you will be highly disappointed.  Memphis is my favorite B-ball town

As long as Da Haven wins I won't be disappointed BUT if Gene can get to Cookeville as Saulsberry has then it's going to be a BlackHaven party in Cookeville the first weekend in December!

Since I'm always on the Rural side of the Rural vs Metro infighting of West TN...here's my arbitrary jab. You know it's a rough year in Memphis when Senator and kwc are on the 1 and 2A boards this much

I coached Gene, so I'm invested in seeing him whoop y'all overconfident West TN yahoots

I remember exactly what Trezevant did. They won a couple of state titles and it was later discovered that their head coach was changing the grades of players on the team. Yes, I remember very well what Trezevant did. They CHEATED!

FALSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! QUIT THIS FAIRY TALE NARRATIVE

Same could be said about fairley. Who have they played and beat that is good ?  I can tell you that this team beat waverly last year in the semis and trousdale in the championship game while fairley got beat in the second round by a team we played twice and shut them out in the third round.
All of that being said I still think it will be a game this Friday.

    This isn't last year bub

McKenzie emabrrased your 2 seed amd we put a hunnit on them in 2 games...the Rebels of Mczenzie that is..

McKenzie's season ended with them 6-5.... Again, who has Peabody beat that's so good that makes ya'll sure that they will handle what Coach Robinson and the Bulldogs bringing to the table?

I have predicted a Peabody win by 3 tds.  You are right Vandy.  If we smack them in the mouth early, I think it will be an uphill battle for Fairley.  There is a different brand of football played in Memphis small ball.  I know they beat a depleted UC team but I tend to agree with Swo, who was there for the eye test.  We are very well coached and our guys are hungry for another Gold Ball

It's like people in West TN outside of Memphis done forgot ALL about What Trezevant JUST did a few years ago in "Small Ball" LOL...

Is this game being broadcast?  I would love to see that D against Pare.  I’m rolling with Da Haven...2 scores...maybe 10 points.  It will be a different game when Houston is forced to be one dimensional.

    I think it'll be lived streamed via Y O U T U B E. I think

Well, I haven't seen Wooddale to assess their talent. I'm just going by other posts in this thread that said we have more talent. So, let me ask you the corollary question- have you seen Covington play to assess our talent? If not, what makes you disagree?

I still want to invite you to come see this game.

I have not seen Covington. I ride with Memphis over the majority of any other area of TN when we're talking talent. Our issues usually are in coaching and special teams not lack of athleticism and talent. I'll be at the Whitehaven game btw

I'm a booster for the U of M and having some our Tiger alumni coaching at Wooddale is a good thing. However, coaching high school playoff football is a different animal. Admittedly, Wooddale has not advanced in the playoffs in years. Covington, on the other hand has a ton of playoff experience. J. R. Kirby was offensive coordinator for the Chargers as we advanced to the state championship game last year and the year before. He has had a hand in many of the Charger playoff wins over the last number of years. I believe that historically Covington is now 45-22 in playoff games, per the TSSAA website. Wooddale, by contrast, is 13-13 all-time in playoff games.

I saw something to the effect that Wooddale has not advanced this far since 2006. Covington should have the edge in talent, in playoff coaching experience, and in player experience deep in the playoffs. Add to that our success on our home field in Covington, and I believe that a Wooddale win would be a huge upset.

I'm going to invite you to drive up to Covington and see this one in person.

I wholeheartedly disagree about Covington having an edge in talent. Lol. We shall see tho

We do have goal line issues. We've left way too many points on the board.

That's situational coaching! We got the size upfront but we got a 170 lbs back running between the Tackles on the goalline!!! That's retarded. It's one thing to do it on a 3A or lower school but in the playoffs get a person over 205 lbs in the backfield, please. I nominate Thing 1 or Thing 2 (#1 /#2)
