that do not play sports. It's public record so go read it yourself if you enjoy that sort of thing.
  11. There were no high-priced attorneys that attended the meeting today on Signal's behalf. Everyone that went to meeting today did so on their own time and at their own expense. Keep talking if it makes you feel better.
  12. we never got the ball back so she was lying. Go Eagles.
  13. I was at the CCS baseball game and my son is on the team. It did not feel good to see their senior ace pitcher strike out our eight and ninth graders. But good for them. We never complained to the local paper when Blackman hung 70 points on us earlier this year...they just beat us. We mercy ruled CCS with less than 3 minutes in the game by running the football and we are poor sports. I hope we score 70 on SC too!
  14. Talk about rationalizations. If it went the other way, SM would have been vilified. no-hitting the SM baseball team last year was like playing a JV team. This year they will get better. Also, when Blackman hung 70 on us earlier this year. We were not crying to their local paper about them being poor sports...we just got beat. Good luck to SC next Friday!
  15. ed It's so funny that no one every defended SM or jumped on CCS last spring when CCS beat them in baseball 15-0. They pitched their ace the whole game and he got a no-hitter. Signal started two 8th graders, three ninth graders and had no seniors. We just got beat and hats off to CCS.
  16. After a kid is in the school for a year by hardship or NCLB, they are eligible by TSSAA rule. That is why the kids from Howard have to set out that go to SM on NCLB. If they played ball at Howard they must sit a year. He have some kids in that situation. Tim did not play ball at a TSSAA school and had hardship to attend Signal Mountain moving from Georgia to Hamilton County. Does that help? By the way the AD at SM thought she handled everything correctly if you read in the TSSAA rule book on what constitutes an eligible player.
  17. Boy you cannot take it. Do I need to copy some of your funny post against SM over the last 7 weeks? You are just weak and thinned skinned.
  18. I answered three times. The only kid that ever played football at SM from the 58 area set out 12 months just like any other kid that had a previous record of participation that did not have a bonifide change of address. You can only deflect for so long.
  19. catch up drippy hose...this was a response about a kid from HWY 58.
  20. I answered you rather quickly but you cannot read. The kid set out for a year before he played varsity football after enrolling in SM. He did this because he did not move, but had a hardship to attend Signal MT to attend school only. He also had a previous participation record from a TSSAA school. Tim did move from North Georgia and was granted at hardship to attend SM from the County. As I stated in my original post, SP did what it took to make it work for this boy that played every game at LFO last year.
  21. The boy had a hardship to attend SM and set out for 12 months from varisity participation just like the Howard kids on NCLB. Next question.
  22. Keep talking...did he live with his guardian while in Georgia? If so, did she have a bonafide change of address with his guardian.
  23. Simple question. You are the one throwing stones at Signal. Did he go to LFO last year and did he play football. Did he live with his legal guardian in GA?
